Wasn't JB in discussions with record companies a couple of weeks ago? Should we assume that the lack of news is good or bad?

I got an email off JB today saying i could add the gig info back to the site - he'd asked me to take it off whilst they were negotiating the deal.. he didn't mention the deal in the email though so I dunno if the negotiations didn't yield the result he wanted so he's happy to advertise the gig anyway or if the deal is sorted so it's now ok to re-add the info.. or maybe they're still negotiating but he want's to promote the gig too now it's getting closer.
We shall see i guess (look in the 'tickets' thread for his email)

Another email from JB, not deal as of yet - says they'll release it themselves if nothing happens soon.. but it WILL be coming out one way or another. :D

I think it'll come out, it just might not be the huge grand return we were hoping for..
There's still time though, there's always the possibility they'll get some good promotion from the gig - specially if they get some good reviews out of it..
I'm guessing JB is still holding out for a larger label as I'd imagine they wouldn't have any trouble getting signed to a smaller label, I know a guy from B-Unique got in touch a while ago saying he'd like to help them with a deal so I don't think they're totally out of offers or anything that dire..
Time will tell i guess..

I mailed James a while back suggesting a couple of labels. One was Mighty Atom who signed 3 Colours Red, and he said that he would mail them. The other was B-Unique, and he said that he had already tried them and they said no. So I guess the 'offer of help' was as an alternative to taking the band on themselves! Ho hum.

Wierd, the guy seemed amazingly keen to sign them.. maybe he's like a talent scout but doesn't have the final say in whether they get a deal or not or something..
Or maybe they'd have given them a deal but not one as good as JB wants..
I'm not sure whether they're just looking for any deal so they can get it out or if he's still looking for a larger label as before.
