My friend has sent me an email with the subject, "Once in a lifetime opportunity". I expected it to be spam with a title like that, but he was inviting me to a gig. It's Def Leppard and Whitesnake! So what do you reckon? What's that going to be like? And should I go? I don't get to see my friend very often and he hasn't invited me to anything for years...

"Animal" is a cheese-rock classic.
My answer to your question, on balance, would be "if he's paying"...
I'd say no, but then I saw Damian's response; if he's paying...
It might be interesting to see a one-armed drummer, but there are videos.
If it floats your boat, so to speak........
I once went with friends to see Paul Rodgers. He had every rock cliche under the sun, yet I had to admit that he was good, and I enjoyed it. B)
So go with an open mind, and see what the day brings, otherwise one is in dangerous musical snobbery territory, and heaven knows we don't have people like THAT on our board, do we????????????
