Just wanted to let people know a new series of the excellent "Trigger Happy TV" is starting up tonight - "Trigger Happy US" is on Channel 4 at 11.05 (i think)..

Will be interesting to see how Americans take to Dom Jolies pranks.. wonder how long it takes him to get beatup or arrested..

I thought that - I did wonder if maybe it was like a US version of the show with different people doing the pranks but according to the writeup on SKY he's on it:

Dom Joly teams up with a new gang of comedic accomplices to unleash his unique style of humour on the unsuspecting American public.

hmm... i don't think it will be the same in america, but still worth watching. also, there are loads of (terrible) hidden camera shows in america, i think he'll be ok.

So far it's making me chuckle but not as much as the last series - the stuff with Dom Joly is good but the other people don't pull it off as well.. still funny but not as funny. worth watching though..

ugh. i don't like it as much at all. i think last series it had a sense of art to it... the music isn't as good, and there was also a melencohly element bought by the music in the UK. it's joined the ranks of boring-american hidden camera show. i like dom joly. the other people aren't great, i think the accents bring distance from the reality of the last series, an element i think made it special.
