UFO over Gardenstown – Almost every week now come reports of mysterious objects being seen throughout the North-east. The latest comes from Gardenstown.

On Friday night, a number of people in the village reported having seen a bright object, described as cigar-shaped with a round bulge at the point, moving across the sky shortly before dusk. It was so bright, it was alleged, that it was seen moving through heavy banks of cloud which were scudding about the sky at the time.

One of the spotters told the Banffshire Journal: "I first noticed the object about 4.30pm. It was fairly high up and seemed to be moving very slowly in a southerly direction towards Turriff. I watched it for about 15 minutes, and then it disappeared amid a shower of coloured sparks. Before this I took the 'flying saucer' stories with a pinch of salt. I believe them now."

Several minutes after its disappearance, the object reappeared several miles south of its former position, and seemed to be moving at high speed. The spotters had it in view for about a minute before it disappeared into the distance.

Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner but i've been busy i've tried searching for this sighting online and can't seem to find anything other than what i've already posted so unfortunately I don't have a date for this one.

Thanks anyway. I am from round about that area, I might be able to find out more about it though it is funny how often these sort of articles come up that say there have been a lot of sightings but you can never find mention of the other sightings!
