Is there more stuff that gets revealed if I pay?

You have to pay to NOT get those. Nothing new is revealed for cash until the weekend, but Special Friends can read the previous days of the current week. (ie on Thursday you could look back at Monday's pages, for some reason, which cheapskate freeloading paupers will not be able to do.)

Can you only pay with NoChex or PayPal, then?

Actually I've just discovered a bit of an internal misunderstanding about that. You can't currently read the "back" weekdays until the Saturday edition comes out. Hmm. We'll look into the technical issues some more.

I pay £4 a month for Edge and Games™ when I don't really like them much, so I'm happy to sign up. I think I'm only going to buy print mags if they've got a decent DVD or demo disk on the front from now on.

Actually, I have read the TR/Witchblade Crossover, since one copy arrived in my office when I was in Gamer. So bad that, throughout, the character was named as "Lara Croft".
