Description: The year is 2034. Ever since Europe had fallen to the hands of the U.S.S.R., things spiraled into a continuum of chaos. With the contracting of a greater nation, Brittania, in the year 2010, it had seemed that no one was safe from the new governmental system which comprised in Europe through Russia, and parts of Asia.

Time passed. Brittania has spread all throughout the world, except for parts of the United States. People who did not agree with the system were sent to America, which was now referred to as "The 24th Project". Those who continued with life as an honorary Brittanian lived in peace and royalty.

--------------------

It was not the best of places, yet not the worst of places. Buildings were still standing and people were still living. Peace and freedom continued as always. He walked along the streets of the once royal city, which now looked nothing at all but a ghetto. His clothing stood out, for it was not as torn and dirtied as everyone else's. But there was a reason for this. Though society was left destroyed and the market was greatly damaged, life was basically the same. Brittannia had been kind enough to continue the supporting of life within "The 24th Project". But as life was the same, so were the corporations that society consisted of and ran on. People were beginning to find that it would not be long before Brittania would invade or attack. Drake turned to the left, where a clock was showing within a store. 12:34. It was just past noon. He was late for the meeting, yet again.

-----

The royal building stood in front of him, as grand as it was years ago. Although the surrounding area had been badly damaged and destroyed, the dome-shaped stadium still stood tall as ever. Here was the main base for the rebellion, along with where Drake lived. Room and board was still available outside the structure, but he liked it in there better, for everything was furnished very well. Better late than never..., he thought, as he opened a small door to the side of the building. Inside, a long hallway surrounded with doors leading to other hallways. Those, in turn, would lead to even more hallways, and sometimes, actually led to rooms. Because of the immense size and strange shape of the stadium, one could be lost in here for months on end. Drake walked to the second door on the right and opened it. There was yet another hallway, although it only led to a single door. He walked through and pushed the other door open, finally arriving at the main room where he was supposed to have been at an hour ago.

KatanokiChaos - June 3, 2007 09:58 PM (GMT)
Grey looked over at him from a chair, just one of the multitude of attendees. "Late again..." she thought, rolling her eyes. She leaned back in her chair, impatiently waiting for Drake to take his seat, and for the meeting to resume.

Devking - June 4, 2007 01:48 AM (GMT)
((This thread might die quickly. Start at the end of the meeting with your next post.))

As Drake walked past Grey, he managed a small smirk, turned away, and continued walking; he had remembered her from the past meetings. There was no time to talk to her just yet, so he moved over to his seat, pulled it out, and managed into it. Afterwards, he would make time to ask what had happened while he was gone. For now, the meeting resumed, and Drake listened on.

KatanokiChaos - June 4, 2007 06:32 PM (GMT)
---

Grey stood, pushing in her chair. The meeting had been lengthy; she'd taken pages of notes about it. She looked towards Drake, suppressing a glare. He'd probably want a recount and her notes. Great. "Drake," she said, sighing as she walked towards him. "Why were you late again?"

Devking - June 5, 2007 02:33 AM (GMT)
Drake re-adjusted himself and replied, "It doesn't matter to you, now does it?" He stood up and pushed in his chair, a little while before he asked in continuance, "So why is it that you always seem to take notes at these things?" He looked down at the bundle of notes in her arms and then looked back up. This was the same old routine that he had went through the last few times he was late.

KatanokiChaos - June 15, 2007 06:38 PM (GMT)
"Because you're always late," she sighed, handing him the notes. "Make sure to return them..." She walked through the hallways, heading towards the snack bar. "Must... get... food..." She stopped, looking up at the menus. "Want anything, Drake?"

Devking - June 16, 2007 03:43 PM (GMT)
He scuffled with the notes, and continued on to follow Grey out of the room. He always had an odd feeling traveling through the hallways, with their blankness and similarity. Drake feel into a deep train of thought and almost ignored her question, but then stuttered back a "Sure." They were at the snack bar, yet again, for it seemed that Grey would always be hungry after the meetings. Maybe she skipped lunch or something just to get there early... Looking up at the menu, he coughed, "Just get me anything..."

