This will be my first. I almost got to see them in '98, but they were playing in an over 18's venue which was having a huge crackdown on underage entrants due to police raids, so I didn't take the risk (I was 16). In retrospect it seems soooooooo silly!

I've only seen them in a support slot when they were supporting sleeper before the first album was out so this is my first proper silver sun gig - can't wait! :D

Let's think... three times at Bristol Fleece, once at Bath University, once at Bath Moles Club, once supporting James in Newport, V1997. Seven times! Missed them the one time they played at Glastonbury due to the sheer impossibility of getting to the stage they were on.
Anyone who heard the radio session yesterday will now know what I meant earlier when I said that they really nail the harmonies live...

i am a silver sun virgin, i tired but before i could drive my dad would never take me. now he loves them and we havent been able to see them. serves him right, i didnt get him a ticket! that is why i am so looking forward to it. i am a huge fan but was just too young to see them the first time i guess. but this time oh yes. oooh yes.

4 times (Bedford esquires twice, V97, Cambridge Junction) plus at least once when they were still 'Sun', plus the Bullets twice if that counts.
and they're also playing a gig this Monday. Not sure if anyone's heard about it...

Didn't think The Bullets ever played any gigs! And will we ever get to hear that record?
As for the gig on Monday, no I haven't heard anything. Got any details? :D

correct me if im wrong, and i might be, it does happen sometimes (no-one mention hell is for heroes or the drummer/bassist thing) but i think that might be sarcasm.
i reckon he means monday, the 20th? i think a few of us are going....maybe...

They played one gig when they were still called The Names, and then three as The Bullets. I saw two of them, and assuming those don't count, Monday will be my 7th SS gig (not including watching them at 6 Music)... once at The Junction, once in Manchester, once at the Astoria, once at the Portland Arms in Cambridge, once in Tunbridge Wells and once at ULU.

it's my first time and i cant wait!!! i just hope i can get there what with all the trains being messed up.... I only got into silversun a couple of years ago, and as i couldnt find any info on recent stuff, i assumed they split up, until, a couple of months ago, my AMAZING (only after this discovery, of course) boyfriend found this website so YAY!!!
