Title: Today I got: Animal Crossing and Wario Ware
Description: Hurrah!
sausageandbun - August 7, 2003 05:19 PM (GMT)
First things first, following digi's ramming down my throat of wario ware, I stopped waiting to be able to afford a gba sp and just bought it anyway for my normal gba. And man, it's the best game purchase I've made in years. But we all know that now anyway right? Cheers Digi. Nuff said.
Now to Animal Crossing, I've only played it for a short while, but how a game can be so enjoyable when you seem to do nothing other than walk and talk a bit i don't know. Man it's great. What do you lot think? If you have it.
And erm, apparently I get a special present from nintendo on the free memory card I got with the game. Thing is this: How do I get my mitts on it?
Also this, how do I get the NES? And any of you want to send me stuff by this codey-me-thing? You do? Great!
My name is this: Bensam
My town is this: El Caba

I got mildy addicted to it when my flatmate startedplaying it I had to setup a house to rival him. My interest died rather quickly.
I did try to form a lesbian relationship with one of the characters, who later kept sending me notes saying "stop feaking me out". I kept stalking her and eventually she started to bring me into her confidence.

I got AC a few months ago and hardly a day goes by that I don't play.
You get a NES per NES game. You should already have two games if you used the memory card supplied with it. Just check your inbox.

I stopped playing AC a couple of days ago when I broke my arm.
I tried it today with one arm, only to see 200 turnips go for a fantastic 980 bells a turp.
I am happy-oh-so.

So anyway, you want to send me things don't you?

You can thank me later. If it doesn't work, try changing '0' to a capital letter o. The game makes absolutly no distinction between the two.

Presumably you're playing an American import of AC with Freeloader... Where would you recommend getting AC and Freeloader from?
Also, does the bundled memory card have any kind of special US formatting? Any issues with transferring saved games, etc.?
shogun2k - August 7, 2003 11:38 PM (GMT)
US and Pal Mem cards use the same format, there is no problems there (for jap games you will need a different card or have to format your pal one).
try
www.dvdboxoffice.com they are very cheap for imports. Viewtiful joe and most new gc stuff for £22

i got mine from
Cd Wow£35 inc free post, and is quicker than dvd box office.
Not sure if they have freeloader, but they do have action replay, which is better I think as you can unlock certain stuff if you wanted, also it'll play newer games like f zero.
and yes, like he says, the memory card works fine.
And giant frying pan, you're ace. I ain't checked my pressies yet as Nooksy's closed but I will do. Love you!

Check out gamefaqs.com , they spoil it by having universal codes for everything ;).
You can also buy Cube magazine for £4 which has a freeloader esque cheat disc, not sure if its EXACTLY like freeloader, but I assume its virtually identical.

Thanks for your advice - one more thing:
I've seen contradictory things about NTSC/60Hz. As I understand it, for Freeloader, you need a 60Hz TV but not NTSC support, because the Cube is still outputting PAL. Is that right? Is it the same deal with Action Replay?
Cheers.

I think that you'll get the game in Black & White with that set-up. I haven't seen it in colour yet, having only tried it out on a friend of mine's set-up.
As soon as the student loan comes in, I'm getting a new TV.

I use the AC-enabled CUBE disc. It does a few other cheaty things for different games, but I don't use them.

AC's ok, but it can loose it's appeal pretty quickly. The only thing that kept me going for so long was my vendetta against one of the animals who just annoyed the PRETTY FLOWER out of me. Holes dug outside it's house, rubbish left outside it's house, hate mail. If I could have burnt the bastards house down I would have. Cocky little shit.
Ha ha Virtual Vendettas, there the future I've seen it!

Are you 100% sure of this? ;)

Crossing is great fun so long as you don't try and 'complete it' in a few sittings. Dip into it every day and see what's new and it should maintain your interest.
