Ally had warned him not to go and yet the stubborn boy had gone anyways. She was quite put out with him at that moment. The girl was lying on her stomach across her bed and petting Casey while she wondered what was going to happen to him. She’d heard Gregory leave which she could only assume that he found out somehow that Blade was missing. He was going to be in so much trouble and it made her stomach form a knot in worry. But what could she do about it? She told him so.

After a while though she got up, put Casey in her kennel and then headed out her room. At the end of the hallway she sat down on the floor and leaned her back against the wall, brining her knees up to her chest and crossing arms around them. Now she would see right when Greg or Blade got home. Tina had left some time ago which was a relief to her. She didn’t like the woman for some reason. So she sat there in silence, most of the lights in the house were out at this point.

They came home together, Greg carrying the boy, who he would decide how to punish later. "He has suffered an attack. I need you to tend to him." Greg said simply as he carried the boy into the guest room, which really was Blade's room, but the boy seemed reluctant to settle in. Can we blame him at all really.

Greg laid the boy on the bed gently, surprisingly gentle in fact. He was glad Tina wasn't here himself. There were things she didn't need to know about the children. He really did need to discuss that with the children soon.

Blade was out of it the entire ride home. He could, however, feel someone carrying him a couple of times. Being carried into the house was no different. He could feel himself moving but was unable to respond. A painful groan escaped from him just before he was set gently on the bed.

She got up as soon as she saw Blade being carried in. What had he got himself into? An attack? What kind of an attack? She followed obediently behind Greg who took Blade to his bedroom and then laid him down on the bed. Ally walked over to the other side of the bed and sat down next to Blade and proceeded to heal him as she usually did. Something had wiped him out and took a considerable amount of extra time to give back what was taken from him.

Finally she healed him though and she pulled away from him. Her breathing was a bit heavier but no other outwardly signs were present from taking so long to heal the boy.

”What happened to him?” Dang it. It just popped out of her mouth. Hopefully he wouldn’t get upset though.

"A succubus, I suppose I should take time to educate you both to the dangers in the world. Foolish boy. I do trust you told him going out was a stupid idea?" Greg asks.

Blade had no idea what was going on around him at the moment. Nothing. His mind told him he hurt. A lot. And in places where a thirteen year old boy should not be hurting. Even after the healing, it would take him a few minutes for his mind and body to return to the ‘real’ world. It was like... I don’t know... like he was lost in his own mind to hide from the pain.

After several minutes passed, his eyes began to open. When they did, a look of horror sprang to his face as he thrust himself upwards into a sitting position and began feeling for his pants. He was damn near hyperventilating at this point.

A succubus!? She knew what those were. Ally wasn’t sure how she knew about them but she did. It made her blood boil just thinking about Blade with one of those creatures. Poor Blade. But she had told him so. She just didn’t think he deserved that kind of punishment though.

She nodded to Greg when he asked if she warned him not to go out. Ally had tried but Blade was just too stupid to take her advice. Eyes grew wide and she moved back off the bed when he sat up looking rather panicked.

"That was a stupid thing to do wasn't it boy? It is a pity I couldn't find you sooner. In the future remember bad things can happen to little boys with delusions of bad ass."Greg says, but his voice for once isn't short. It's almost soothing....

His head shoots upwards as Greg’s voice comes to his ears. His eyes are wild with fright. His breathing is still quite fast and near hyperventilating. He just stares at Greg for a few minutes before he lets his wild eyes glance around the room. It seems to take him a few to really figure out that he’s no longer in the darkness of the woods anymore. He brought his gaze back to Greg finally. Tears were welling up in his frightened eyes.

“I... I just wanted to go for a walk,” he whimpers. “I... I... I wanted to try to find my father. That... that’s why I came all the way up here.” He’s now trying to blink back the tears that welled up in his eyes. Holy crap folks. The bad ass little boy is actually crying. Guess he’s not so tough after all.

Eyebrows furrowed as she watched him start to cry. Whoever did this to him was going to pay. She didn’t know how but they were. Good thing she was kneeling on the ground, hands by her side so they were not visible for they were clenched into fists now as she thought about what that monster did to Blade. That pulsing through her veins was growing hot. She tried to calm herself down though before things got carried away. Reaching up to Blade she grabbed his hand and made that rubbing motion with her thumb in his palm again to calm him as she had done before.

"You are not a very bright boy. Not very bright at all. Someday I will explain. For now rest. Ally will stay with you. I have matters to tend to, and no I don't mean that woman. Ally, do not let her know what you are. You either son, Keep Ally's Secret. There are many things I'd rather the woman not know about. Both of you stay inside while I am away. Worse things than me, lurk in the night waiting to prey on the young.....things even I might not be able to save you from." he warns.

(He goes, but I will warn you he won't be gone long, he only goes fro a drive to check up on Sinister with his magic)

He blinks and looks down at his hand as he feels it being grabbed. A few more blinks and he gazes over at Ally. The tears are rolling from his eyes but he’s starting to not hyperventilate finally. He looks back up at Greg as the man starts to speak again. He nods his head quickly and drops his gaze to the ground. “Y... yes sir,” he mutters. “I... I ain’t goin’ no where.”

The moment Greg leaves, Blade lowers himself onto the bed and curls himself into a tight ball.

She watches Greg leave and then turns to Blade who was curling up into a ball on the bed though she kept her hold on his hand to keep him calm. She waited a while but she couldn’t help say it.

”I told you it was a bad idea to go out.”

He brings a hand up to cover his ear that’s not pressed to the bed. His tears still falling. “Don’t,” he whimpers. “Just don’t.” He is, of course, talking about the whole ‘I told you so’ stuff.

