Title: Bored
Description: Bored and Grace don't mix very well...

Lady Delirium - December 19, 2003 07:38 PM (GMT)
Her fingers were numb and it was freezing outside, she needed to find a place to go before she died of coldness, which she of course wasn’t going to do, it just seemed like something to think, but she was growing bored, and she may have died from that. Well, no, she wouldn’t, but she would be rather unpleasant for a time until she found something to do. Which, luckily, for her at least, she was just about to find.

’Dark’, she had heard the name mumbled between random Initiates, a place for them to gather. That was rather intriguing sounding. She wasn’t sure why, but she found it amusing, that a good portion of the people who knew about what really stalked the streets at night, and sometimes in broad daylight, gathered at this crowded bar. Well, the bar was about to become just a LITTLE more crowded.

The bar was aptly named, you think they could at least have added some more color or something, probably people who thought they were being cool for not having any color. Well, maybe, Grace was just trying to think of an idea why, this place reminded her of Az. That was kind of odd, a place reminding some one of a god….

She was growing bored already, nothing was happening, it wasn’t like the Warehouse where everything was throbbing with life. This place seemed to pulse depression and non-life, well maybe because some of the patrons, were in fact, dead. Slow blinking and a jump up onto the bar, a slight tilt of the head and a scream…

’BOW BEFORE ME!!!!!!!!” She had no idea what the point of it was, she just needed something to scream. Sitting down, still on the bar, she watched the people with mild interest.

Somewhere to her left, someone gives a genteel cough.

Perhaps in response to the darkness of the colours in the club, this one is dressed brightly. His jeans are light-blue things that fight tight against his spidery limbs. The jeans are worns and every inch seems to be covered in pen drawings or writing-- phone numbers, bit of prose, the occasional poem, a few sketches here and there. The shoes underneath are red with white laces.

His shirt is orange, long-sleeved and also tightly fitting. A bright blue frowning face glares out from the front of the shirt. Over this he wears a green swede jacket lined with fluffy, fake, off-white fur. His skin is oddly pale against all the colour. His hair has been bleached white and gelled up in loose spikes. His eyes are white, as well.

It's Azrael, in 'living colour.'

He's raising an eyebrow at Grace, just slightly.

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 12:43 AM (GMT)
A wave, she’s what, a few feet away from him? And a wave, yes, she has to wave, it’s fun, and you gotta wave until they wave back, it’s almost a game really, you wave and you keep waving ‘till they wave back, and if they don’t, you keep waving and start glaring, and it’s pointless and time consuming, and even a hint tiring, but it’s fun.

He’s bright, it’s funny, he’s the dark one usually, the one wearing usually nothing but black, but she can’t be the one to complain, she’s wearing her own fair share of bright clothing, decked out in knee- high stockings, one orange striped and another one of pink, she never did pride her self much on matching. And to top it off, a fishnet shirt and plaid skirt. Yes, she was rather bright today.

So Az was here, huh? Well maybe he didn’t have to bow before her. She tilted her head to the side to stare at him, mimicking his eyebrow-raise by brining up her pierced one. Still waving, she was still waving waiting for him to finally wave back, and yes, the patented tongue sticking out.

||| - December 20, 2003 12:46 AM (GMT)
A wave of his almost-skeletal hand-- not nearly so frantic a wave as the one it's replying to.

Hopefully thyat'll stop the spastic movement on grace's part.

"Have you been accompanying Di too much?" he asks, a touch sarcastically but not in an altogether unfriendly tone.

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 12:59 AM (GMT)
He waved, the game is over, Done. He won, she lost. She’ll get him next time. Letting her arm drop to her side she continued to watch him.

”Ah, yes the ‘Radioactive Hobo’ it was quite obvious she was quoting someone else with the nickname. “Yeah, I bit, I guess, well, not really, but there was that one time in the alley…” she let herself drift off and she crossed her legs, still staring at the people of Dark, they still looked, dead, it was a pity really. She had grown bored since the game finished.

||| - December 20, 2003 01:02 AM (GMT)
The dreamgod indicates the empty seat beside him, obviously inviting her to take a seat there.

"And how have you been, love?" Possibly that 'love' was a term of endearment or a nickname for the deity thereof.

