Title: Amiga Games
Description: Will DigiWorld be reviewing them?

spacemachine47 - July 14, 2003 05:18 PM (GMT)
Well?
Will Messrs Biffo, Campbell, Gillen and that Nash fellow be reviewing them?

DIGIWORLD_RevStu - July 14, 2003 05:57 PM (GMT)
That's it, we quit.

DIGIWORLD_MrBiffo - July 14, 2003 06:00 PM (GMT)
Speak for yourself, Herr Campbell. I shall be reviewing them. With my bottom.

NOT-DIGIWORLD'S VERDICT

Hmm, sorry - what was the question again?
73%

THAT SCORE IN FULL
+24% Pressing T in IK+.
-1% Purple alien levels in Cannon Fodder 2.

truemetaluk - July 14, 2003 07:08 PM (GMT)
There are some classic amiga games about but what's the point of reviewing 15 year old games?

How about reviewing homebrew DC stuff etc instead?

AN_D_K - July 14, 2003 07:10 PM (GMT)
Is this where we mention that the Dreamcast should be catered for too? Or should we use other methods of denial?

nekta - July 14, 2003 07:19 PM (GMT)
yay i love the biffo! this place is gonna rule!

Shhhh, don't mention that around the Rev! He'll get all Sensible on us!

A ha ha ha ha, ha.

Taxi!

He was just ahead of his time man: it took until 1999's Half-Life before another game would eschew its initial thrillingly gritty urban shooty action setting in favour of pace-destroying, grotesquely purple moons with camp looking "alien flowers" on them.

Actually, nevermind.

You crazy damn fool. Open your eyes and you'll see a wealth of new Amiga stuff coming out soon. Loads of games. So many that I won't even bother to mention them. The machine has a great future ahead of it - need I mention Babylon 5 or the Aweb browser that allows you to use the intermanet better than a PC? No? Good.

DJpubRock - July 14, 2003 09:54 PM (GMT)
More pertinent is the question of whether letters will be published, say once or twice a year, proclaiming that a new Amiga is being developed, and when once released, will destroy all in its path.

Burai - July 14, 2003 10:19 PM (GMT)
There is actually a new Amiga out there and it is rather impressive. Very good in fact.

The problem is that it's very expensive and doesn't have anything worth playing/using on it.

Still if you hate Microsoft enough, you should buy one. A guy at work did. Actually he only did the first part - the hate bit. The rest of it he won't do for reasons "unknown"... But it will still kick the PC's ass and Amiga will rule again apparently.

And I have no reason to doubt him what with him putting his money where his mouth is and all. Well, his mouth where his mouth is...

The_Rugged_Kentishman - July 15, 2003 12:36 AM (GMT)
Well I, for one, am glad there's no Amiga games scene, because if there were, the Reverend Campbell would try and KILL it, by giving games scores of below 80%, and insulting games that hard working developers have spent hours of their time on, for piffling little reasons like the game not working, and being unplayable.

Thank God for that. Heard about that new CD32 project? AAAAHHHH!

You know, this is the wonderful world of the internet, Biffo. You don't have to say bottom any more (bubblegun.com notwithstanding...)

Fact: The Rev brutally bludgeoned the Amig0r games scene, him and his EVIL AMIG0R POWER CRONIES! Tsk... Those crazy kids and their vendettas.

Am I the only one who can't think of AP without imagining the folk at Team 17 shaking their collective fist in an 'I hate you Butler' style-ee? In fact, I'm imagining it right now. Oh yes.

(Pressing 'T' in IK+? Sir, I am this: Brimming with childish glee.)

Speaking of Amiga power, what's Gary Penn up to these days?

HA HA HA HA! I told myself that for about 5 years too. Lost count of how many times I told myself - ooh, new amiga next year and a port of Quake to look forward to!

It's OVER! And it's been over since 1995!

We're you being sarcastic?

Last heard of still living in domestic bliss in Scotland and working on GBA games for Denki. Or is it Genki? I always get those two confused.

I loved my Amiga's. One fell down the back of the couch, and I lost the other one in a game of tiddlywinks with some gypsies. I'm sure it was fixed!
