Melk walked down the street. He heels clicking, her head bobbing to the blaring music coming from her headphones. Her black curls sweeped up behind her as a city-street wind picked up from the front. She rolled her eyes towards a small, but nice, lighted sign. It said, "Soup of Desire, Risk It?" She, of course, had to check it out. For her look, you wouldn't know she liked these places all that much.
When she walked in, there were about 50 people tops in the club. Ah, I ain't got nothing else to do. She sat down at the bar and looked down it. "Hey, you serve anything good here?" He came up to her, a smile on his face. "What does a person like...you drink?" She smiled wickedly, making him think of anything but, "Water."

Sitting a short ways down the bar is a pale-white young man drinking, yes, a chocolate liquor. He's grinning at a barmaid and chatting, and snatches of the conversation can be heard through gaps in the crowd. the oddness of his voice makes it stand out all the more.
"...and that's when I said, don't presume to understand my ways..."
Tonight, he's dressed in voluminously baggy black jeans that contrast sharply to the skin-tight black T-shirt he's wearing overtop. The words "Don't you?" are printed on the front int clear white lettering-- what the question refers to isn't clear. His skin is papery pale as always, his form gauntly thin. His hair, bleached as white as his skin, is slicked back from his face but allowed to feather out in the back. his white, white eyes are rimmed with dark eye-makeup.

As Melk got another water, she saw the guy she'd seen a few nights ago. Didn't he say to call him Az? Hope I remembered correctly. Melk got out of her seat, water in hand. Her long, black, skirt skidding across the floor. Her shirt appeared to be torn, and of course wasn't. She looked at him again, the same way she had the first time they'd met. "If my mind suits me, you're...Az?" She sat down beside him, quite profound on her part.

"...-tal and you couldn't possibly--" he stops as Melk comes up to them and, with a shrug to the waitress, turns and gives Melk his full attention... not to mention a wide white smile.
"That's right, Az. You're..." the pause invites her to insert her own name.

"Melk." She finished. Her eyes were wide, staring at his smile. There was something...something about that smile that somehow appealed to her. "We met a few days ago, at a different club." Her eyes were almost as dark as her hair, the light shining on her from the behind. She closed her eyes, opened them slowly, and took another drink of her water.
((I gotta go now, I'll post as soon as I can, though. I'm actually getting tired. It's 10:54 here right now.))

"I remember," he says. "You left."
He takes a sip from his small shot glass, allowing his cold white eyes to roam freely over Melk. He seems almost analytical as opposed to provocative, but it's hard to tell.
((That's okay, it's the same time, here.))

Melk just kept her smile/smirk on her face. She didn't know what he was thinking about her, and she didn't like it. "Yeah, sorry about that," she said, eyeing him back. She always just eyed people, so her's was little ore normal looking, and she never batted an eye if she was staring. She took another drink of water, trying to shake the spook of his eyes. It didn't work.

His lips curl into a smile and he stops inspecting her.
"Oh," he says, "It's not a problem, Melk."

"Really? I'm happy that you're so amused with me," she said sarcastically. "I've really been pondering something. Your eyes. It's a little strange, you know. I've seen eyes that can give the coldest stares, make you want to jump right into them, or anything else. But, I know nothing of you, having not being able to read your eyes. They're just...blank." She looked at him, still pondering over his eyes. And the smile that she got out of him sometimes.

The eyes in question turn to rest on her's. His expression is, indeed, amused. The eyes are, indeed... blank.
"How poetic," he says, interested that she chose to comment on his eyes rather than his voice.
"Have you considered that I might be wearing contacts?" Might be.

"Something makes me doubt it," she said. Her eyes, blood-red by her contacts, were filled with thought. She licked water off of her lips and smiled/smirked again. "So...you gonna lie to me? Why do have to do that?" She switched her left leg so that it was falling on her right. "I don't like being lied to, you know. Or, having to chase someone for answers." she took yet another drink of her water and finished it. "I've got no tolerance for that at all."

"I never lied, darling. I asked if you had considered it." He leans an elbow on the counter and cups a hand around his cheek, watching her.
"Something makes you doubt it... what?"
Non-Life - January 16, 2004 12:28 AM (GMT)
"What makes me doubt it...is the way you say it," she told him, "I wear them, but I Just say it out-right. You though, say you tell no lies, so you ask a question. It's a cheat to your own rule." She smiled a little, and asked for another water, her favorite drink.
