I was walking towards Cults when i saw a strange light in the sky,it seemed to be changing colour from white to red and yellow and flickering.It looked some distance away but it was real bright and the appox height of an average aircraft except it was not moving.I observed an aircraft probably a Jet moving towards it real fast,the jet appeared to give it a wide berth.The reason i believe the aircraft to be a Jet is one the speed it was travelling and their are no aircraft land at Aberdeen Airport after 22.00,the object however was unmoved and the Jet dissapeared into the horizon.I continued to observe the object for a further ten minutes before it suddenly Vanished.Later that night one of my friends Dean Hewwit phoned me and told me he saw it too and heard it being mentioned on the radio.I was not a believer of UFOs but after that night i sure am now and allways checking for it again....

I feel I must write and tell you and others of my experience, and beg anyone else to share there experience if it has happened to them.My partner took me away this weekend for a birthday treat. We stopped in a cottage in a very remote part of Aberdaron, North Wales to get away from it all. On our last night we let our fireworks off, as we had saved them to go away with, the intention was to let them off on the beach but it was too far and too dark to walk down the winding tracks. At this point I feel it only fair to say we had both had a glass of wine but were not drunk. After letting off the fireworks we retuned to the cottage and watched some TV. As usual I fell asleep and my partner woke me up to go to bed. The cottage had 3 bedrooms, 1 downstairs and 2 upstairs they were kind of loft conversions with skylights upstairs. You could only see the sky due to the angle of the skylights. We were away for 3 nights, the first night we slept in the downstairs bedroom and the latter 2 nights in the upstairs bed as it seemed more comfortable. The skylights had net on them but no blackout screens. It was about 10pm when we went to bed. The experience happened after 2am I know, because the dog started moaning and my partner got up to let her out at about 2am because I asked the time. We both went back to sleep, when this strange thing happened. I remember waking up and wondering what the hell was going on, at first I thought we had had another powercut and my partner was shining a torch around the bedroom looking for something until I realised she was next to me spark out. I know it sounds stupid but I was too scared to wake her up. I tried not to move, but to rationalise things. I realised the light was not of a torch because it was all over the walls I was facing, like lots of bright dots, like the reflection of one of those old disco balls in the middle of the dance floor. I put my head under the quilt thinking it must be a dream. I stretched my leg to feel for the dog (she always sleeps on the bed) and she was not there. When I peaked out again the lights were still there so I put my head under the quilt again, at this point I thought it must be from a car or something in the distance, though from the angle of the skylights and the lack of roads and streetlights I knew I was really edging my bets. When I peaked again the lights had stopped, along with my heart, but the room was glowing a soft red, this time I just kept looking, I could also make out that there was an orange like colour flitting around the room very slowly in a circular motion, like that of a motorway maintenance vehicle. There was a very slight thud noise, then it was gone and the room was in total darkness. Then the bed jolted nearly giving me heart failure, but thank God it was only the dog getting back on the bed, she had obviously been under the bed or at the base.I know I did not really see anything, if I am honest I was too frightened to get out of bed and look directly out of the skylight where the light was coming from. Perhaps it was all a dream, but I can say if it had not been our last night at the cottage, it would have been after that experience.

I Steped ot the back of my friends house to have a cig and looked up at the night sky.It was a pretty clear night sky and i could see the stars brightly.Next thig i saw three lights slightly bigger than the stars and rougly the same size as aeroplane lights . They were perfectly in line not like a plane and moving to fast to be a plane, slighly orange in colour and completly SILENT.I Know that this was not a plane because one passed over my head several minutes later and i could here it .i can't exlain wot i saw but it was no plane or weather baloon or any of that other crap .If anyone else saw anything like wot i have descrbed please e mail me

I WAS OUTSIDE MY HOUSE JUST LOOKING UP AT THE STARS WHEN ONE STARTED TO MOVE. IT WASNT AN AIRPLANE BECAUSE IT WASNT MAKING ANY SOUNDS OR THERE WASNT ANY BLINKING LIGHTS AND IT WAS TOO HIGH UP. After watching the firework display across the river Tay on Tuesday night, I was about to get in my car and head home. As I was still facing the river I suddenly heard a loud explosion behind me. It turned out to be some locals in a garden behind me letting off fireworks. As I turned back to face the river i witnessed a very dark object move slowly over head at around 20ft from the ground. The objects shape looked like a semi circle shape (perhaps like a dome or the top of a mushroom) and had large etched markings that looked strangely like daisies. I remained transfixed as this object glided passed very slowly and totally silently. However another firework was set off nearby and flashed over the object for about a second. I could swear the object was a scarlet red colour and had indented etchings that looked like a yellow coloured flower. I was so enthralled in this spectacular that I never thought to shout to the nearby locals to exact any sightings they may have made. Suddenly the object ommitted the most mysterious of sounds. It was like a screaching girl at ten times the pitch and lasted about two seconds before the object stopped gliding and suddenly just shot up vertically into the night sky. The sky was still very clear but the object was gone after about five seconds and I looked at my watch. The time was 22:04 and I cannot account for the length of time I was there. I immediately looked behing me to find there were no longer people in one of the gardens behind me and am very puzzled about this. I wonder if anyone else was in the area around this time and witnessed this or me. I was beside a white Ford Fiesta (E reg).

