Title: 24

I generally watch next to no TV at all, but for some reason I started watching 24 last season and got hooked.
Just seen the first episode of series three - did anyone else? Looks like it's going to be fantastic.

Yep, it was indeed top - finally something to justify paying a sky subscription each month again!
Watched Jake 2.0 which was on before it too, that wasn't too bad either.

I was somewhat ambivalent about it, although I loved the first two series. Unfortunately any choice I had in the matter was taken away from me, as I had to work last night and didn't get home until 11:30pm...

I've just managed to rent the second season of 24 from my local library for just £2! I have a week to watch it all...

SHould be plenty of time - I missed season one when it was first on so bought the DVD's - I watched all of them within about 3 days worth of constant evening viewing - that show is bloody addictive.. should come with a health warning! Or maybe it's just me..

Do you know of anyone who's managed to watch the whole set in 24 hours?!
petester - February 13, 2004 06:37 PM (GMT)
I don't have a free 24 hours this week, but I might give it a go in a weeks time if I can get them to extend the loan!

I was going to do that, i got 6 hours into it, went for tea, and forgot about it.
series 1 that is.
Bloody SKY!!!!! Ive only got normal T.V and it pisses me off no end that BBC have lost the rights. Bugger...
Sorry.

It might well end up on Channel 4 some time later this year.
Missed last night's repeat showing because I was sat in A & E with a dislocated shoulder... perhaps I'm just not meant to see it?

we were going to do it here at uni, but instead its going to be 24 hour DVD-athon. a friend did it in sheffield uni, and it took him just over 20hrs, because they're 50 minute episodes. denied!! they were a bit pissed off (and very tired).
the best we've managed is all three beverly hills cops followed by series two of futurama, though we started at about 10pm which is not the best time to start really.

Before I start, I should say that there are no spoilers below...
I could be wrong about this, but I'd imagine that by episode 15 or so it would stop being fun if you were too tired.
But I did get through the box set of series 1 in about 4 days. The only problem was that I did this when series 2 was already showing, so I knew what the really big twist was, I just didn't know when it was coming. I'll say no more in case anyone waiting to watch series 1 hasn't yet watched series 2...

Ohhhmyyygoood!
Am *so* obsessed with that show. I've seen all of the last two series' and am sooo glad the third one is here!
I love the way series two ended...Such a great show!!

Anyone liking 24, I'd recomend checking out Alias - it's a little less based in reality than 24 but it's almost as good storywise with lots of twists in the plot and cliffhanger endings. And it has a guest appearance from Quentin Tarantino in series one which is pretty cool.
I've got series 1 and 2 on dvd and am hooked - unfortunately it seems sky one aren't picking up series 3 and i've now got to wait till around november for channel 5 to show it - noooooooooooooooooooo! Season 2 ended with a massive cliffhanger ending too - the wait's gonna kill me! :

i didnt see any of series 1 of 24, but got really into series 2. we dont have sky, but my housemate has downloaded some of series 3, so i've seen the first two episodes, and its shaping up to be another classic. i was actually a bit disappointed with episode 1 of series 3, but episode 2 is better.

A friend of mine has obtained high-quality versions of episodes 1-15 and will hopefully lend them to me once he has watched them. Lost weekend, here I come!
