Title: Have A Listen And Feedback Please!

zinger5 - September 7, 2003 01:43 PM (GMT)
Hi all,

Whilst you all wait for the new Silver Sun album to arrive have a quick look at this temporary website i knocked up with my most recent track on it. The song is called "Jettison".

We were the singer and guitarist from the now defunct band 37seconds (many thanks to those of you who came to 37seconds gigs or bought cds, etc)

Here's the link: http://www32.brinkster.com/joeandpaul/

Hope you like the song - much more on the way soon!

Please leave feedback, etc or email it to me at justmurfs<AT>btopenworld.com - replace the <AT> with a @ (is to stop spammers!)

Cheers,

Joe Murphy

ps. See most of you at the Barfly! :)

I'll be perfectly honest... for the first minute, it came across to me like the sort of stuff Noel Gallagher does on Oasis B-sides, which doesn't really do it for me. But by the end of the track it had really grown on me - I like it. It would be good to hear some more...

It rules, especially the lead track which is still (I think) one of the best things they've done. The rest is more 'poppy' (i.e. less rock) than they became but still good.

I don't know why but "Top Trumps" is still one of my fave tracks of Silver Suns.. it's just.. great!

All the tracks on it are great - if you've not got many of the early singles, you should order the B-Side albums off of eil.com - you get the first 3 singles and BSides on the first one and a bunch of the B-sides off the next few singles on the second one.. worth every penny!

They have a promo copy of one of them in stock if you've got a bit of spare cash too! I'm almost tempted myself with that one.. :D

Hrm - replying to myself :)

Just a quick note to let you know that Jettison is now also available to listen to as a 256kb/s MP3 now - so now you can listen to it without hearing all that crackle and stuff.

Thanks for the replys folks - glad you like it. Plenty more to follow when i get some time at home instead of being in the office!

Cheers,

Joe Murphy
