Title: First time in a city
Description: ...no more open range...

The bus stopped, the last stop on the driver's route. There was only one passenger this morning, strangely enough. Kendrick departed, hat tipped far over his face, hiding it. As the bus exhuast cleared, Kendrick lifted the brim of his hat and looked upwards. Amazed by the sheer hieght of everything, he gave a soft whistle.

"Whoa ... big buildings. They don't have these at home."

A half-smile appeared on his face at the thought of home. Kendrick had lived in one of the few remaining pieces of untamed land. Open range, not so many fences.
But that time was gone now. People wanted to build wanted ... "progress". So Kendrick left, and somehow found himself in this particular city.

"Still .... this place can't compare."

He muttered, turning his gaze to earth again. Kendrick flipped his hat back down as well, hiding his face again. Rubbing a hand to the back of his neck, Kendrick began his walk along the quite steet.

"Ey ... where to start?"

Meaning, where should he find income; where to spend his nights. Not that Kendrick minded sleeping outside, under the stars. It was just that this was the city. No one did things like that anymore ... except for "recreation".

"Pssh ... whatever ..."

Kendrick dismissed the idle thought, and began pondering upon the two more important ones. Shoving his hands in his pockets, he continued walking, boots making a soft click against the sidewalk. Not much was going on this morning, pretty quite. Not at all what Kendrick expected the city to be, that was for sure.

"I don't think that's really the case, Jezz."

"Ok, Jesse- then what do you think is the case."

"I think that you're too stuck-up."

"That wasn't a choice, doofus."

"Well... I made it on-" Running smack dab into someone tall, Jesse Wilkes stopped in mid-sentence, his languid stride haulted. He had fallen to the ground, his straight brown hair flung over his face.

His sister, Jezabelle - or just Jezzi- was watching in amusement, soon lending a hand to her fallen twin. Jesse stood, his green eyes landing on the figure he had run into, the Stetson hat slightly suprising to the city-boy. Jezzi's own emerald eyeballs landed on the stranger as well, her arms crossing.

"Not from around here, huh?" If it weren't for octave differences in tone, the two would have sounded alike, just as they looked alike. Though 'alike' wasn't the right word, identical was. The only thing different was their clothing.

Jezzi was clad in a denim, knee-length skirt; her shirt a collared baby blue. Then came the brown boots that threw off the whole outfit. She had worn her glasses as well, the plaid frames standing out.

Jesse stood in his baggy khakis, and his white collared shirt. Needless to say, He was much more concious about his looks than his sister- the sloppy one.

Either way, they stood still, eyeing the stranger, and the one whom blocked thier path.

Kendrick had taken a step backwards upon being walked into. He'd given a quick look at the two, as the girl helped the other guy up. Twins? City kids, no less: Kendrick hadn't seen much of either. But still, he laughed at the question with a brief shake of his head.

"That obvious, eh?"

He flipped his hat back a bit as he gave a small shrug.

"Well ... You're right on that 'un. Just arrived in this here city."

Kendrick only had a slight accent, though not much of a drawl to it. The truth was, (though he didn't look the part), Kendrick wasn't "countrified" as most people expected him to be. Only few of the words he spoke could be detected as ... different.

"Anyhow ... you alright? Its not often people just walk into me like that."

Jezzi gave a soft laugh as Jesse smoothed down his hair. "Yeah... I'm alright. You'd think that being raised here, I'd know where I was going."

Jesse also laughed, continuing to attempt to fix his hair. The brown strands fell to his ears, and he was meticulous about them. Meanwhile, though, Jessi returned her gaze to the stranger.

"My imbecile brother here is Jesse, and I'm Jezabelle; though you can call me Jezzi." She was alwasy the one to talk to people first, the one to ask directions- and the one to be blunt.

"Right then."

Hmm ... siblings. That explained a few things. Both with such similar names ... that's sure to be confusing.

For no real reason what-so-ever, Kendrick removed his hat and gave a rather overly dramatic bow.

"The name's Kendrick Adalwolf. Pleasure to meet you, two."

With a sweep of hand, he replaced the hat upon his head and straightened. The Stetson was slightly crooked, so Kendrick adjusted it with a flick of his wrist.

"Anyways, I am indeed new to this city. Just arrived here about ... ten minutes ago or so."

"Kendrick it is!" Jezzi exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air. This was reacted to by Jessi, whom rolled his eyes.

Where ya staying at, Kendrick?" His low voice asked, soothing tones being inquisitive. It was true, though... he was just being nosey.

Kendrick gave his usual good natured laugh at such exclamation. Leaning back slightly, he idly shoved his hands in pockets again.

"Staying? Still working on that matter. Actually, I just got off a bus."
