Saw a load of bands I hadn't heard of on Friday, and one of them was cool - Johnny Panic. They reminded me a lot of The Jellys, but were perhaps less cutesy. The singer noticed my t-shirt and said that he liked Silver Sun and that their stuff was being produced by Al Clay, who did Neowave. I cooed a bit and he gave me a copy of their CD. It's not got their best songs on it, but it's still catchy and worth watching out for.
'Sound like The Jellys'? Now there's a recommendation.
The Jellys themselves might put together a third album next year when The Wildhearts are on a break. This came straight from me asking CJ, so here's hoping...
Interesting...I know a friend of these guys, will have to let them know of the mention...
