Description: write whatever

athlete not cured - are u having an identity crisis? your avatar keeps changing - is this in response to mood swings or just cause u are technically very clever & can do all this animation stuff. (how do i do it??? i want to make lego people move!)
01mimi - March 5, 2004 12:01 PM (GMT)
i want to make this thread so hopefully people will write whatever they like. please write about your life, home, pets, interests, sports, the crap day you had at work, what shampoo you like, the lady at the shop who really pissed you off, how the country is going down the pan, what plans you have for converting the cellar, or anything else you like. then i can ask questions and also confine all my random waffle to one thread.
:D thanks alot.

I wouldn't worry about that ... nobody else does!
kiespijn - March 5, 2004 12:20 PM (GMT)
Spent the whole of yesterday indoors, until it was time for last post, but even running didn't get me there in time, so my mail will've only been collected this morning -_-
Hamster -LB - looks on with humouring disbelief - she's really organized :D

By a logical progression, Mimi, this post should soon be full to the brim with useful, insightful and unerringly correct nuggets of info about The Fall.
Meanwhile, we will continue to fill the other threads with irrelevancies :D

I just recorded an album at home. Doesn't sound much like The Fall though..

I'm trying to establish an organic, native Australian garden, but the odd plant has died, and many struggle. Finally, I think I know why; curl grubs (not the witchety grubs that Aborigines told settlers they ate before cracking up laughing whilst hiding behind a gum tree) ; it seems that my garden is infested with them.
I think they are the larvae of some Brazilian beetle. Anyway, they are bad for plants cos they eat the roots, so today, having investigated & finding no "organic" solution, I bought a bottle of very non organic grub killing solution (in a small brown plastic bottle with ridges & poison imprinted down the side).
So what.. die you mutherfucking grubs, die die die!!! :gun: :applaud:
Thank you for allowing me the space to express this.

Do you think that Cadbury's Creme Eggs are best eaten direct from the freezer, the fridge, or at room temperature?
fallfandave - March 5, 2004 01:45 PM (GMT)

Ugh, you can't chill a creme egg! How could you suck the middle out if it was frozen? That's the proper way, 'cos every one comes with a ready-made hole. Spooky, that.

Careful with those pesticides, I heard on the news today that a 3 headed, 6 legged frog was spotted at a playground. That would frighten me let alone a little kid. I hate frogs.
But I suppose things like that are quite common Down Under?
PS I always freeze chocolate
PPS I do appreciate any Fall info, but the important stuff does tend to get buried under a sea of tabloid-style puns. (am guilty  )

Security Hint? Good name for a cat.
Reminds me of how my sister came to own a teddy bear called "Call For Escape Route". She had too much currency to take through East German customs and had to buy something quickly. Bought the bear and gave it an appropriate Fall name since it helped her escape from E Germany. :D

I thought that was the cat's name when I 1st read it!
Something like SPG the hamster, I suppose...
fallfandave - March 5, 2004 03:04 PM (GMT)
if it was called SECURITY HINT....it would have to be shortened to SHUSH [given its initials r SH]....which would be ironic actually....cos they don't make much noise like dogs....not that callin a cat anything really matters to the more aloof type of cat that only wants to know where the cat food is...

Sounds like a Reagan-era movie plot: I can see it now, communist teddy bears being supplied to innocent visitors, then recording everything around them and transmitting the secrets to Moscow, then at the push of a big red button - boom! Only maverick CIA man Sly Stallone can stop them.
Or they could be KGB-trained killer bears, getting up in the middle of the night and rampaging round the house, slashing, maiming and killing ... only maverick cop Sly Stallone suspects, but nobody can make out a word.

SHUSH would also make a good name for a top-secret Soviet intelligence body, responsible among other things for training killer bears.

God, the majority of the population are shit, aren't they? Every day I have to wade through a jungle of cliches, and people being delighted over fuck-all. Good thing we have gun control in this country, otherwise I'd have pulled a Columbine years ago. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Well, 'it varies' is the short answer.
I'm currently experimenting with the freezer, hence the question.
As far as method goes, I'm very much at the 'with my fingers' end of the spectrum, sad to say.
I did once get a tube of body chocolate in a 'ha, ha only joking, love' attempt to move a little way towards the more interesting end, but it passed it's 'use by' date before it was ever in danger of serious use. Then we had kids, so the issue hasn't really, erm, arisen since.

You're currently experimenting with Mrs E's body temperature using the freezer? And then you're going to eat her with your fingers? I know we're an unconventional lot, but this is taking it a bit far...

You're right, of course, a sharp knife and fork would be better ... maybe a small hacksaw too if I leave her in there a little too long.