She didn’t say anymore more about it. But she had to say it one way or the other. She got up off the floor and sat down on the bed next to him. You want me to go get Casey. She’d make you feel better maybe.”

He shook his head slightly. “I... I think... I think I just want to go to sleep.”

”Alright. I’ll be out in the living room if you need me.” She let go of his hand and left the room and sat down on the couch.

Panic started to rise in him again as she left the room. "Wait!" he cried out. "Please... stay here..."

She hadn’t been gone but two seconds when she heard him screaming for her to come back. Quickly she got up and went back into his room. Talk about making her heart beat faster.

”Fine. I’ll stay here till you at least fall asleep.” She sat down against the wall near the door and stared at him.

When Greg came back he found them that way. "Just so nothing else happens I think you should both walk the puppy from now on." he says to them.

He had lifted his head when he’d cried out for her to not leave him in there alone. Yes. He was scared that the... thing... would come back and hurt him again. He watched her sit on the floor by the door. He climbed off the bed and went over to where she was sitting. Body lowered to the ground and he curled himself into a ball next to her with his rear end pressed tightly to the wall.

He was like that for only a little while when he heard a car pull up and the front door open and close. He looked up from the floor at Greg. That wild look creeping back into his eyes again. “I... I don’t... I don’t want to go out there,” he whimpered. “If... if it’s dark out. Please... please don’t make me.”

She let him curl up beside her and she looked up when Gregory was suddenly standing in the doorway looking at them. Wait. What? Both of them have to take Casey out? She’s been doing fine with that on her own. It’s not like she went that far anyways.

”He doesn’t have to go. He’s still scared.” She said probably more defiantly than she meant it to be.

Greg rubbed his forehead. "Well, wouldn't you feel bad if something happened to Ally and the puppy. I did not mean right now anyway though." he said.

It seemed to take a few moments but finally he nodded his head slowly. Head was dropped back down to the ground. Along with it went his gaze obviously. “Y... yes sir,” he said weakly. “I... I’ll go.”

Didn’t she just say he didn’t have to go? Blade was freaked out about going outside obviously and when she took the puppy for walks after dark no doubt he would be even more upset.

”He doesn’t have to go on night walks though. It’s obvious he doesn’t like the dark.” She looked down at the frightened boy.

"He can't remain crippled by it forever. I can let him walk with you, or I can break him in other ways...."Greg says softly.

Blade really didn’t want to know what he meant by break him in other ways. Not right now. Not any time soon. “I... I said I’ll go,” he said softly but in a defiant manner.

She stood up now as she looked up at Gregory. Why was he doing this? ”Why are you hurting him? He’s done nothing to you.” She was thinking of what Blade had told her earlier about what had happened in the trailer, but of course Gregory didn’t know about that. Greg had never hurt her before. Why was he hurting this boy? It didn’t make sense.

"He has to learn somehow." Greg answers his eyes glimmer darkly.

Lean somehow? Learn what? That the world was full of sick fucks who liked to do mean things to him?

“Ally...” he whimpered. “Stop...” He didn’t want to see her get into trouble on account of him being a stupid idiot and going out even after she’d told him not to. He pushed himself into a sitting position. His back fully against the way. "Please... stop..."

"You'll see. One day you really will...." He tells her softly but in a warning tone.

The glimmer in his eye was only enticing the other half to the point of where her eyes were glowing that strange faint blue and her body was glowing an eerie white. Dark energy was pulsating through her body at this point as she glared at him.

Suddenly though Blade’s pleading voice reached her ears and the glowing ceased almost immediately. She turned to look down at Blade eyebrows furrowed. It took a minute or two, to realize what was going on before she crouched down next to him again.

The boy didn’t really want to find out. Not any time soon. He felt as though he’d been through enough shit after what happened to him tonight. As she sat back down next to him, Blade reached over with one of his hands timidly and took hers into his.

"Goodnight children." Greg says softly. He gets up mumbling magic. He's decidedd to let them talk, while he listens.

She watches him leave the room before turning back to Blade who had grabbed her hand after she had sat back down. ”What’s wrong?”

Blade says nothing as Greg says goodnight and then leaves the room. The mumbling from the man went unnoticed by the boy. He looks over at Ally as she asks him what’s wrong. Gaze drops back down to the ground as he pulls his hand away from her and puts both hands in his lap.

“I... I’m sorry I didn’t listen to you,” he says meekly. “I... I shouldn’t have gone.”

”I told you not to, but you wouldn’t listen. You really are way too stubborn.” However she said it more nicely this time than the first as he was obviously still in distress from tonight’s events. She wasn’t even going to ask if he wanted to talk about it. Succubus’s weren’t the nicest of creatures.

”Here.” She stood up and held out her hand for him to get himself up. ”I bet you’d feel better sitting on the bed. At lets it’s softer.”

The content of the conversation so far was trivial. Greg kicked off his shoes and made himself comfortable while he listened.

He really didn’t want to hear the ‘I told you so’ stuff again. However, he made no objections to it this time. He took her hand and got to his feet. It would almost seem as though she were leading him as if he were nothing more than a puppy himself. He sat down on the bed and pressed his back against the wall.

Blade didn’t know about what Matt really was. All he knew was that he had been attacked by the guy. “He... hurt me... at the park...” he finally muttered in an almost inaudible voice. “Not... not Greg... the... the guy... the other guy... He said... he said his name was Matthew.” He was speaking almost as if he didn’t really realize that he was speaking out loud.

She listened to him as he tried to sputter out what had happened. ”He was a succubus Blade. They aren’t the nicest of magical creatures. It sounds like you ran into a rather nasty one to. It took quite some time to heal you.” She lifted her legs up onto the bed and crossed them in front of her as she sat there staring at the still shocked boy.
