OK, so I got the Chex Quest 3 PWAD from Home of the Underdogs and patched my DOOM Legacy up. OK, so I start the game. It doesn't seem as bad as I think at first, then I start looking around, and I just flat out have to say...

WTF?!?!

First of all, when they write "Chex," they don't even use the right font.

Second--why are there Chex Warrior clones trapped in Flem all over the place? I mean, I can understand trapped Cereal People, but why are they all Chex Warriors?

Third: The textures. Oh Gawd, the textures. They are so messed up it's not funny.

Four: Weapons. The shotgun looks completely unchanged from DOOM whatever. The Chaingun/Rapid Zorcher is different (why change it?).

Five: skybox is very unChexy.

Six: Just weird use of stuff, stuff in the wrong place, flat out BAD level design.

I heard somewhere that this was completely stolen from another mod, and the new Flemouid (which I haven't seen yet) was stolen from a Ghostbusters mod. Then I heard it was a beta put up on the Chex Quest site between the time CQ2 was released and whenever it went down.

Which is true (or are both true?) and just, generally, WTF is up?

I beleive that's one PWAD in the recycle bin.

Uhhhh heheh....man lemme explain....
"Chex Quest 3" Is nothing but a bunch of stolen maps from doom co-op mega-wads. Once this was discovered, many chex quest sites that supported all three removed Chex quest 3 from their site. It's pretty much the same thing as what "science fiction studios" tried to do with that fake combo pack and stole the credit for doom legacy while they were at it.

PSH! No, chex quest 3 was totally unofficial. It was fan-"made"

and put up on a Fan-Made CQ site as well, NOT the official CQ site [now defunct]

As for the slimed chex warriors, it's just the corpse sprite for the player character. If you've played DooM, especially E1, you've seen all the dead marines. It's the same sorta thing ^_^

Ah, I thought I read on Underdogs that it was on the CQ site.

I know but MAN--it's like whoever made that crappy little PWAD really wanted you to know you were playing a Chex game (yeah right).

I thought the same thing about that dumb pwad. It stunk a rotten egg. I played it once, closed it quickly, and that was it.