while sitting in the car my friend and i where discussing about his regular sightings of ufos in complete day light and how brave they are becoming at showing themselfs more regular.itold him they where aircraft as we where getting deeper into our conversasion.suddenly my friend david leaned over the front windscreen pointed up into the sky and said theres one looking up icouldent see it at fist. then i saw the object high in the sky telling him it was still aircraft suddenly a small plane past above from our small local airport.thene thousands of feet above that we saw another aircraft traveling very fast and you could see the jet stream left behind it.thene david said look its trying to intercept it as the aircraft got closer the object disapeared completly now i thing am starting to beleive

Me and my friend are skateboarders. When we were skating down my street, my friend was a while in front of me. I looked up and looked at the stars for a while. Then I saw two stars very close together, I looked more careful and i saw it turn orange, it went back to two white lights and sped off at a VERY fast speed (560-600mph???)and dissapeared in a small flash. My other friend lives up the hill from me, we had no contact that night but he saw it as well, another boy saw it as well, I had no contact with him.

My son observed what he called a 'shooting star' moving across space. It was moving towards the East but was going too slowly to be a shooting star so we continued to watch. It changed direction and headed south. From our prespective it appeared to be heading straight for another star. My son's girlfriend was with us and she said 'They're going to collide!' At that moment the stationary star appeared to flash. A few seconds later there was another flash and the star we were watching vanished. Is there an explanation in astronomy?

I was the passenger in a car traveling westbound on B936 approaching Fruechie. I spotted a silver sphere about one kilometer north of the road. It was approximately 200-300 feet above a farmers field. It was motionless. At first I thought it was a hot air ballon, and pointed it out to the three other occupants of the car. The other two passengers also saw it. The driver did not, as he was busy driving. The object then began moving eastward horizontally at between 70-100 MPH. The time from visual detection to loss of sight only lasted 20-30 seconds. The weather was partly cloudy with some high clouds, but the visibily was unlimited below 5000 ft. The Ordnance Survey grid coordinate for the grid sqare where the sighting occurred is NO 2907. This is near the intesection of roads B936 and A92. As the object moved eastward I lost sight of it near the village of Kettlebridge. It was clearly below the level of the hill east of that village. I estimate its size to be approximately between 20 feet to 50 feet in diameter and perfectly spherical. I am a former US Army Captain, Pilot and Police Officer. Thanks, Jimmy R. Haagenson

This happened one night after I was dropped of at home after working till Midnight. I had recently bought a telescope and was very interested in the sky at night, late last year was a great time to see Jupiter, Saturn & Mars. Jupiter being so large vas quite bright in the night sky and easy to find with the naked eye. I had just been dropped of from my work mates car and was looking to Jupiter while walking up my driveway. I realised that there was something very much brighter than Jupiter in close proximity of Jupiter. It was moving very slowly towards my location looking almost like a low flying jet lit up with its landing lights. I turned around and walked back out of my drive as a tree in my garden was partially blocking the view to the object whenall of a sudden it just dissapeared. I am sure it was no plane as it would not have just turned all of its lights off and the whole time there was no noise of any jet engines.

Saw a bright white light,slighty bigger than a star move across the sky at a very fast speed,my husband spotted one behind,i looked and saw it too,this one was following the other one.This was on an amazingly clear night,not one cloud in the sky,i thought they could be sattelites.eventually they got so far away we could'nt see them anymore.About 5 mins later we spotted another one,then another,by the time 15 mins had passed we counted 8,all going in different directions this time.These objects had no red lights like airplanes,but they were going way to fast to be planes anyhow.Did anyone else see these?

i left the house to walk the dog on a regular route near the Avon Valley and playing fields near carlisle road.I turned off the main road to walk through a tarmacced piece of waste ground to get towards the playing fields.i usually look skywards to see whats happening and noticed to my left a dull red light in the sky this was moving and i noticed another above it.this was coming over rural ground and was clearly not a plane,helicopter or usual craft.at this point i noticed a third dull light making a triangle which was moving in unusual pattern.there was no sound other than a low whoosh.the outline between the lights completed the craft and i was amazed to watch this "cartwheel" past me and into the distance heading towards the m 74 motorway.prior to this there was a strange atmosphere and a feeling that something was about to happen.i have an interest in this phenemona and within second of witnessing the two red lights was aware that this was a flying traingle/wedge and could not in my knowledge have been anything else.a totally amazing if not quite disturbing experience.

