Way too hard a question, but I'll have a go anyway. Haven't got the Muse album yet (it's in the post) otherwise that would be on there, but from recent memory...
1) Hot Hot Heat - Make Up The Breakdown
2) Andrew WK - The Wolf
3) Silver Sun - Silver Sun... I don't listen to it ALL the time but this current wave of activity has led me to dig it out again.
4) Fun Lovin' Criminals - Welcome To Poppy's
5) OK Go - OK Go
6) The 45s - The 45s
7) Elbow - Cast of Thousands
8) The Darkness - Permission To Land
9) Jellyfish - Bellybutton
10) Celine Dion - Greatest Hits
One of these may be a lie, but I'll leave you to guess which.
Jayem - September 23, 2003 10:24 PM (GMT)
Wow, you mean there's actually someone on this planet apart from me that owns a copy of The 45s album? :D
Sweet G 24 - September 24, 2003 06:41 AM (GMT)
A lie?
It can't be Celine Dion can it, cause someone has to buy it :D
shed_jish - September 24, 2003 06:04 PM (GMT)

Bone Idle - September 24, 2003 08:45 PM (GMT)
Don't know about current top 10 playlist, but this week I 'ave mostly been listenin' to:
Terror Twilight - Pavement
Take Them On, On Your Own - BRMC
The Soft Bulletin - Flaming Lips
Happy Songs For Happy People - Mogwai
Gold Against The Soul - Manic Street Preachers
Philonski - September 25, 2003 08:28 AM (GMT)
This is not a good week for Radio Philonski. At home I've had
1. I Believe in a Thing Called Love - The Darkness
2. Bright Future in Sales - Fountains of Wayne
on repeat for days and days, while at work, I have four mp3s going round and round:
3. Do You Know Where You Are? - Thomson (am sick of hearing this - must delete it)
4. Blueside - Rooney (ditto)
5. IDC (don't know what this is - it's a half hour remix thing someone at work sent me and it's dead good)
6. SOS - Sludgefeast
Positions 7, 8, 9 and 10 are made up of tracks from my mental jukebox, and are thus out of tune and not recommended.

I love that track, but everything else I've heard by them sounds really bland...
shed_jish - September 25, 2003 05:34 PM (GMT)
in regard to the tubes- band from the 70/80 s. if you see it cheap, get 'remote control', but i'm not sure they made a cd of it. and c'mon! any of you heard of television?
Sweet G 24 - September 26, 2003 11:57 AM (GMT)
Only 'Television' by Mansun.
Sorry B)
Any Elvis Costello/Love fans?

Sweet G 24 - September 26, 2003 10:58 PM (GMT)
Pukka Song!
Love It!
Indeed All Problems Come Through The Media Usually
Ste - September 27, 2003 08:50 AM (GMT)
Flaming Lips: Hit To Death In The Future Head
Silver Sun - Silver Sun
Pulp: Different Class
The Darkness: Permission To Land
Lacuna Coil: Coma Lies
Ian McCulloch: Slideling
Sleeper: Smart
Creed: Weathered (sorry!)
Bowling For Soup: Drunk Enough To Dance
Beach Boys: Pet Sounds
shed_jish - September 27, 2003 10:01 AM (GMT)
ble. people say i might like them, but it's too much of a risk to buy a cd by a band i've never heard the music of when 'combat rock' sounds so good!
i need a job.
all i can tell you is they were around in the 90's and look vaguely like silversun, and might be good.

Any good? I've got Clouds Taste Metallic, Transmissions From The Satellite Heart, The Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi...
psycho_phil - September 28, 2003 10:24 AM (GMT)
lately i've been listening to:
1. Spiritualized - Let it come down (fantastic, want the new album, when i can be bothered to go to the shops)
2. Electric 6 - Fire!
3. Suede - Coming Up
4. SClub7 - Greatest Hits (really)
5. Shine 6
er, haven't been listening to many albums really, have been too busy getting drunk.
woke up this morning with a song by 'A' in my head after hearing it in the pub last nite. Think it may be the new one - 'Good Time'
Also a few other random songs:
The Donnas - Too Bad About Your Girl
Travis - ReOffender
Nas - I Know I can (not sure if its actually called that, u may or may not know the one i mean, its a bit of a regular on the jukebox down my local (i.e. i've heard it more than once))
The Darkness - I Believe In A Thing Called Love
I also own the 45s album if that makes people happy. its fucking good!

Very good, it's my favourite one out of their earlier albums - it's quite a different sound from their others older ones like clouds.. and transmissions - seems better produced and more in tune but still rocky rather than mellow like their newer stuff.
Get their album "Zaireeka" too if you can, superb if you can manage to play it - i've only heard it about twice and have had it ages
Sweet G 24 - September 28, 2003 10:40 PM (GMT)
This week its been 'Skin's' LP 'Flesh Wounds'
I look forward to seeing her this Friday
Damian - September 29, 2003 07:25 AM (GMT)
What I've heard of Skin's solo stuff hasn't really done it for me, but Easyworld are supporting her on tour so I still wish I was going. I was surprised by how quick the Bristol date sold out.
Sweet G 24 - September 29, 2003 11:58 AM (GMT)
Skin is someone you have to see LIVE, trust me!!
I'll tell you how Easyworld went on Saturday.
Damian - September 29, 2003 12:02 PM (GMT)
I saw Skunk Anansie loads of times, but what I've heard of her solo stuff doesn't do it for me. Great voice and that, but...
Sweet G 24 - October 1, 2003 09:28 AM (GMT)
'Skin's' LP 'Flesh Wounds' is a more down beat/slow, its not 'SA' of course but you have to understand there finished which is a shame.
Shes got my support for sure. Having heard the LP its 'Reasonable'
