Title: Passage
Description: [R] Realism
KatanokiChaos - June 19, 2007 04:00 AM (GMT)
Invite: Open.
Character Sheet: Link it or sig it.
Setting: A modern day high school, but no classes are restricted by grade level. (Bunny, if you join, this stems from the RP between us and Glisten from... Before NaNo, I think.)
Fandom: Allowed.
House Rules: There will be little to no action in this RP, and if there is, there will be no fantasy elements. All characters must be teen aged and enrolled in the high school, or a student's relative (Parent or Sibling). I'll handle teachers.
Description: Run of the mill high school, run of the mill students, each with their own lives to live.
--------------------------------------------------
((Grey and Chaos; Siggy.))
Grey darted through the hallway, walking into the mandatory Creative Writing class. Inside was a few of her friends, along with her older brother, Chaos. She tossed her bag under the table, taking a seat. "English was fail. We aren't doing poetry today, are we?"
"I think we might be starting today, but I'm not sure," Chaos said to her, pulling out the chair. Grey quickly muttered a thanks, taking the seat. Chaos, meanwhile, turned to some of their friends, asking, "Anyone want to come over after school?"
Devking - June 19, 2007 04:24 AM (GMT)
((Finally. A high school role play. Silva sigged. I guess I'm expanding his age a bit older. Imagine same person, just older looking. >.>))
Silva sat at the seat directly next to the window, as usual, and continued to stare out of it. "God. Times have changed." he whispered. So far, classes for him have been excellent, and everything was fine. But it was boring. Always with the boring. Aside from that, he was now participating in a Creative Writing class, with a group of people unfamiliar to him. "Himura Grey Wolf..." he whispered again, just as she entered the classroom. Silva had quite a liking to her -- if only Chaos weren't here... -- but for now, he tried to keep it unknown to everyone else. Sitting upright again, he waited, as class was just about to start, yet glanced over for a second at Grey. "She'd never go out with me..."
KatanokiChaos - June 19, 2007 07:20 PM (GMT)
Chaos looked over at Silva, blinking. "Did he just look over at Grey?" he thought, examining the boy in a less-than-covertly fashion.
((Staring. XD))
Devking - June 19, 2007 07:27 PM (GMT)
"Gah, I think Chaos saw me..." Silva thought, as he began to break down on the inside. "He's definitely going to kill me now...", he continued, as he slouched down into his seat. Luckily, the bell rang, and class started.
"Welcome back to Creative Writing..."
KatanokiChaos - June 19, 2007 10:41 PM (GMT)
Chaos blinked, wondering why Silva had looked at Grey, but he quickly turned towards the board, listening as the teacher began speaking.
"Today, we're getting into groups of six or so, so if you'd go ahead and do that now..." Chaos and Grey quickly stood, before realizing they were sitting next to each other, and sat back down. Another girl approached.
"Hey,
Akane, want to be in our group?" Chaos asked, smiling a little.
"Oh, sure," she responded, taking a seat next to them. They looked around, wondering if anyone else would join.
Devking - June 19, 2007 10:48 PM (GMT)
((I guess I'll join with the long time, unused Amy Akamure, who was actually created for realism role plays.))
Silva stood and waited for the remaining people to gather into groups. He would always wait until every group had been made before he joined one. Looking around, most of the other students had already done so, to his surprise, and there was only one set of people who hadn't -- the one with Grey and Chaos. Walking over to the three gathered, he pushed his hair back, which only made it messier, and asked, "May I join here?"
---------------------
Amy ran down the hallways, ignoring the people staring at her. She was unusually late to her Creative Writing class today, due to the fact that she had fallen asleep during the end of the last period. "Ugh, I'm going to fail these classes someday if I don't stop staying up late at night..." Arriving at the door of the room, he stopped and fixed her skirt, hoping that it were not too messy. As she opened the door, someone called out to her: "Hey, over here!"
Anachronist - June 20, 2007 01:39 AM (GMT)
((I'm gonna use my new character.))
------------------------------------------------------------
Sam sat in the far corner, loathing the words coming from the teacher's mouth. He hated group assignments because you could never count on the other people to pull their weight. He got up, his jacket rustling a bit, and tried to make his way unnoticed to the teacher's desk. Sam could feel the eyes burning into his skull, watching and wondering why the hell he was so weird. He made it to the teacher without shuffling back to his seat from nervousness and asked her if he could be on his own for this assignment.
