sooo... had a real /family/ moment last night when at a friend's house (it wasn't my family). Bill bailey was on TELE! on his part troll tour! the entire household stayed in and watched it and had a really good fun laughing time.
JA. DAS HOKEY COKEY.
this thread may be used for discussion of all things bill. INcluding the Rave version of the bbc news theme tune.
hhaahahahahahahaha! omg... i shall not look at titties for a year...

Have you not bought the DVD yet? You'll get the full show and a short documentary on that Kraftwerk tribute... plus a half hour film of Bill comparing the tea and coffee making facilities in the hotels he stays in on tour. Bill Bailey is probably only one of a very small number of people that could make something like that funny...
He was brought up only five miles down the road from me. I've stood next to him in a pub once and either I'm very tall or he's very short...

ha! you must be kidding! i've entered Approaching Concert mode - i know silver sun are going to be playing soon and i neeed to have enough moolah*. i just hope they play somewhere that won't involve daft transport or overnight bags :\
*except going to see Tom Vek (cheap, nearby anyway)
and going to london for Curedrinks (parents are paying for it as they go on holiday without me the previous weekend)

Heh, I know what you mean.
I'm gonna try to get to more than one on the next tour. I've got offers of free accommodation in London and Cardiff, and relatives dotted all over the country (from Cornwall to Newcastle-upon-Tyne). I may be making good use of that Megabus service. London to Cardiff/Manchester/anywhere on the list for a quid? Nice.
Of course, it'll depend on work, but I imagine I'll be able to do at least two... three if they play in Colchester. ;)
shed_jish - January 23, 2005 06:40 PM (GMT)
i've always been a bit worried about megabuses. i think because trains are on tracks and will only go in certain directions but megabuses could take me anywhere. I suppose i should conquer my fear. meh.
shed_jish - January 23, 2005 07:02 PM (GMT)
erk! i will be conquering my fear - £1.60 to take me to london and back? wow! why didn't anyone tell me of this before? this is the best news ever!

I won't miss that programme if it never comes back. OK, it has had James Broad on there in the past (I genuinely spat out my coffee when he was introduced on the show) and it has the genius that is Bill Bailey... but it has Mark Lamarr. Surely one of the most singularly unpleasant people in 'light entertainment'.

WHAT? JAMES BROAD WAS ON NEVER MIND THE BUZZCOCKS?

Indeed. Around the time of I'll See You Around's release. He didn't appear to say much, but a friend of mine has been before and they apparently film for about two hours, then brutally edit it in such a way that it helps if you were a bit of a loudmouth during filming...

I love the way "Corby Trouser Press" has now appeared on the Google ads. Little things like that amuse me.
