Title: Aimlessness

BooYa - September 4, 2004 11:08 PM (GMT)
Leesh was wandering through the city streets with no real direction, dressed in garb that he wouldn't have chosen for himself but it had come to pass that he would wear it - boots, with tight, low slung faded blue jeans, a black mesh shirt, and liner and mascara thickly around his gray eyes that he had not put there himself.

He'd found a shop window by now, and was admiring his new look in it. His dusty brown hair had even been spiked up a bit by the godly intervention of Apoth himself.

Posing this way and that, he lit the cigarette that he'd palmed off a passing pedestrian, using a lighter he'd found in a trash can that still had some fluid in it. Enough to ignite a cigarette after six attempts for a spark, in any case.

Leesh's night in the city was not yet over.

He continued walking through the city, cigarette either in his right hand or positioned between his lips. The smoke demon was studying each person he passed with an intensity that was akin to rudeness by someone who understood social niceties. Leesh knew nothing of the sort - this smoke demon was new to city life, and was hungry for any experience that sought him out.

Looking in through the window of a pet store and now studying the pups and kittens that slept soundly behind the glass in their cages, his head tilted this way and that before he turned sharply and without warning, directly into the path of another pedestrian, who he managed to entangle himself with.

"Ack!" was the sound he emitted.

Riddle - June 11, 2007 06:20 AM (GMT)
"Gah!" is the reponse he receives.

Thanks to a difference in height, Shen had made a sharp impact more with the stranger's chin, soundly striking his forehead in their collision. He recoils and stumbles one or two steps away with a pained hiss; a hand is raised to rub the tender spot now on his skull.

After a moment to recover, he then whips an accusing glare up at the latter. An uneasy wind passes through, unexpectedly breaking the still, night air.

"Watch where you're going, ass," he snaps testily. Forget the fact that he hadn't been paying attention to his pathway either, and he had been jogging, too.

But he is sore, sweaty, and tired right now. After a rough day of slaving away in a poorly ventilated warehouse for practically nil, he is bound to be pissy (well, more than usual).

BooYa - June 11, 2007 06:55 AM (GMT)
Leesh squinted at who he'd reeled back from, a hand upon his chin to check that it hadn't been dislodged. Gray eyes found Shen's scowl and brows lifted at the namecalling, a hand sneaking down to place a palm upon one cheek of his ass - now in question.

"My ass can't watch where it's going," he informed the other, and pulled an expression which declared that he'd made a rather poignant argument in his defence. "So when I'm walking backwards, I can't see," he informed Shen, implying that the other should really have been walking for (and around) him. His tone wasn't that of a person who is upset, for now he'd found someone to interact with. The smoke demon, being a social creature well beyond what was normal for his kind, awaited the other's response with half a smile.

Riddle - June 12, 2007 12:37 AM (GMT)
Well... Shen doesn't quite know how to respond to this, and he shows by lifting his eyebrows skeptically. Insults are easier to cope with than informative arguments concerning backsides.

"Good to know," he eventually states in a tone that says otherwise, frown deepening. Is this guy being sarcastic? Because if he is, this miserable Elemental is going to be pissed. "Now, could you take that blind ass and move?"

Normally, he wouldn't be this stubborn, especially considering he is pretty exhausted and could just step around him and be on his not-so-merry way...but he doesn't like to yield to jerks. (At least, he thinks this guy is one. Maybe.)

BooYa - June 12, 2007 05:38 AM (GMT)
Blind ass? For an ass to be blind, surely first it must be able to see, or was supposed to see. Again with the argument of a visual backside. It occurred to Leesh after a moment, that the youth before him might be insistant about an ass being able to see was perhaps because his ass had such an ability. The idea of an ass having eyes was too great a curiosity to deny, and Leesh moved out of the way, if only to circle Shen whilst trying to check out his backside - and he wasn't being discreet about it either.

Shen breathes a small, relieved sigh as the other young man finally decides to meander around him. That had been strangely easy -- almost disappointing, really. He isn't about to complain, though, in his current, shabby state. He doubts his body could handle a confrontation right now.

Of course, he must have jinxed himself with that train of thought. Just as he is about to take his own leave, he hears the footsteps stop a few feet behind him. Stilling uncertainly, he cranes his neck around to see just what had arrested Leesh's attention...only to find another pair of gray eyes staring intently at him.

Well, the lower half of him.

"Hey...!" An angry flush heats up his scowling countenance as he pivots on his heel to face him completely, bum now out of the smoke demon's sight. There is a definite stir in the air. "What the hell is your problem?!"

Damn it. He's switching to the day shift.

BooYa - June 16, 2007 09:38 PM (GMT)
He was disappointed to find that Shen was wearing clothing with no eye holes. The other youth spun around and demanded to know if Leesh needed help with something - or rather, that was how the smoke demon heard it. Wanting to know what someone's problems were was to invite assistance in solving them, yes? Leesh smiled at the offer and pointed out the obvious.

"There are no holes in the back of your pants." Then he had an idea of how he could find out where exactly Shen's second set of eyes were, without having to see them. "There is something you can help me with, close your eyes."

He didn't want for the set of eyes on Shen's face to close before he stepped forward into the other's space and embraced him, hands rubbing over Shen's backside quickly whilst fingers trailed, feeling around for any bumps or depressions that might be Shen's second set of eye sockets.

