A gig! In MY neck of the woods!

I've seen them there before, just before Golden Skin came out. Great gig.

Why Thursday? Friday or Saturday would be much better. Still, a gig is a gig. I wonder where Bath is...

About 10 miles from Bristol.

All of Bath Moles's "national" band nights are on a Thursday. Be aware it'll be a club night - we're talking doors at 9, bands from about 10.30...

I'll probably have to give that one a miss due to the whole 'being across the country and having nowhere to stay' thing. Never mind, like.

I've got a one bedroom flat, and two sets of people who have put me up for gigs on several occasions in the past have been given first refusal. If they both say yes, I'll be rammed to the gills, but otherwise it'll be an open house to a couple more people. Will keep you informed.

BUT! Bath Central Travelodge is currently offering £26 rooms for that night. You'd have a five minute walk after the gig.

Actually... that's cheaper than a taxi to Bristol afterwards. Hmmm.

Well we shall see what's occurring by the time the gig is confirmed, like.

WOO HOO!! A gig, & only about a 45min drive away from me!! (if i put my foot down!) Can ne wait! Haven't seen the guys since the Disappear Here tour! (slack, I know!)

If anyone from (deepest darkest) Devon is planning to go & stuck for a lift then let me know, cos i'll more than likely have a space in my car.

Can't wait for that one to be confirmed. I'm all excited! - guess i'll just have to contain myself for the next 7 weeks or so. (got Xmas to think about anyway, & LOADS of Uni work!)

& the websites been updated too! There's now T-shirts available! So i'll be wearing a nice new bit of SS clobba when the gig comes round! Nice!

You'll need to go for the Guest tickets (unless you happen to be a Moles member). The listing page says 'Bands TBC' but Silver Sun will definitely be in attendance. The support act's called Countryside.

£26 rooms still available on the Travelodge site. You'll have a gruelling 60 second walk to the venue from the hotel after the gig!

Tickets now on sale for Bristol. Cheapest through www.bristolticketshop.co.uk. Normally at the Louisiana, it's first band at 9, second at 10, and strict 11pm curfew. But against Silver Sun's listing on the website it says (to be precise)...

Bristol ticket arrived today!! Its becoming a reality!! & Bath ticket to be collected on the door!!

Just seen the myspace site, & it says the Bath date is on the 31st of Jan! Is this true does anyone know, or just a mistake?? As everywhere else says the 1st of Feb!!

Woo! I've just bought my ticket for Cardiff. Now I'm proper excited. Three gigs! Wooooooohhh!

AND I've just had the wickedest haircut in the world ever. If I was 16 and wanted a picture of me pouting (with a bit of my arm in it where I'm trying to hold the camera myself and stick my chest out at the same time) to put on my MySpace page, today would be the day to do it. I expect I'll wake up in the morning with it having become inexplicably boring again overnight.

You'll have to photograph it for posterity just in case! And add it to your page of cheese and suchlike, or whatever it was called...

I think Bath is out of the question for me due to it being midweek and not having anywhere to stay. I should be able to make the Cardiff one if my mate is willing to put me up for the night. That said, he went to the last Cardiff gig so I might be able to persuade him again. I guess since I'd be over that side of the country, it'd be silly not to try to make the Bristol one... particularly as I've got an uncle there who might be able to find me a sofa.

Right then. Tickets for myself and my friend are booked, so I shall see you in Cardiff for sure.

Bristol's still an option... even though it transpires that this uncle (well, mum's cousin, but whatever) actually lives quite a way outside the city, certainly too far to get there after the gig.

This sort of thing confirms that I was absolutely right in choosing a London university over the other one that made me an offer. I don't even need to check the diary, I'm free that day... even if I wasn't before, I am now.

...and since I won't have a train to catch from the other side of London, I'll be able to stay and socialise afterwards. Actually, thinking about it, that doesn't really make much sense. I will have to get to the other side of London (i.e. I live in the south-east bit that's almost in Kent) but not at any particular time, so a combination of night buses will get me there quite adequately.

Same for the other gigs, by the way - I'm staying with a mate in Cardiff (it's his birthday weekend so I bought him a ticket to see Silver Sun, naturally) within walking distance of the venue... and I've no idea where this place in Bristol is, but Damian assures me it's close so it's all good. So yeah, I'll actually be able to stop and chat this time.
