Title: Tickets On Sale
Description: Get busy...
Damian - August 30, 2003 10:38 AM (GMT)
It was mentioned at the bottom of another thread, but I'm a little excited now and felt like making a new one...
Tickets are on sale now through www.ticketweb.co.uk and I'VE GOT MINE! They're 7 quid each. The booking fee is just under a quid per ticket, and you should add another quid if you want the tickets sent to you rather than collecting them at the venue. I admit it - I'm sad - I paid the extra quid!
One thing though - search for 'Silver Sun' and you won't find it. Either click on 'Barfly, London' or search for 'Silversun' as one word.
Now stop reading this and buy your tickets.

I paid for postage too - I'm not taking any chances! B)

Tickets booked - check.
Hotel booked - check. (We're going to do this the luxury way because I haven't had a proper holiday this year).
Just the train tickets to do now. I'm going to give it another week, so that everyone on here who wants tickets hopefully has them, then start shouting about it a bit, to see if we can sell it out. Ste - perhaps you could put a link to the ticket buying page from the homepage in about a week or so too?

Yep will do - just waiting to hear back from JB that i can add the gig info back onto the site, then will put it back up along with the link.

Whoooo-hoooo! My tickets came in the post today! :D :D :D Now I can actually start to believe that it might just happen!
qotsadanno - September 2, 2003 10:26 AM (GMT)
Mine also arrived this morning :D
Anyone catching the train from Brum?
I've learnt not to drive in London after taking over 2 hours to get less than 10 miles when I went to see QOTSA in Brixton.
Might mean having to get a stupidly early train back in the morning if I have work, but it's Silver Sun, so it doesn't matter!

AM I DREAMING? Woke up this morning to find my Silver Sun tickets waiting at the door. Brilliant. Christmas has come early! Now I've just got to find Camden Town, a B&B and book a bus from Glasgow. simple. See you guys there! :D

Do all the booking as soon as possible - affordable transport and accommodation for London needs to be booked as far in advance as possible. I'm staying in the Travel Inn at Tower Bridge, which is a relatively hefty £74.95 (this is as close as I get to a holiday this year, remember!) but will be split two ways. Should be possible to find a B&B for half that or less. Bung 'London Accommodation' into Google and good luck...

I've booked a couple of tickets for the gig today - been holding off due to indecisive mates. Also just booked the monday and tuesday off work..
I've got one mate who's definately coming and two who are still being indecisive so i figured i'd book a couple then if both the indecisive dudes eventually decide to come they'll only need to book one more and if neither do then at worst i'll only have one spare one to get rid of.
Just need to book the coach now..
Damian - September 2, 2003 08:12 PM (GMT)
I thought you were guestlisted!
Ste - September 2, 2003 08:19 PM (GMT)
Yeah - one ticket is for my mate Simon who's definately going, he's skint at the minute so i said i'd order his and i figured i'd get one extra as I figure it's pretty likely one of the other two guys will come at the very least.
If they both want to come, one of them will have to get themselves another ticket and if the worst comes to the worst and neither of them can come then I'll drag someone else along.. lol

My tickets arrived today. Tonight I'll book the train. Then everything's done and I can start getting stupidly excited.
Bone Idle - September 3, 2003 04:11 PM (GMT)
Looking at all the extensive plans you're all making to get to the gig, I feel kind of cheeky being only about an hour away by train and tube...
Damian - September 3, 2003 09:46 PM (GMT)
Not cheeky at all! All this makes it into an 'event' rather than just a gig for me, and I can't wait.
Jayem - September 3, 2003 10:53 PM (GMT)
I'm holding back on buying tickets for the moment, because I don't know anyone I could go with, or how I'd get there, or even if I could get a couple of days off work to do it...
Philonski - September 4, 2003 09:25 AM (GMT)
Do you need anyone to go with? You'd have plenty of friends once you got here! :-)
I live only about 25 minutes away, but I'm making an event of it too. Definitely taking at least one day off work.
silver scot - September 4, 2003 11:21 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I agree. I live near Glasgow and I don't have a scooby how I will get down there at the moment (I don't even know where Camden Town is!), or who I am going with. I've got my tickets though. All I know is that I wouldn't want to miss this gig for the world. We've waited long enough. I'm gonna make the most of it & maybe check out the sights of London too. My work should be ok about it. My advice is to just get the tickets now. Hey, at least you'll know you've got them and I don't think you'll have too much of a problem getting somebody to go. I may even have to go on my own but heck it's worth it! That's Rock n Roll. At least we'll all be there! :D
