Title: Agaskodo Teliverek

We went to see Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya Ya last night - although we never got to see them, which was a shame. There was someone very rubbish on for a long time before them, so we left. (I overheard some people asking for a refund.)

But! One of the support bands was Agaskodo Teliverek, who were amazing! They were two Hungarian blokes dressed in 70s sportswear (like The Duloks) and playing crazy surf guitars and a laptop. I can't believe I haven't heard of them before, cos they seem to have worked with a lot of well-known people.

I'll check them out. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight... OK, that sounds like Melt Banana having an accident in a fairground. Intriguing!

I was due to have a very giggy weekend. On Friday I saw Kid Carpet (in Bristol, there's a Kid Carpet gig along more frequently than there's a bus). A fiver got two very different and unusual support acts, a top class DJ and the Carpet man himself, playing largely to people who by then had become drunk in the worst way - i.e. boring and talking over everything. This did leave me room to get to the front and jump around though, so all was good. He also announced at the gig that some people have finally offered to stump up for him to make a second album, so that's coming.

On Saturday I was supposed to see Brakes, but they cancelled. And rescheduled to a crazy week in November where, after a period of relatively few gigs, I find myself attending four in five days. This rescheduling makes it five out of five. Eek!

I'm listening to The Gay Hussar on their Myspace, they sound fun.

Five out of five is ouch. :P The most I've done is four I think.

I've missed my last two gigs, one due to the support act cancelling (so I lost my money too) and the other was The Hoosiers. I bought the ticket ages ago and didn't really want to see them, it was easy enough to get rid of the ticket though, and I only made a £1 profit. :P

There are a few decent gigs in Manchester at the moment with In the City on, I'm off to see acoustic Kid Harpoon, Wojtek Godzisz, Thom Stone, Audrey Ryan and someone else on Sunday afternoon at Night & Day, all for £5. :)