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 01:17 AM (GMT)
Her eyes follow his hand, yes! Maybe he was starting up the game again! She could get her response. Nope, just showing her an empty seat. Slowly sighing, she slid from the bar into the seat; she liked the bar, she felt taller then everyone else, she wasn’t sure why it was important, but it felt like it was.

”I’ve been good, how have you been Azzy?” Yes, one annoying nickname and counting.

||| - December 20, 2003 01:22 AM (GMT)
"Just fine, no doubt, Love." Yes, it's probably a name for her.

He picks a bit of fluff off of his sleeve with cold, sharp fingers and flicks it into the air, unconcerned, then turns to give the new goddess a bit of grin.

"Getting on well with your new station in life?"

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 01:49 AM (GMT)
”Fine I guess, it is fun and all, but things get kinda boring easily…” Stretching her arm, to have something to do, she watched as the fluff flittered through the air going past the different people. Her eye twitched, she lost sight of it. That was too bad.

”Yeah, umm, yep..” she had no clue what to say.

||| - December 20, 2003 01:53 AM (GMT)
"One thing you'll learn as the centuries pass..."

Azrael reaches out and pullsthe bit of fluff through the air and back into his fingers.

"...we spend a lot of our time trying to cure boredom."

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 02:10 AM (GMT)
She smiled at him, before looking out at the people on the dance floor. One turned to her and she smiled, jerking her head ever so slightly in the direction of another person. She let her gaze go back to Az. She knew what was going to happen to the two, they would fall into mad love, and then a harsh break up would follow. Sometimes they needed to taste the bitter to remember the sweet.

”Well, that sounds fun,” she never knew what to say around Az, he was more intimidating then the other gods she had met.

||| - December 20, 2003 02:20 AM (GMT)
Azrael shrugs, the green jacket rising and falling over his bony fingers.

His expression is pensive, and for once, it doesn't seem to be put on.

"It all depends on what you do to pass the time."

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 02:27 AM (GMT)
”Oh, do you wanna do something to pass the time with me?”

She inwardly cringed hopping it didn’t sound wrong, Az made her nervous sometimes. She smiled at him again,

”Apparently playing with winged-boys is quite fun, you know, before they start getting offend for making them gay,” she shrugged, the counter looked appealing again, but she stayed in her seat.

”Or any person really…”

||| - December 20, 2003 02:32 AM (GMT)
A half-smile of that particular type that isn't half a smile but is, instead, a smile with half the mouth.

"Permanently gay? Because that could be interesting to watch."

One long, white finger creeps out to run down the edge of the glass in front of him, drawing a line through the condensation.

"We make our own fun."

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 02:58 AM (GMT)
A small grin, remembering the night, it had been fun, well before Matti smashed in Dio's nose.

"Nah, only temporarily, I got him to make out with Di though... Then he started whining, it was kind of pathetic so I just reversed it." Own fun, that’s what she’d been doing, but ti still sounded very intriguing.

||| - December 20, 2003 03:01 AM (GMT)
"You could try turning gay guys straight," Azrael suggests idly, rubbing the wetness from the glass between his thumb and finger.

"Like, rainbow-wearing big-time-pride guys."

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 03:15 AM (GMT)
She smirked, it did sound kinda fun....

"Lust after other guys or actual love?" She smiled., her eyes watching him with a bit of amusement. Whatever way it was, there would be a lot of more participants in the next parade.

||| - December 20, 2003 03:17 AM (GMT)
"How about a bit of both?" He opens his hand and blows a bit of snow from between his fingers. Presumably this came from the condensation he's wiped off his glass.

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 03:33 AM (GMT)
She was grinning now, this sounded very, very, VERY, fun.

”How do we choose the people?” She watched as he blew the snow from his hand, I briefly reminding her of Bobby Drake of the old X-men comics she had become addicted to in her teens.

||| - December 20, 2003 03:37 AM (GMT)
"Anyhow. Someone who bumps into you in the street. Someone you see out the window. Someone whose mind brushes you in a bar."

He dusts off his hands and turns to Grace, his expression centering around the cold, mischevious smile. Familiar but inhuman.

And he shrugs.

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 03:56 AM (GMT)
His smile seems, odd, almost not real, but she brushes it off.

"And if they're already gay? Do I turn them... gay-er? Or do I make them want more girl's then they have ever dreamt off?" She brushes a strand of hair behind her ear, grinning as 'Bohemian Rhapsody' blasted through the speaker system.

||| - December 20, 2003 04:00 AM (GMT)
"Oh, use your own discretion. Unless you're providing entertainment for everyone?"