Riddle - June 16, 2007 10:22 PM (GMT)
( I'd like to take this moment to say that I love Leesh. )

An eyebrow had been arched at that first statement, as if to say, 'Of course not, dumbass. Like I'd walk around in public with holes back there'. But the other brow joins its brother when he's told to close his eyes.

"Why shou-" He doesn't even get to complete his sentence when Leesh takes a daring, personal-space-invading step towards him and wraps his arms around him...only to plant his hands on the smaller Elemental's butt, fingers caressing curiously through the fabric.

Shen's eyes, instead of obeying the smoke demon's order, widen dramatically as he stands in the embrace, shellshocked. It's not every day that he's molested by some weirdo on the streets, you know. It's a little disarming to the inexperienced.

"W-Wha-...G-Get the FUCK off me!" It takes him a second or so to recover, his words stuttered at first until it at last clicks in his mind that he's being physically violated by this bastard. The embarrassed rage shortly follows, inciting him to struggle against the smoke demon, spitting curses out. There are squalls now, from quite out of nowhere, whipping around them ominously and even forcing the 'attacker' away a little.

Leesh, as a Smoke Demon and therefore a minor Air Demon, was very sensitive to the change in air around them. It wasn't so much the outburst Shen made (though it was alarming, to be yelled directly into the face), but rather the sensation of feeling wind creep around his arms and pulling at his torso that he moved with it, as though the breeze had a genuine physical power over him. He was delighted with the torrents, wishing that he could've turned into his wispy form and play in it - but the person before him kept him at bay and he knew (even without social training) that he shouldn't just disappear into smoke before someone's eyes.

Now Leesh was a foot away from his victim, and smiling at him openly, open mouthed, with open arms, remaining in the position the wind current had left him in - like he was ready for Shen now to embrace him. His earlier distraction of eyes on asses was forgotten, as he marvelled at this latest occurence.

"Did you feel that?" he wondered. "It defied normal wind currents," he said, a seasoned forecastor of summer breezes, wintery chills and high and low humidity in the air. After a moment's pause, he flopped his arms back to his sides, though one hand pointed itself into Shen's chest, and asked: "Can you suck your eyes into your ass?" as though this was the most normal question in the world.

Riddle - June 17, 2007 04:20 AM (GMT)
Shen, freed at last from Leesh's grasp, can only heave from exertion and dumbly gape back at the pointing finger. Then, he's struck by a sudden, unnerving revelation, and it makes him withdraw further from the smoke demon.

...Oh, no. Druggie. That has to explain this behavior. God, of all people to run into...

"Look...I've got no fuckin' eyes in my ass, okay?" He backs another step, tentative in his movements, so as to not startle this aggressive crackhead. "You don't need to feel me up to know that."

He doesn't comment about the abnormal airflow, however, because...well, he kinda, sort of knows that it's his influence, but it's an incredulous acknowledgement of this 'power'. All he knows is that it happens whenever he gets really upset or even strongly emotional. And he might have been just as intrigued by it, too, if he hadn't been entirely too busy avoiding more physical contact with the other man.

BooYa - June 17, 2007 06:35 AM (GMT)
"Then why did you think there were eyes in mine?" Leesh asked, exasperated. This entire conversation seemed to be going around in circles, and as Shen tentatively stepped back, Leesh moved forward, so as not to bring too distant a gap between them. They were talking, after all.

Feel him up? Leesh supposed he had felt him up, and it occured to him that if there were no eyes in Shen's ass, it would've felt like an intimate groping. His exasperation gave way to realisation and then humour, before he realised he was going to have to make it up to Shen, somehow. "Look, to make it fair you can feel mine." He turned slightly to one side and thrust his denim-clad backside out, an encouraging smile on his face.

Riddle - June 17, 2007 04:49 PM (GMT)
Shen gawks at the offered posterior, clearly dumbstruck and bordering on disgust.

Perhaps it's a friendly gesture of compromise to Leesh, but all the elemental can see is 'SEXUAL HARASSMENT' in huge, flashing, neon words.

Deciding that perhaps enough is enough, he executes another U-turn and begins to walk away very briskly. If the other man pursues, which Shen has the foreboding feeling will happen, he'll make a run for it. Even when sore, he's much faster on foot than most people.

Of course, he doesn't know exactly what he's up against.

BooYa - June 18, 2007 06:23 AM (GMT)
His offer not taken up, Leesh swivelled around on his heel to watch Shen walk away - not that he knew it was Shen walking away, because he didn't know the other's name, but he figured correctly that Shen wasn't willing to touch Leesh's ass. That was cool, Leesh hadn't particularly wanted him to, it was just to be fair.

As Shen had predicted, Leesh followed, though did a few little skipping steps to try and catch up, so they could walk side by side, and talk about if Shen knew anybody who did have eyes in their ass.

With a jaunty step, he closed in.

Riddle - June 19, 2007 12:01 AM (GMT)
And that's when Shen makes a break for it, sensing the other approach through his peripheral.

Sorry to leave, crazy, groping stoner. No time to chit-chat.

The muscles in his legs - already smarting from his seven-hour shift - resist a little at first, making him nearly hesitate, but soon he finds himself rounding the upcoming corner at the block's end. He'll have to take a scenic route to his apartment complex.

"Stubborn bastard" drifts back to Leesh on a passing breeze, the words rushed and lowly mumbled.