Devking - June 20, 2007 01:48 AM (GMT)
Amy looked over to see who it was, and it was, no other than Silva. He had called her over to join in one of the groups, which at this point, he was also trying to get into, but she didn't know that. Walking over and trying to push back her nervousness, she accidentally bumped into Sam, knocking him forward a bit. "S-Sorry about that...", she said, as she regained her own balance.
((Yes, Silva shouts at Amy right after he asks the question, so I guess you'd be answering the question when she's bumping into Sam.))
Anachronist - June 20, 2007 03:29 AM (GMT)
EDIT:((Okay, got rid of that part. I guess what will happen, will happen.))
((Ms.Marsh isn't a character, per se, I just made up a teacher name and rolled with it. Oh, and someone finish the sentence at the end because I can't think of a creative assignment.))
--------------------------------------------------------------
Amy, a girl who was in a couple of Sam's classes, bumped into him. She said "S-sorry about that." As she went over to join her friends. Sam just looked down and mumbled "S'alright..." but she had already gone by. Sam always felt a bit enticed by her, for reasons unkown to him. He shrugged iff the butteflies in his stomach and looked back at the teacher, Ms. Marsh. She looked at Sam and said "You know, Sam, you really need to get along with groups and other people. It's not healthy for you to isolate yourself." "I know, " Sam replied "But-" Ms. Marsh put a finger up to silence him and said "No buts, Sam. You are going to learn about teamwork." She stood up, looked at the class for an empty group, and stopped when she saw the group with Amy, Grey, Chaos, Silva, and Akane. "There you go," She said happily, "You can be with them!" Sam paled considerably as Ms. Marsh steered him towards the group. "Hey, is it alright if Sam joins you?" She inquired.
KatanokiChaos - June 20, 2007 06:02 PM (GMT)
((EDIT: Lol, wait! Lemme fix. EDIT 2: Okay, lol, didn't refresh before posting.))
"Sure, he can join," Chaos said, beckoning the three towards chairs. As Chaos looked around at the group, he smiled. Three new people for Grey to make friends with.
"Alright," Ms. Marsh said, checking each group. "You all are going to draw from a paper basket, and there will be a word. Your group will, together, write a 500 word story based on that word."
The class collectively groaned; Chaos' hand shot up. "Yes, Chaos?"
"How are we supposed to do this? Round robin, pre-planned, what?"
"However you like. The purpose is to better communicate with your group and get things done through whatever means necessary." Without further adieu, she passed the basket to the first group, each bunch taking a word and passing it along.
((This is meant to be similar to
this. Whoever posts can grab a word from there if desired.))
Anachronist - June 20, 2007 07:14 PM (GMT)
The basket made its way around the room, and finally stopped with the group Sam was in. He was seated next to Amy, which made his ears fill with blood. The basket was left in front of him, and he reluctantly pulled a slip from it. The teacher smiled at him, and made her way back to her desk to continue whatever she was doing. Sam read the paper to himself. Dark?, he thought, Damn, that's either ironic or fitting. He passed the paper to Chaos, who seemed to be in control of the group.
KatanokiChaos - June 20, 2007 09:00 PM (GMT)
Chaos quickly read the paper, raising an eyebrow. "Dark?" he said, before grinning a little. "Maybe that gives me carte blanche to write some emo smut... Heh..." he thought, before Grey gave him a look. "What?" he said, blinking and making himself as small and innocent looking as possible.
"Don't 'what' me, you smut obsessed nut." She took the paper, and glared. "Sorry, BDSM obsessed nut."
"HEY!" he said, glaring and poking her in the cheek, to which Grey glared and looked away, putting the paper in the center.
"So, peeps... dark. Any ideas for a plot line?"
((We can just say we're 'discussing the idea' or we could actually come up with a random plot if y'all want. XD))
Devking - June 20, 2007 09:07 PM (GMT)
Both Amy and Silva had already taken their seats when the assignment was called for, and now they were ready to work; one more than the other. She looked at the sheet of paper and read off "Dark". "What could you write with that..." she thought out loud. Meanwhile, Silva simply stared at the piece of paper and began to grab out his notepad and pencil.
Anachronist - June 21, 2007 01:52 AM (GMT)
Sam looked at the group; Chaos and Grey palying around, Amy brainstroming out loud, and Silva staring at his notebook. He started spacing out, picking one of his many daydreams he used to occupy the time he spent doing nothing. I think I'll be a-. His thoughts were cut short when the P.A. crackled to life and their principal, Mr. Neck, came on screaming "Code Red! I repeat, Code Red! All teachers, secure the students NOW!!" Suddenly the room was in chaos, kids screaming, laughing, worrying. Ms. Marsh whistled loudy to get the class's attention. All eyes were on her...
