Title: Oropesa Beach Festival

The Oropesa Festival was simply great. I've been going to Oropesa on vacation every summer since I was 1 year old. Now I'm 21.........

Never in my life has been THERE something as cool as this year's edition of the festival (the second one). I couldn't believe it when my brother gave me the program on the concert and read that Silver Sun was going to play!!!

Of course, the concert was great!! They made all the people move and dance, and even some of the audience were lipsinging the lyrics!! I spent from 19.30h to 21.00 watching the soundcheck and all the artists that were enjoying the delicious PAELLA, so typical from the zone. The concert began at aprox 22.00 with two opening bands from the outskirts of Oropesa, specifically from Castellon. They were Motel and Furious People. I personally liked them a lot. But no groups as Silver Sun and the following group, Kubichek!. You should check them to. But the last two groups.... they were lousy. They made all the people sit down or start looking for their friends. (I have to say that the only people that were dancing and singing with Standstill were their friends. There were like 30 friends of them!!!! LOL)

But thanks, Silver Sun. You guys made us have a GREAT night!!! Hope we can have you back soon!! I think I already told James that.... (yeah, i was the girl who spoke with you some time after you guys finished! I think your name was James... LOL)

I was in the oropesa and the concert was really GOOD (in spanish "acojonante"), i had to drive 1 hour and a half but it doesnīt matter if the result was so good.

I wanted to speak with James after the gig, but it couldnīt be.

This year i have been in two special concerts, the Merrymakers in Valencia and Silver Sun in Oropesa!

why you weren't able to speak with him?? He was right on the right side of the stage, just with the crowd. It's not like he was in the backstage absolutely unreachable.........

Aye, it's not usually difficult to grab a chat with James after an SS gig should you feel so inclined.

I'm jealous of you both - it sounded ace! Having said that, I've just had one of the best weekends of my life at Reading Festival. Everything about it was just... perfect. Never seen so much good music in such a short time.

You've seen both Silver Sun and The Merrymakers this year? I am now seething with jealousy! I love The Merrymakers but I doubt I'll ever get to see them. Any chance you could PM me and tell me what they're like live, set list, that kind of thing?

If anyone reading this doesn't know about The Merrymakers please allow me to make the heartiest recommendation I can muster. They are brilliant and have appeal to anyone into Silver Sun (duh!), Jellyfish, The Wannadies and other such pop wonders!
