I have exciting news, dudes. My melancholy/strange pop group Hong Kong In The 60s are playing our first ever proper full gig in a real venue on the 29th of June! And we want you to come if you'd like!

Place: The Good Ship, Kilburn (next to The Luminaire, where SS recently rocked the house)

Time: Doors at 8pm, we are on first at 8:30pm

We're terrifically excited. We're not a rocking rock rocker rocko band like Silver Sun, but if you also have a taste for quirky, sad, atmospheric indie pop played by attactive amateurs, then bloody hell you're in luck.

Not only will you receive the 5th album promo at the above gig, but James Broad will reveal what he was doing between Neo Wave and Disappear Here. It involves a time machine and being transported back to 1996 when Silver Sun were playing their first gig. This all after you've seen Hong Kong in the 60s of course.

Absolutely so, Alex. And that kind of promotional tool doesn't come cheap. We've spent our entire band budget for the next eleven years on the time machine* alone.


*actually just an old tanning booth filled with hallucinogenic drugs and a copy of Select magazine.