----------------------------------------------------
(Some one else finish that. I can't think of something drastic to happen. And yes, a code red could happen. It's not out of the ordinary.)
Devking - June 21, 2007 02:02 AM (GMT)
"Geez. This is quite frustrating." Silva said, while he continued to stare at his notebook. "I wonder what's going on."
----------
As soon as the P.A. sounded around them, Amy was driven out of her fluster of thoughts and ideas and came back to reality. "D-Do they really have to make it that loud?" she asked herself, ignoring the people around her. Although her personality would have one to believe it, she was not panicking at all during this. But before they knew it, Amy had already gone back to thinking about the assignment at hand.
---------
Looking up for one of the first times ever, he noticed that Grey was right across the table from him. Trying to hide a blush, he turned to Amy, who had completely ignored that it was a "Code Red". Jokingly, he hit her to get her back to reality, but he made it too hard, knocking her onto Sam. "Sorry again," she muttered.
Anachronist - June 21, 2007 02:21 AM (GMT)
Sam, unperturbed by the chain events unfolding around him, resumed his spacing out. He once again interupted, but htis time by the touch of soft, gentle skin against his face; by a warm body falling into his. Silva had pushed Amy in an attemp to bring her down to earth, but had miscalculated and sent her directly into Sam. Sam, unaccostumed by anyone touching him, spazzed out and felt to the ground, Amy on top of him. His face felt hot as he quickly pulled himself out from under her, helped her up, and sat back down, starring at his shoes.
KatanokiChaos - June 21, 2007 05:04 AM (GMT)
Grey and Chaos looked over at Sam, then at Amy, then at Sam again, before turning towards each other and grinning.
((XD))
"So... movies tonight, Grey?" Chaos asked, smiling a little. She nodded, drawing out her laptop and her tablet, until she noticed that Amy had still been working. When Amy had settled after her little bump with Sam, Grey intended to tell her that they would probably not be turning in the assignment, with the code red and all.
"What movie?" Grey asked, looking over at Chaos.
"Uh... There's 'Reign Over Me,' and 'Transformers,' and 'Spiderman 3.'"
"Oh," Grey said. "I've seen Transformers and Spiderman, the first one?"
"Okay. Want to invite anyone else?"
"Uh... yeah, that sounds cool." She turned to the rest of the table, quickly saying, "You guys want to go to the movies with us? We'll pay your way and stuff, and I heard Reign Over Me was great." She leaned forward a little. "Ehh?"
"Sure, Akane quickly said, grinning. "Been planning to watch that for forever."
"Great," Grey said. "Anyone else?"
Devking - June 21, 2007 06:19 AM (GMT)
Watching Amy fall onto Sam, and him falling to the floor, Silva couldn't help but grin while watching this. "Those lovebirds," he thought. Looking at Grey, Chaos, and Akane, he began to lean back and cool off. It was basically a break period now that the school was under Code Red. Within his mind, he pondered off at what to do after school, only to be interrupted by the question of "Anyone else?" by none other than Grey. Quickly without thinking, he said, "I'll join." Before he knew it, Silva had accepted an invitation to watch a drama with Grey... and the others, of course.
((I'm going to see what Sam does before I do anything with Amy. Furthermore, I'm going on vacation until July 15th, so that's plenty time for my post count to be caught up to and me to be left behind in role plays. xD But seriously, you guys, leave some RPs for me to join back in. For instance, Revolt. As long as I'm not left behind in that one and Raindrops (is that possible?), I'm fine.))
Anachronist - June 22, 2007 01:36 AM (GMT)
Sam, still embarassed by his colision, turned a bit to look at the group. Grey had offered an invite to all of them. They all seemed to be friends, and most of them had said yes. Amy hadn't said a word since she fell, but Sam waited for her response. He felt a bit foolish, pining over her like an idiot, but he had to come to the realization that time wasn't standing still for him. He had a better shot of meeting someone now than when he was forty, creepy-looking, and a bigger loser. Sam just zoned out and waited until Amy said something.
((I know this kinda means we can't finish this 'till Dev comes back. Sorry, but that's what flowed.))
Devking - June 25, 2007 05:19 AM (GMT)
"Hmm?" Amy came back to reality for a second, then turned back to thinking. "I guess I'll come too then..."
By now, she had noticed that she was blushing, although she couldn't quite grasp why. Even now, she had trailed off into a deep set of thoughts, which blocked her off from the obvious things in front of her. Really, though, did she even listen to what she had accepted to?
((Odd. It seems like most of the role plays going on right now are moving pretty slowly. Maybe it's just me, but some of these posts are getting more and more rigid and broken. Anyways, for the next post, we should get it to skip a bit after school and directly to the movies.))
