Name: Vivienne Katherine KilDares
(She goes by Viv)
Status: Initiate
Age: 28
Gender: female
Species: Construct/Human originally
Class: blood mage (she has some general mage abilities, but her magic is definitely tainted towards negative energies, that's what her father taught her to manipulate afterall)
Occupation: Repair service tech
Appearance:
Vivienne is pretty, but not beautiful, perhaps if her life had gone differently she would have possessed beauty, but such is not the case. She has coppery brown hair, hazel eyes, that are a stormy green more often than not. Her most captivating feature is that she is haunting looking, almost as if she were not completely in this world, though for the time being she is. She wears very little make up, occasionally she wears lipstick. Her nails are short from biting them. She has full lips, classic high cheekbones and fair, creamy skin. She is of average height, just under five-seven. Her hair comes to the middle of her back and most of the time she braids it.
She often has a far away look on her face, though she remains very aware of what is going on around her. Viv is muscular, having broad shoulders and wide hips, with a slender waist. She wears loose comfortable clothing that belies her strength and makes it difficult to tell her exact proportions. She often wears boots and likes motorcycle jackets. She'll wear anything she likes on a whim, and things that would tick her father off if he could see them. She looks younger than she is not wearing heavy make up and her loose clothing helps this along she looks about 20.
Background:
Viv's father was a mage, a particularly cruel and nasty one a that. He practiced his art with ruthless efficiency and little care about it's ultimate consequences. This is how Vivienne lost her mother at age five. She had been playing with her mother on the living room floor with marbles when the house exploded. Her father, Macsen, had been working on creating a more devastating fireball spell. He did not foresee it would take out half a city block. He remained magically warded from the blast. His wife and many of his neighbors were killed however. Vivienne lived, but was mangled, burned, battered and disfigured. Her father paid for the best care he could get for her and she recovered, at least on the outside, with time. The care he paid for consisted of medicine, magic and even experimental research of his own. Because of this, it wasn't until well into adulthood that Viv fully understood what she is and can do herself.
After the accident Macsen moved with his daughter from their small house in New England, to the Gulf Coast of Alabama, a place on the ocean called Gulf Shores. At first little Vivienne, in a wheel chair while therapists helped her learn to walk again, wanted to know where her mother was. With time(and brainwashing) though, she came to accept her father's explanation that she had left them.
Just when Vivienne became able to function like a normal little girl entirely, Macsen remarried.(right after he was done putting her together with the help of mages and doctors as a magical construct/tool for his purposes) Her new stepmother had two son's of her own, and loved to spend money. She was a widower, and southern woman of very refined tastes. Macsen toiled in his Magical endeavors night and day in order to pay for the things his new wife wanted. The children were mostly ignored so long as they did well with their tutors, didn't bicker with each other, and stayed out of sight and out of mind. When they were old enough they were given no choice in learning about magic.
It was at 15 when a very magically adept Vivienne discovered the truth about her mother with a scrying spell.(the spell acted as a catalyst and unlocked all the memories her father and shrinks had worked to make her repress) Outraged she left home and didn't look back. Her father had no intention of simply letting her slip beyond his control however. He followed Vivienne obsessively, he nearly captured her more than once, but always she managed to stay a step ahead of him. Of the children, she was his equal in power. Making it difficult for him to catch her. It did not take him long to realize that he could hurt her through hurting those she came to care about. Thus her first love was murdered brutally by her father.
The hatred between the two grew, and his pursuit became relentless, costing him his second marriage. The pursuit ended just before Viv's twentieth birthday, When Macsen met his third bride, a witch with a forte for raising the dead. His focus on ruining Vivienne's life waned and he moved to France with his new wife.
Vivienne used to live by her wits, she'd take on almost any type of job, be it burglary, landscaping, waitressing, or running scams, she did what she had to. She draws the line at hurting children, but for the right price she'd act as an impromptu collections agent for debts of a dubious nature.
Vivienne is tough and independent, almost everything she has ever cared about in this life was taken from her by her father.
Her love life has been one series of mishaps and tragedies after another. She came close to having a real love connection with Hugh McKnight, but they both had quirks they couldn't quite over look in eachother.
Viv likes children, mostly because she can't have any, the explosion that nearly killed her in childhood robbed her of that. (her reproductive organs weren't all replaced)
random fact her birthday is "The Ides of March" beware Caesar.
The more suffering pain, and conflicted emotions there are for her to draw on the more potent her magic potentially is. Bayfield is like and endless well of angst and pain to feed her magic.