Anachronist - June 18, 2007 01:06 AM (GMT)
Ginger, clad in a uniformed polo shirt and khaki pants, turned towards Grey. She really disliked her jobs, for they all seemed to entail taking orders from people. Waitress, cashier, et cetera, all following orders like a good little girl. She snapped out of her funk, plastered a smile on her face, and said to Grey "How can I help you?"

KatanokiChaos - June 19, 2007 02:24 AM (GMT)
"Oh, uh... two slices of cheese pizza, please," Grey said, checking her wallet. She had more than enough, but it was a nervous habit to make sure every few minutes. She turned back to Drake, asking, "Now what?"

Devking - June 19, 2007 02:29 AM (GMT)
Drake smiled for a second. "Now what?" That was sure amusing. He took out an ample amount of currency, walked over to the cashier, and put it before her. "I think I'll pay for it this time...", but of course, he did this every time he was late for a meeting. Collecting the two slices that had just come out, he handed Grey one.

KatanokiChaos - June 19, 2007 02:44 AM (GMT)
Grey took the pizza, smiling a little. "Thanks," she said, putting her wallet in her back pocket, and pulling out her DS. "So, Pokemon Onyx?" she asked, putting in the cartridge. She grinned at the opening scenes, muttering something about an AO rating and an actual storyline being the best thing that ever happened to Pokemon. "Besides, of course, the kick ass cut scenes," she mused.

((XD Pokemon is <3.))

Devking - June 19, 2007 03:13 AM (GMT)
((I know. xD))

"Sorry, I don't really play games in my spare time..." Drake continued to stand and took a bite out of his pizza. He wasn't really into small things, but decided to be nice about it around Grey. Naturally, he would oppose of such wasteful products, yet cared about what he said when around her. It was an odd feeling. "So," he started, "what's new?"

KatanokiChaos - June 19, 2007 04:29 AM (GMT)
"Uh..." Grey thought quickly as she put the DS away, quickly stating, "I got my novel published! Not many buyers yet, but they're getting there... I hope..." She looked around nervously, signs of the lack of self-confidence seeping through.

Devking - June 19, 2007 04:49 AM (GMT)
Drake let out somewhat of a smile, but pushed it back, as he began to speak. "Don't worry too much about it." His voice was as calm as ever, and it easily overcame the weakness in Grey's voice. Although he noticed it, he didn't much care -- somehow, he didn't care for the differences between himself and Grey, which he would care if it were anybody else -- and continued on. "Wanna go back to my room after this?" Drake said, as he finished his slice of pizza.

KatanokiChaos - June 19, 2007 06:50 PM (GMT)
"Yeah, sure," she responded, smiling up at him. She took another bite of pizza, starting to walk in the direction of Drake's room. "So... uh... Halo?" she asked, finishing and tossing the pizza in a trash can.

Devking - June 19, 2007 06:59 PM (GMT)
"Didn't I already say I don't play games?" Drake replied, jokingly. He smiled back for a second, and continued walking. "But if you really want to." Coming to a halt at another one of the many doors that filled the hallway, he pulled out a set of keys and unlocked the door. "Is this the first time you've been in my room?"--Drake lightly pushed the door open--"I don't seem to remember."

((If I just made your next post too short, I'll say this: Drake's room is dark right now, as to the point that you can't see anything.))

KatanokiChaos - June 19, 2007 07:07 PM (GMT)
"Uh..." she blinked, looking in. "I think so- ACK!" Grey suddenly fell down, having tripped over something. "Oro..." she muttered, slowly sitting up and rubbing her head. "Yeah, first time here..."

Devking - June 19, 2007 07:14 PM (GMT)
Drake flipped the lights on. "You should be careful of where you walk..." With his right foot, he kicked the set of swords on the ground out of the way, and held his hand out for Grey. "To think someone could trip in here!"

((He says that because, all there is in his room is a bundle of swords, a small bed (no covers or anything), and a closet. Inside the closet is where he keeps the small things that he has no more time for.))

((OMG, is that a guitar?))