KatanokiChaos - June 27, 2007 03:39 PM (GMT)
---
Chaos and Grey stood outside the movie theater, waiting for people to show up. They held in their hands all the tickets, popcorn, candy and drinks they would need.
Anachronist - June 28, 2007 10:24 PM (GMT)
Sam rode up to the theater on his dark yellow Vespa scooter. He got it a couple years ago after watching and falling in love with FLCL. He saw Chaos and Grey standing there, and parked a couple blocks away, trying to be inconspicuous. He really wouldn't be here, if it weren't for Amy.
Devking - June 30, 2007 08:06 AM (GMT)
Silva and Amy walked together towards the movie theater, only for the fact that they lived a couple of blocks away. "So you ready for the movie?" Amy asked, adjusting the bow fixed on her hair. She had completely changed her usual line of clothing for this event, hoping to get the attention of "someone special". "Yea, I guess." Silva bluntly replied, continuing along the old road which looked as if it had not been fixed in years--decades in fact.
They moved along the road quickly, hoping to avoid the common small thefts. "You should watch out," Silva continued, "from that boy, I mean." He grinned and moved forward a bit faster, trying to skip the average response from her. Looking ahead, he began to see the theater in view. "Anyways, we're almost there, so look sharp."
KatanokiChaos - June 30, 2007 03:55 PM (GMT)
"Silva! Amy!" Chaos called out, waving them over. "There they are, Grey," he said, but she was looking off in the distance.
"Hey... Yeah, there's Sam. Woot."
"Why didn't he park in the parking lot?" Chaos asked, blinking.
"Dunno..."
Anachronist - June 30, 2007 11:21 PM (GMT)
Sam saw Amy and Silva walking up towards the theater. He jogged up to the fron doors to meet them, wondering if he woulnd't smell or look dishelved after it. He came to the group, a bit out of breath, and said "Hey," before coughing up a storm.
KatanokiChaos - June 30, 2007 11:47 PM (GMT)
"Whoa, whoa," Chaos said, patting Sam on the back without thinking, trying to help. "You okay?"
Anachronist - July 6, 2007 03:05 AM (GMT)
Chaos's slaps actually made Sam lose more of his breath, but he sucked it up and managed to squeak out "Yeah no problem." His ears rushed with blood as he thought about how stupid he must look right now. "So, we going in?"
KatanokiChaos - July 6, 2007 03:34 AM (GMT)
"Yeah, just be careful," Chaos said, starting in. He quickly handed the tickets over, leading them to the right theater.
Devking - July 6, 2007 07:38 AM (GMT)
In the time that Sam arrived and they together walked in, Silva was already busy wandering the theater for food, having sneaked in after meeting everyone else outside. Amy, however, had listened in on the chat between Chaos and Sam, however short it was, but caught only the last few words of it, "be careful". Wondering why something like that would be said, she moved in with the other three, walking awefully close behind Sam, in case something were to happen. Out of nowhere, a figure jumped out next to her, yelling her name.
Amy somehow then accomplished to let out a small yelp and jump onto Sam, nearly knocking him down at this point. It turned out only as Silva, filled with batches of popcorn, soda, and sweets in his hand. "Geez, how girly can you get?" he said, as he looked down towards Amy. "So... I bought all the food..."
From behind the overflowing piles and piles of snacks, he tried to let out a small grin, and to hide his blushing face at the sight of Grey.
Anachronist - July 7, 2007 11:56 AM (GMT)
Sam walked into the theater behind Grey and Chaos. He wondered what Chaos meant by be careful. Did he really come off as being that clumsy and uncoordinated? Before he could lose the thought, he felt a pair of hands on his body and a subsequent amount of weight. Amy had lept onto him after Sivla scared her. Sam held Amy in his arms for a good couple seconds, before they both realized what happened. Sam carefully let Amy down, trying not to drop her and quickly felt his face fill for the second time in less than ten minutes. He looked at the ground to hide his blushing face from Amy, and quickly mutttered "Sorry 'bout that" before scuttling offf a few feet ahead of Amy.
KatanokiChaos - July 15, 2007 11:21 PM (GMT)
Chaos and Grey looked at each other, grinning a little before following. Chaos quickly moved ahead of the others. "That's the theater up there," he pointed, opening the door to an ad for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. "Woot. Can't wait to see the ending in movie form. So close..."
Anachronist - July 16, 2007 04:47 PM (GMT)
((Okay, "opening the door to an ad"? Did they just walk into an ad? And I'm assuming the movie actually is Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows. If not, I'll edit it.))