He drums his fingers on the table in tune with the music.

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 04:31 AM (GMT)
She chewed on her lower lip, staring at the glass in front of her. So, just herself, or should she include the rest of the gods?

”Entertainment for all sounds just grand,” cupping her hands she breathed into them and opened them fully. A few small rainbow butterflies rose up into the flittering about.

”If this works right, they will soon find ‘hosts’, if you will, and then I’ll track them all down later and given them attraction to the same sex.”

||| - December 20, 2003 04:33 AM (GMT)
"Or the opposite," azrael points out, with a smile.

"This... could be interesting."

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 04:53 AM (GMT)
She nodded in agreement.

"Or the opposite." Some of the butterflies were already landing on peopele, who didn't seem to know they even existed.

"What else should we do?"

||| - December 20, 2003 04:55 AM (GMT)
Azrael shrugs, grabbing his drink and tossing the entire thing back like someone might drink a glass of milk. This is a bit sudden after so long of playing with the drink but not even taking a sip.

"I have no idea. How about we curse someone?"

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 04:58 AM (GMT)
She watched as he downed all of his drink.

"Curse some one?" she raised her eyebrow, she sounded intriqued.

"What type of course?"

||| - December 20, 2003 05:00 AM (GMT)
"Something that would really freak them out." succinct.

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 05:11 AM (GMT)
A small nod.

"Liiiiike?" it may have been to the point, but not direct enough.

||| - December 20, 2003 05:30 PM (GMT)
Azrael shrugs, lacing his fingers together and stretching out his arms. his knuckles crack.

"We could turn them into Spiderman."

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 05:42 PM (GMT)
”Spiderman?” Sounds intresting, “Why just Spiderman? Why not turn a whole group into the X-Men and the Brotherhood? Or maybe into the Fantastic Four? Things always seem to be better in groups….” She smiled sheepishly, her slight obsession with comic books shinning through in the oddest moments.

”Or make some a very, very, VERY odd Lycanthrope?”

||| - December 20, 2003 07:59 PM (GMT)
"What, like.... a cow lycanthrope? A giraffe? A platypus? A moose?"

He shakes his fingers out and leans an elbow on the bar.

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 08:07 PM (GMT)
She grinned, cows were great.

”Yeah, something totally random and an animal NO ONE would want to be, or just really weird. Like I dunno, a worm? The platypus and moose sound great, so does the cow, I think a giraffe would be HILLARIOUS to see, maybe it should be like a college student or something, so in the dorm they can turn into a giraffe, yes, that would be wondrous! And maybe a hippo would be good too…”

||| - December 20, 2003 08:11 PM (GMT)
"College student? how about a sloth, then?"

As he says this, he turns just a bit towards the bartender and waves a finger at her, indicating that she should mix him another drink.

Lady Delirium - December 20, 2003 10:55 PM (GMT)
"If a sloth got rabies would it start moving fast enough to get all the moss growing on it to fall off? What would it be like if a snail got rabies? Or, maybe a duck?"

Hmm, rabies, sounded like babies, babies are silly, and going to take over the world...

"Maybe we should start giving animals random forms of rabies, but make it a non-killing one so we don't end up with a plague or something like '28 days later.'"

||| - December 21, 2003 12:20 AM (GMT)
Azrael shrugs.

"We don't?"

After a moment, he shakes his head. "Nah, nah, we don't. No. How about..."

He drifts off, pondering.

Lady Delirium - December 21, 2003 12:36 AM (GMT)
She nods slowly. Completely and utterly confused by his comment, but hiding it, or attempting to hide it, behind a mask of deep thought.

||| - December 21, 2003 12:43 AM (GMT)
The older god doesn't seem to notice, lost in though.

After a moment, he seems to snap out of it, his customary grin returning. He sends a shrug at Grace.

"We have a lot of time to consider it."

Lady Delirium - December 21, 2003 01:32 AM (GMT)
A smile tugs at the edges of her lips.

"Yes, we do have quite a bit of time to consider, does that mean we should get some more people in on it? It could be more amusing...."

||| - December 21, 2003 01:55 AM (GMT)
"People?" Az pauses, then nods. "Gods, you mean? Sure. Everyone's ready for some entertainment."