KatanokiChaos - June 19, 2007 07:19 PM (GMT)
Grey mock whimpered, rolling her eyes. "I'm such a klutz, I'm sorry," she said as she took his hand, standing. "So... uh... nice room," she said, adding a small "Heh," and smiling.

Devking - June 19, 2007 11:00 PM (GMT)
After helping her get up, Drake closed the door and walked over to his bed and took off his outer layer of clothing, which left him with a T-shirt and the same old pair of pants. "So what were you saying about Halo?" he spoke, as he sat and faced her.

KatanokiChaos - June 20, 2007 06:16 PM (GMT)
"Uh... do you want to play?" Grey asked, looking around for any signs of an Xbox. "I can bring my console over and own you," she said, grinning. "Cause I, well, own."

Devking - June 20, 2007 06:26 PM (GMT)
"Really... Is there nothing else you do?" he whispered, followed by a yawn. Drake stood back up and headed for the closet this time, ignoring the fact that Grey was still there. "Alright," he paused, "whatever you see in here you don't touch,"--he began to open the closet door--"nor talk about it." With that, he slid the door to the side, and revealed a closet full of objects, from video games to swords and whatnot.

"So what is it you wanted to play on?", he asked, turning back to Grey.

KatanokiChaos - June 20, 2007 08:48 PM (GMT)
"Yeah, I got it," Grey said, nodding. "My lips are sealed." She watched as he opened the door, and when he said his second question, she responded, "Uh, the Xbox. Halo 2, plox... I can hook it up to your tv."

Devking - June 20, 2007 08:57 PM (GMT)
"So plain," Drake mumbled as he grabbed the Xbox and a Halo 2 box out of the closet.

He kept the closet open, though, for the TV was already inside of it. "I hope 30 inches is enough for you..." At this day and age, the normal gamer would already consider it to be a small screen, but hopefully Grey could settle with it. Drake hadn't really played games or any of that sort at all, so he didn't much update his material. "And I got the wires connected already," he said, as he threw a controller at Grey and walked back to his bed.

KatanokiChaos - June 20, 2007 09:03 PM (GMT)
"Yeah, this is fine," she said, starting up the Xbox. The loading screen showed, and she grinned, preparing to fight Drake.

((Bleh, wanna skip?))

Devking - June 20, 2007 09:12 PM (GMT)
((I was expecting you to skip to the end of the game in your post, but I guess I'll do that here. BTW, can I have Drake win? xD))

As the game concluded--it was a Slayer match set to Swords only--Drake still retained the same look he had as always. Most likely from boredom or the fact that he was just expecting these things. Somehow, he had won the game by nearly only a point or two. "Lucky for me..." he thought. Putting down the controller next to him, he looked over to Grey and asked, "Anything else you'd like to do?"

KatanokiChaos - June 21, 2007 01:19 AM (GMT)
"Dunno... I was thinking of airsofting, though. If you want. We can grab my guns and ammo and stuff, I've got it all ready." She sat down on his bed, shutting the TV off by remote. "That is, if you want."

Devking - June 21, 2007 01:27 AM (GMT)
"Alright. Something a little bit more active," Drake said, lying back onto his bed, "but one thing; I won't go easy on you."

----------

Drake finished putting his console and game back into his closet, and had left the room, along with Grey. Once outside, he began for her room, where he expected the equipment to be. "So how did we get to spending time together?" he asked her.

((I felt like skipping a few posts just because it's going pretty slow right now. In your next post, assume that he successfully goes with her to the airsofting challenge; unless a plot twist comes up.))

Anachronist - June 21, 2007 02:09 AM (GMT)
Ginger's shift felt like it would last forever. The frycook in the back kept giving her creepy look as she leaned against the counter in boredom. Those two who had come by looked like they were going to do something fun; play some games, tell some jokes.

She was so bored!

As soon as work was over, she left in a hurry, eager to get away and go back to sleep. She was too spaced out to notice the open door in front of her. Ginger and the door collided, resulting in Ginger flying backward onto her rear end.

((Edited it, because you guys didn't want Ginger to be unconscious.))

