Harsh, it was sold out, so I guess you didn't get a ticket?

It was good, though I only saw the first 15 minutes of the Scouting For Girls set as the car-park I used closed at 10pm. I still managed to get locked in but luckily the staff were still there and able to let me out.

you're not wrong. I had a feeling it might be! Although it worked out ok because i cooked some chicken in honey and mustard, and it was delicious.

and tonight i'm seeing devotchka. hurrah!

I know The Hussy's will have been great, but were Scouting For Girls any good?

Alex H - August 22, 2007 07:37 PM (GMT)
I only saw the first three Scouting For Girls songs...they were good but I wasn't disappointed about having to leave early. Despite listening to them before, I didn't realise they only had keyboards, bass and drums until they came onstage.

But that's nowhere near as good as seeing The Hussy's! :P They're fun to watch too, even if you couldn't hear them.

i think it depends on how delicious the hussies were.
this means you were in manchester?
damn, you could have parked by my friend's flat all hours (!)
and we could have said hi!

Alex H - September 1, 2007 06:59 PM (GMT)
If The Hussy's are in Manchester there's a very good chance I'll be there too. I'll remind you on next time they play.

I was glad to get home early on this occasion anyway as I was quite tired.

New EP out now, mine's ordered from Amazon, so given that there's a postal strike at the moment, it'll proabably reach me in around, say, February.

Various links to how to purchase it from their MySpace site. Sister Mary Jo is one of my fave tunes around at the moment, go listen if you haven't already done so!

i'm beginning to wonder what attracted me to this band recently...

Why? What's up? Their new EP is brilliant!

Alex H - October 30, 2007 07:56 PM (GMT)
I do think their first EP is the best, and the third one their third best; it's ocake but perhaps will grow on me.

I think they haven't hepled themselves by having the best 2 tracks (on this EP) as the last 2 on the EP.

If you join The Hussy's forum (and make a few posts):
http://johnymchussy.freeforums.org

And message their street-team on Myspace:
www.myspace.com/hussystreetteam

...they'll send you a DVD of gig a fan filmed in Edinburgh at Christmas.

New album, Super Pro, available now:
http://shop.ebay.co.uk/items/?_nkw=super+p...b=&_trksid=m270

Not officially released until September, but it is The Hussy's themselves selling on ebay, just like they did with the first two EPs.

psycho_phil - August 5, 2008 10:28 PM (GMT)
London gig at the Purple Turtle, Camden, Friday 10th October. Definitely hoping to be there for that!

Pete - August 16, 2008 07:11 AM (GMT)
Can I add that Super Pro is a fantastic album? I especially love Roller Disco and Atom City Girl.

Edit: I've just made myself a ringtone from the introduction to Atom City Girl.

Alex H - August 16, 2008 09:59 AM (GMT)
My favourites are Roller Disco and T-Rex Records.

Philonski - August 16, 2008 11:46 AM (GMT)
I bought it this week but haven't listened yet. Excited now!
