bluejeanbaby - January 28, 2004 03:19 AM (GMT)
My fave couple isn't listed as an option. :(
Blue (who just earned her 100th post  )
rupert4eva - January 28, 2004 06:27 PM (GMT)
Well, in dream land it would be Jenny/Ron, but it seems like that option was forgotton......... :roflol: :P
But in the books, probably R/Hr
bluejeanbaby - January 29, 2004 03:39 AM (GMT)
I'll vote for you and Ron, Jenny. That sounds like the best couple to me.

I voted for H/L. That is my favorite ship listed although, my fav. wasn't listed.
I have become an avid slash reader recently
Remus/Sirius
Remus/Harry
Sirius/Harry
all rock my socks!
Rae
bluejeanbaby - January 31, 2004 11:34 PM (GMT)
Woo Hoo someone else who reads slash! While I don't sail the same ships as you do, Rae, I will list mine now.
I am proud Draco/Harry shipper. (and I know that I am not the only one, hem, hem)

lazarus - February 1, 2004 06:45 AM (GMT)
erm, that's my cue!
Yes, I love draco/harry, I'm obsessed lately with illustrating scenes from my favorite d/h slash (not that it's any good:
example.)
Sirius/Remus doesn't even feel like slash to me, it's so totally canon.
rupert4eva - February 1, 2004 12:24 PM (GMT)
Did you do that picture, Lazarus? Its good, but not quite my ship!
Are there many slash sites around, I haven't actually come across any yet I don't think?
Edit: Forgot to congratulate Blue on her wonderful taste! :P :roflol:

Really? Thanks! :)
katiebell04 - February 1, 2004 07:03 PM (GMT)
I picked Cho and Harry. Only because they fight but what couple doesn't have a fight now and then. :harry:
lazarus - February 1, 2004 09:29 PM (GMT)
yup, r4e, I did that!
There is a
ton of hp slash out there - type it into a search engine, or look at
fictionalley.
As far as straight or canon ships go, I could see Ron and Hermione. Harry, however, has very much a Frodo-returning-to-the-Shire syndrome: he has saved and protected a beautiful world, a beautiful peoples, but in doing so he has removed himself from it. It's unlikely that he could have a normal, comfortable relationship with anyone, at least anyone we've met. Hermione has such an extreme personality that she needs an extreme balance. Ron is extreme almost to the point of two-dimensionality, but Harry couldn't handle her- he's much too moderate and far too introverted. Ginny is cute, but she can't treat Harry like a real human, he's saved her life and her world and he has become, for her, a celebrity-cum-religious icon. That's unfortunate, because if he could be loved unconditionally by anyone, it would be a Weasley (most of them already do). And Cho, well, she doesn't deserve a lot of the hatred fans reserve for her, really. She acts exactly like a teenage girl would in that situation- she's confused and she believes that Harry is strength, is fortitude, and when she finds out that it's not true, that he's exactly as (or more) confused, complex, and unsure of himself as anyone else, it spells out for her that Harry is nice and all, but not what she is looking for. And anyway, she is just kind of a spaz.
Nope, I very firmly believe that unless JK introduces a female with the same stranger-in-a-strange-land reservations that Harry has, or opens it up to homosexual pairings (not likely), Harry will remain entirely alone.
:(

I don't read slash. That just scares me. My favs are in my av, look at it. It flashes my ships proudly(although Ron and Jenny doesn't sound too bad)
lazarus - February 1, 2004 10:25 PM (GMT)
Why does it scare you, might I ask?
bluejeanbaby - February 2, 2004 05:23 AM (GMT)
My goodness Laz! (love the art btw)
Just wanted to reinterate (sp?) my love for H/D slash. If you want to read the very best H/D slash out there, go either
here or
here.
I do have to warn you that they are very long and once you start reading them, you won't want to stop. (Reading these two fics will completely convince you how PERFECT Harry and Draco are for each other.)
*waving the Draco/Harry banner proudly*

p.s. the second story I recommended has absolutely no sexual interaction (strictly speaking in the actual doing sense).
rmdreamz - February 20, 2004 01:07 AM (GMT)
In dreamland it would be me and Harry...but in reality I picked Hermione and Harry. :harry: <3's :hermione:

I dunno. I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I just don't see anyone from Harry Potter going... Yeah. Maybe it's partically becuase I know my ships and I support them fully. I even have trouble reading Harry/Hermione fics for that reason. So it's not that it really scares me, it's just I don't see it happening.
Tanya - February 22, 2004 02:28 PM (GMT)
I don't mind slash and won't be surprised if it happened but the ships I support aren't slash.
Ron/Hermione
Ginny/Harry
DRACO/LUNA! <--THE ULTIMATE SHIP! :D
Rae - February 22, 2004 03:32 PM (GMT)
I <3 Fictionalley! They have so many fan fics to read. (I spend my lunch break there!)
I am pretty sure that Cassandra Claire's Draco Trilogy, is H/D. I haven't read that one yet, but I here it is one of the best fanfics ever.

 I can't believe everyone doesn't see it.
Now, about your Harry thing where he may end up with no one, I kinda agree and kind of disagree. I think that Luna would be a good match for him, but I too see him like the Frodo, and then dying afterwords. But I think Luna and Harry would maybe get together before the war started.
dracapotter12 - March 6, 2004 09:14 PM (GMT)
Hermione & Ron all the way! They are the most awesome couple ever!
EmilytheStrange - March 6, 2004 10:29 PM (GMT)
Personally I don't care much, and I'm not a "shipper" at all persay. I would be very surprised, shocked even, if Rowling added a homosexual element to her books. It would definetly stir up some controversy all over the world, that's for sure. As for cute couples, I'll jump on the bandwagon and vote Ron and Hermione. I agree with Lazarus, though, with Harry. I've always said that Harry isn't the kind of guy who needs a girl by his side to add to his character. He's absolutely like Frodo in the sense that he's separated from this world, and all that goes with it, besides friendship. He's got his own agenda, and the sidekicks would be cute together.
star22 - March 13, 2004 03:42 AM (GMT)
I voted for Harry/Hermione. It is my OTP and the only ship that I am totally sure will be canon. I also like Ron/Luna and Neville/Ginny. However, H/Hr, in my opinion, is perfect. Romances that develop from frienship are the best. I really do not like bickering love or love/hate relationships. They are too much like media romances and not much like real life ones.
Anyways, H/Hr is the best ship.
:harry: :inlove: :hermione:
all4snuffles - March 13, 2004 08:27 PM (GMT)
I chose harry and ginny....by the way...what does h/p stand for?
bluejeanbaby - March 13, 2004 11:02 PM (GMT)
I'm guessing Harry/Pansy (like that would ever happen)
Blue
all4snuffles - March 15, 2004 07:09 PM (GMT)

That's ok, I don't mind really!
all4snuffles - March 16, 2004 06:50 PM (GMT)
ok, but i'll try to keep my pervertedness to HoH in the common room and such
grintsgurl16 - March 16, 2004 07:12 PM (GMT)
I think that only ship to follow if D/Hr. It may seem far fetched, but it makes the most sense. Harry and Ron don't really even like Hermione, romantically anways. I think that Draco always has it out for Hermione is because he likes her, and he likes him too . I mean think about it he always goes out of his way to think up something to say to Hermione. It's always the same old stuff for Harry and Ron. I think they're totally crushing on each other.
all4snuffles - March 16, 2004 07:17 PM (GMT)
Yeah, but Hermione is a mudblood. maybe thats the reason he is always taking it out on her
rupert4eva - March 17, 2004 05:14 PM (GMT)
In that live webchat JK Rowling did, she specificlly said that Draco and Hermione would not end up together!
~Just Another Dreamer~ - March 17, 2004 11:33 PM (GMT)
You're right. She did say that...but we can DREAM, can't we. I absolutely love Draco and Hermione times a million. It would be the best. He's evil, she's perfect. Think of the fun!
all4snuffles - March 19, 2004 02:04 AM (GMT)
you know most evil or naughty guys go for the goody good girls so they can make them bad
rupert4eva - March 19, 2004 06:49 PM (GMT)
Hum, I doubt that would happen to me.... well, I have been called a boff and goody-goody before.
all4snuffles - March 21, 2004 07:50 PM (GMT)
yeah well. here in the US, if you don't do any drugs, and don't have sex...you are a goody goody...so I'm a goody goody.
