The City
This is the city in general-- the streets, the alleys, anything not listed somewhere else.

The Fast Food District
'The Fast Food District' is a casual name for a somewhat shabby, run-down area of town. It gets its name from the people living there, not from any fast food restaurants.
Apartments and litter-covered cement parks, shanty-towns and old, run-down or even condemned buildings haunt this part of the city.

The Waterfront
In a number of places, the city backs right up to the water. However, there are a number of public beaches, and even a few more private ones.

The Good End of Town
Here, the upscale clubs, restaurants, houses, condominiums, shops and businesses can be found. The good end of town is filled with towering skyscrapers, sculpted glass and steel 'modern' buildings, and older stone buildings, all artfully placed in the city. Gardens are planted in spare space, and everything is well taken care of.

Redway Park
Redway is a large park near the Lacroix river. Closest to the street, the park is pruned and planted perfectly, with a complete absence of any real nature. Closer to the river, however, the park becomes wild woods in which only a few paths are clear enough to be travelled.

Keaton University
Keaton is the premiere university in the city. Many people work or study here. Keaton is a grand old University, with many old stone buildings. It adds character to the city, and besides that, is a good University. Keaton is on the waterfront.

Elm Street
Elm is not the main street in the city, not even the busiest, but it is known for its abundance of unique places to shop. The street is lined with small, independant stores from bookstores and healthfood shops to confectionaries and odd little shops full of candles and herbs.

The Bad End of Town
This is the dingier, dirtier end of town, filled with cement, littered streets, unkempt yards, old overgrown lots, condemned buildings, unsavoury clubs, pubs and shops, as well as a number of faceless modern apartments and run-down townhouses.

Fortuna Casino
Under construction for a few years, the Fortuna Casino has finally opened in Bayfield, with wild fanfare and much boo-ing. Some factions believe it will do nothing but bring the city down, while others think warmly of the tourist industry and the economy. One way or the other, the casino's Vegas-like spotlights are scanning the sky and its slot machines are running. Good luck.

Monroe's Family Diner
Monroe's is a small, mostly-clean diner in one of the more active districts in town. During the day, various families and people from nearby workplaces eat here. Monroe's is open 24 hours, though, and so hosts the hungry from all walks of life at night.
Yes, of course it's fifties-themed.

White Skies Amusement Park
White Skies has everything, from towering roller coaster to tame kiddie rides, from a wave pool in the water park to a multitude of waterslides, from impossible-to-win carnival games to suspicious hotdogs. It is open from nine in the morning to eleven at night, though in the dead hours of the night it is eerily deserted.

The Empty Glass Pub
The Empty Glass is a small bar in a seedier part of town. One has to have their wits about them to enter here, and preferrably a bullet-proof vest.

The Twa Corbies
The Twa Corbies is a small irish-style pub on Elm street. During the day, the tourists come for the ambience: the old wood, the antique feel to the place. The tourists never get to meet the night crowd, which has altogether more 'ambience' than they are likely to suspect.

Jacobson's Used and Rare Books
Jacobson's is located on Elm Street. It is yet another tall, thin brick building built however many years ago. The interior is full of dust and the smell of old books. It is three stories and goes a lot further back than one might guess. It seems almost bigger on the inside than the outside.
Jacobson's is unique in that it has little spaces tucked away in corners throughout the store where a customer can sit and read a book.

Bay Street Theatre
A nice old brick building on Bay Street East. Once a house, it was converted into a medium-sized theatre a few decades ago. Other than the actual 'theatre' part itself, there is a maze of backstage rooms as well as storage and yet more rooms upstairs. The grand entrance on bay Street is picturesque, though the actors themselves tend to enter through a back alley door.

The Bayfield Herald
This large building in the good end of town is home to Bayfield's very own newspaper, the Herald. Published daily, the Herald reports events and publishes columns and comics and hires a large staff of writers, reporters, editors and photographers. The Herald is well-known for being a straight-forward, upstanding, down-to-earth newspaper, and is about as likely to publish a story on magic as it is to get up and fly to New Jersey to make a living selling exotic fruit.

Bayfield Central Police Station
Located in downtown Bayfield, this large and recently renovated building is the centre for Bayfield police activity. The city's main jail is here, along with central processing, computer systems, and a lot of desks, detectives, beat cops and secretaries.

Only some of these workers are innish, so if your problem involves magic, it's best to avoid Bayfield Central Station.

Injured? Sick? A doctor? This is the place for you.

Be careful, though. Too many odd wounds, too many bruises, and, in fact, any bullet wounds at all, and they'll get the police involved.

Alderman Museum
A foreboding neoclassical building in one of the city's older districts, Alderman Museum was constructed a number of years ago on a grand scale. The exhibits are not always interesting, but different things come through-- often it tries to bring some of the artifacts from the ROM in Toronto.

Faded
'Faded' is a classy nightclub on the end of Elm Street. It attracts a good clientele, and provides live entertainment every Friday. This is an upscale, mostly Unnish nightclub. The entertainment is usually local bands, though occasionally more famous bands will play, or a karaoke or live comedy night will be held.

The Warehouse
The Warehouse is, in fact, a warehouse, turned into a legitimate nightclub prone to rave-style partes by an enterprising businessman. It is a large building, the interior decorated in flashy style. Drinks are served. Must be of legal drinking age to enter. The bouncers were trained specially by the god Dionis, and do not accept fake ID, nor are they swayed by beauty or bribery.

Dark
This nightclub is just as its name suggests: dark. It's also a gathering place for the Initiated. Both Initiated and Uninitiated are allowed into Dark, however any Uninitiated in the nightclub might just end up getting an unpleasant surprise-- who knows.

The Triskele Club
The Triskele is located on Elm Street. From the street, it is nothing more than a door in a thin slice of wall between shops. The door opens on steps, which lead up to the Triskele Club, a very selective place run mostly for the benefit of the Initiated. There are no signs, no advertisements. To get into the Triskele, or to even find it, one must have a business card given to them. Even Deities can sometimes be found in the Triskele.

Banks of the Lacroix
Here, the swooping Lacroix river slows down a bit and widens out before continuing into the city. It is well-shaded by old trees, and a favourite spot the hike to for city folk.
Upriver is Adelaide Waterfall, a small but nonetheless impressive waterfall.