Sam, face still blood-filled, was actually a bit anxious to see the movie. He'd already read the whole series of books, and was eager to see how they botched up the story in movie form. He was, however, going to refrain from shouting out remarks MST style throughout the flick. "Heh, yeah, can't wait..."
KatanokiChaos - July 23, 2007 02:53 PM (GMT)
"Yeah, it's gonna be awesome," Chaos responded. "If only it were out..." He found a few open seats, quickly getting into one. Grey slipped into the one beside him, watching the ad.
"At least the action'll be okay..."
Devking - July 23, 2007 06:02 PM (GMT)
((I think Deathly Hollows was a pretty bad Harry Potter book. >.>))
Silva and Amy followed after them, one still trying not to do anything clumsy and the other... still trying to walk five steps without almost colliding into someone and completely spilling the drinks and the food. Yup, this was the average thing going on in their lives--following friends and watching movies-- if, only this was average for them. For the one of the first times in a long time, Silva had been somewhere other than his house or the school. As for Amy, all her parents could say was, "As long as she's hanging out with friends..."
Entering the theater, they managed to keep the pace with the other few, Amy stalking behind Sam and Silva barely slipping through the two doors that led inside (assuming that the theater they went to was one of those old ones which still had the two doors). Listening to the abrupt break in the silence made by the reference to Harry Potter's final chapter--both really didn't see what the commotion for it was--the two moved quietly to the seats that Chaos had chosen, Silva taking a long ninja-style leap over to the seat next to Grey, nearly knocking everyone else, who wasn't seated, over, and cutting off Sam from sitting down there.
-----
Trying to sort out who's food and drink was who's, Silva adjusted his seating for the long about-2 hour watch. Amy, who had managed to get the last seat on the row next to Sam, quickly munched away on her popcorn, forgetting about the etiquette of eating. As the lights slowly turned dim, the previews began to play. "I wonder what will happen in this movie," Silva thought.
KatanokiChaos - July 24, 2007 12:15 AM (GMT)
"It'll be cool," Grey said to him, tossing some popcorn into her mouth. "And, it's coming on!" She pointed, the screen going black, before the movie started to roll.
Anachronist - July 24, 2007 12:36 AM (GMT)
Sam sat through the previews, mentally crossing movies of his list and answering trivia questions. He thought it a bit amusing that Amy, who looked a bit prim and proper, was scarfing down handfulls of popcorn. Heh, I guess we all have our faults, he mused. The house lights suddenly dimmed; the screen stating that people should turn off their phones, stop smoking, et cetera. The show was about to begin...
Devking - July 24, 2007 02:24 AM (GMT)
Ignoring the fact that Grey was actually talking to him directly... and that she was eating out of his popcorn bag, which he didn't want to waste until the movie actually started, Silva quite enjoyed that they were all watching a movie, together. Having being one of the first social events he's been on in a long time, the teen just wished that the movie would last long enough for him to savor. Right about that time, the opening credits (the bunch of companies which show their names before the movie actually starts) rolled by. But to his bad luck, the screen began to falter and flicker, finally coming to a point where it went blank completely. A voice yelled over the crowd and the lights began to light up again. "That's luck for you." he whispered.
((I just killed most of the story with a ridiculous twist which is pretty useless in regard to storyline. Sorry if your guys' future post possibilities have just been destroyed. At least someone next make up a crazy scheme for what they do instead of a movie.))
Anachronist - July 24, 2007 04:57 AM (GMT)
((You wants a crazy scheme? I gots a crazy scheme.))
Sam couldn't believe it; actually, he could. He was used to things getting screwed up, but this was a rare opportunity for him to get to know people better. He couldn't just give up. The others were starting to leave, comtemplating coming back when the projectors work, when Sam blurted out "How about the Speedway?" Blood had once again decided to travel to his cranial region as he tried to make it work. "You know, th-the Speedway with th-the go-karts, ATV's, and motorbikes?" He stuttered out. It was the first thing that hit him, and he prayed it wouldn't get shot down.
KatanokiChaos - July 27, 2007 09:36 PM (GMT)
"Hey, that sounds awesome!" Chaos responded, looking around at the others. Grey nodded her head, checking her pockets. "I have enough to pay our way in."
Anachronist - August 2, 2007 05:53 AM (GMT)
"C-cool. Then we'll all m-meet over there?" Sam asked. He couldn't believe it! One of his stupid ideas actually worked! He silently thanked every diety he could think of and grabbed his helmet. "See you guys there." he called back as he headed for his scooter.