Devking - June 21, 2007 02:12 AM (GMT)
"Sorry about that," Drake said, holding the open door from further movement, "I guess I'd better be more careful with closing doors from now on." The last part he said jokingly, but still, he held his hand out for her. "This is vaguely familiar..." he whispered off.

KatanokiChaos - June 21, 2007 05:08 AM (GMT)
((LOL, love. <3 ))

Grey carried out a duffel bag, within which was what could only be guessed as a small armory of airsoft guns. "What's going on? Is your friend coming with us, Drake?" She turned towards Ginger, saying, "Hi," and putting on a big smile.

((^^))

Anachronist - June 22, 2007 02:02 AM (GMT)
"Oh, h-hi!" Ginger stammered. Why did these guys look familiar? It took a second before her memory kicked in. These were the guys who were in the food court earlier, and practically the only ones. She accepted Drake's hand, getting a strong sense of deja vu, and stood up, a bit flustered. "Sorry about that, I should really watch where I'm going."

Devking - June 25, 2007 05:14 AM (GMT)
"Hmm? Friend?"

Drake looked at the person in front of him and then back at Grey. He couldn't decide if she was meaning it or simply was joking. Pulling the other girl up, he replied and continued on.

"No problem--"he really didn't know what to say--"you wanna come?"

((>.> I can't seem to post well when I'm tired.))

Anachronist - June 28, 2007 10:26 PM (GMT)
"Um, I, uh, where are you going?" Ginger asked a bit quizically.
((Sorry it's short, I on't have a lot of time here.))

KatanokiChaos - June 30, 2007 12:09 AM (GMT)
"We're going airsofting! It's only the best sport ever, even though we're lacking people... Unless you come!" Grey smiled, before adding, "I've got some great extras left..."

Anachronist - June 30, 2007 11:24 PM (GMT)
Ginger smiled broadly at the thought of doing something new. "Sure! Um, you'll have to show me how to play, though."

KatanokiChaos - June 30, 2007 11:52 PM (GMT)
"It's fairly simple," Grey said as they marched out the doors. She pulled out the gun Ginger would be using, unloading the clip and setting it to safety. "This is the safety button. Turn on, turn off. Safety on, gun won't fire. Safety off, don't point it at something you don't want to shoot. I've learned that the hard way." She sighed, remembering. "This is an AEG. That stands for Automatic Electric Gun. Normally, you'd worry about battery power, but I've already charged it. Also, this," she pulled out a speed loader. "Is a speed loader. You simply click the button to open it, and then press the button as fast as you can while holding it against the magazine. Then, to load the magazine, push it in like this. To unload it, press this button and pull it out. To fire... press the trigger." She took a breath, before adding, "No rules, just try to shoot your opponent. Climb in trees, stay within barriers... just that. Now..." she paused once more, before asking, "Any questions?"

((Remember that if we go airsofting ever. XD))

Devking - July 1, 2007 01:35 AM (GMT)
After helping Ginger up, Drake moved over to Grey, quickly pulling out an AEG from her bag. He listened in on her blab about how to airsoft. There was really nothing to it, though he couldn't quite use ranged weapons at all. As she completed her speech, Drake blurted out, "Just one:" he paused "Are you guys ready yet?"

KatanokiChaos - July 3, 2007 01:19 AM (GMT)
"Definitely," Grey said, smirking. "You're both going down against my uber skillz." She made her way out into the courtyard, the sun casting down on the three of them. "Woot."

Anachronist - July 16, 2007 05:03 PM (GMT)
((I'm going to foward a bit into about halfway through the game, if that's okay. If not, then Lainey can jsut delete this post.))

Ginger ran behind a tree, panitng for breath. Now this was exciting! Drake had shot her twice in the rear end, but Ginger managed to get him in the gut. Grey had shot her in the chest ("Ouch!") and she had to take shelterr behind a large slab of cement. Seeing as it was her first time, she couldn't be expected to be protect and shoot like an expert. Now, hiding behind a tree, sore in several places, she felt more exhilerated than she could remember. "Come out, come out where ever you are..." she whispered. Suddenly, the leaves above her rustled....
