I was thinking, wouldn't Ron be just the guy to go to Voldamort(can't spell right now).I mean he's always Jelous of Harry, and he hates being poor and underclass, i think Harry fame could drive him to the dark side by the time this is over. Also think of his love for Hermione that she doesn't even notice.

I think you have a point. But Ron has already fought agains Voldy. I don't think Voldy will like that. But he will know that Ron would be fighting Harry because of jelousy or hatred. So it might work. :kitty:

Well Ron has never really fought The Dark Lord, just heard of his power.

Tonks - August 15, 2003 09:39 PM (GMT)
I mean really that he has fought against him not personally. But sorry if i didn't make that clear. Ron help get some of his Death Eaters locked up, even though he went into hysterics and got a brain in his face (well body). :kitty:

I am not sure about that. I think Ron has a great friendship with Harry and I dont think he would give it up .

I agree with *Sasha*, and would also like to add that I don't believe Ron will go over to the Dark Side simply because there is no need for him to. If, for example, as I've read on another board (Can't remember which one at the moment), that Ron goes over to the Dark Side because he suddenly gets really jealous of Harry or wants to do something to prove his worth, then I will quit reading the books. Ron is a good character, and will not go over to the Dark Side!

I understand both points here. One must look at the way normal friendships work though. Have you never gotten mad or jealous of your friends? If it was enough so you may have even did something to get back at them. Ron would be the perfect target for Voldemort. He is Harry's best friend and knows the most about him. He also has other things in his life working against him. Ron's desire to achieve as seen in the Mirror of Erised could be Ron's undoing. It must be considered even if it is not likely.

Peter Pettigrew trading sides didn't seem likely either. Hermione is to head strong and Neville would have too much against the dark side to ever turn to it. If it follows the Marauders then Ron is the traitor. He is not the most magically inclined either although others would point to Longbottom. He seems to be growing into his powers. It is all just speculation and is to be had fun with. We won't really know until the next book comes out so there is my 7 sickles worth. Hanna

I couldnt really see that happening.. I mean even though Ron gets jeolous of Harry i dont think he would go join the dark side.. I just cant see him doing that.. I mean he wont even speak his name, how could he go join him.. lol that would be kinda funny.. "Oh He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named! I WANT TO JOIN YOUR SIDE!! Yeah, i know i was Harrys best friend.. Yeah i know that im in Gryffindor.. and YES i know im not your typical looking deatheater but i WANT TO BE ON UR SIDE!!" lol