From my living room window looking South West I observed 5 stationary lights going from right to left slightly above the horizon There were 2 yellow circular lights one above each other, to the left of those were another 2 similar lights, to the left of those in line with the top lights was a single light. The first two lights to the right disappeared, another single light appeared to the left of the single light. The two remaining lights plus the single light to the left of those two disappearing lights then disappeared.Then three lights appeared in a horizontal line. The first one to the right then disappeared, ten seconds later the second one to the left disappeared, about fifteen seconds later the last light disappeared. My wife saw the last two lights dissappear. This is from a person who does not beleive in u.f.o sightings. However this has caused me some concern. My wife and I saw a craft flying from East to west in an erratic fashion. Initially I thought it was something on fire. It was cone shaped. I went outside to see if it was a helicopter but it definately wasn't as there was no noise at all. It continued flying East below the cloud level and then suddenly dissappeared. It was low flying and I think I could best describe it as looking like the space shuttle re-entering the earth, although it's path was more undulating.

On the Friday night I was walking the dog and was distracted by a very large "shooting star" and would certainly put this sighting down to a shooting star. However this of course sparked an interest in looking up over the next couple of nights especially as there were clear skies and as there are no more houses after mine the sky is very dark. I was very surprised on the sunday to see even more interesting things. At first glance I thought I saw a normal star, albeit it was moving slowly. However then I saw another one and another and finally 4 were around. They were star size so were not the planes I am used to seeing around the area. Also they were not moving in a straight line but had a wavering "circling" type of pattern. I watched for about 10 minutes and then I just lost sight of them.

Saw what at first glance appeared to be a large star, but realised it was moving slowly accross the sky. It did not travel in a completely straight line, "weaving" slightly from side to side. It appeared to slow down at one point, but did not come to a stand still. This disproved my first thought, which was that it may have been a meteorite. In addition, I can also say that there was no "tail" or trail left in it's wake, nor did it at any time lose altitude. The light from the object was not constant and dimmed very slightly from time to time. There was no sound of any kind and most imporatanty, there were no flashing navigation lights, like those found under the feuselage of an aircraft. It's impossible to ascertain it's height because it was dark, but after 30 or 40 seconds of watching it, the object disappeared into low cloud. I lost sight of it after that.

Travelling south along main A9 at 19.25 glimsed something in the corner of my eye. Looked again and saw a red and green light, like aircraft landing lights, but they were just above the tree line, was travelling at speed, checked road ahead and looked back, between the red and green light were what looked like windows, like an airliner with all its lights on, orange light coming from them, checked road ahead again, it had gone, no noise was heard at any time.I am ex RAF, into plane spotting, haven't seen anything like this before.

It was on january 5th 2002 at around 20:40hrs as the waterboard van arrived. I had phoned them because we had a foul smell eminating from the buildings drains. The bloke came to my door and i explained the situation to him so, he left to check the rear of the house. I stayed in the house as it was cold and looked out my hall window to see a crystal clear sky outside. I was looking at the star constellation 'the plough' at its uppermost star, when something caught my eye. The lowermost star seemed to totally disappear, I quickly focused on this to see star re-appear, and something else caught my eye. Moving at a constant velocity, was, what seemed to be a dark object with lots of small dim lights, but a very peculiar in shape! The lights were in rows but in a staggered "< "shape. There were no red or green flashing lights to indicate that it was an aircraft!? I called my wife "come and have a look at this..quick!" she promptly came through from the living room. I pointed the object out to her as I followed it cruise through the sky. But' she couldn't see it as her sight wasn't fixated for distance as mine was. I kept on trying to point it out, but, it was hopeless as it was moving towards the street light outside my house. The object the disappeared into the night sky..

I was watching tv and occasionally glancing out of a large bay window in our house which overlooks wigtown bay. It was quite a clear night and there were many stars out in the sky. On one particular occasion I looked out and I thought that I could see something very high up. Initially I thought that it was a plane but it was so high and small and did not seem to be travelling in any particular direction. I stood up and looked closer out of the window and observed what looked like tiny stars but they were moving around each other in a trianglular shape, darting in and out of each other but staying in the same area. they were very very high up and sometimes I lost sight of them amoungst all of the stars in the night sky. I observed them for about 5 mins and then they just vanished. They did not fly off anywhere they just dissapeared. I do not know what they were but I do not think they were stars or shooting stars.
