Saw them last night in Cambridge...had a superb time. Proper punk frontman (with a quality whiteboy afro) and really good support from the rest of the band.

Air Traffic (whom I've wanted to see for ages...see previous thread) were supporting, were very good but starting to move towards being a Keane tribute band rather than the rather much better indie-piano-rock that they started out with.

Anyway...much recommended...the Pigeon Detectives EP is out on Monday 28th as well...it's good.

The current Air Traffic single sounds so much like Coldplay (vocals included) it's uncanny.

And when I heard Charlotte by Air Traffic it sounded so promising. I'm still wondering whether I should go and see them soon.

I agree with both of you...it's so annoying when you like a band for one style of music to find they've changed completely...

Having said that, they were good and they do have a decent stage presence...they may well be this summer's Keane...though with the added bonus of guitars for a bit of variation in their musical style...if you catch them on their current tour then you'll get the Pigeon Detectives as well who are superb

Bought the album (from Asda, I'm ashamed to say)

First listen - It's really enjoyable. I'm not sure it has staying power though. I'm wondering if it'll go the way of The View and The Shins.

In the meantime, I shall give it another spin tonight.

I take that negative view back, Never Even Told Me Her Name is quite cracking too.
