Title: E2M2: Cinema
Description: A silly question...

I know this is a somewhat silly question, but what does the red keycard in E2M2 do? There is no red door... or is there? From what I can remember, there is no red door.

And, Boingo: what are you doing with Cinema in your TUCQ project? Are you going to scrap the original level and recreate a whole new level, but keep the underlying theme, or are you just going to add on to the original Cinema level?

It's weird actually, but in order to obtain the Red Key, you must walk over a linedef that opens a hidden door along the alley you walk through in the begging which leads you to the yellow key. So uh...the in a way, getting the red key automatically opens a door...if that makes sense

That does make sense! Wow, that's probably the effect that the original map-makers were trying to convey! I honestly never got that. This level is a lot better now.

Couldn't they just have a switch or something in one of the theaters???
BTW Boingo. are you going to replace the movies that play in the cinema? it would be cool to have on the movie screen a advertisment of Deimwolf or something like that.

TUCQ is supposed to be kid-friendly, so a Deimwolf advertisement wouldn't really work. It could be a mini-movie/advertisement of different, non-violent sorts, though. :)

The red key is a uselss folly. There is no door to go with it. It is only there to trick the player into woalking over a linedef that opens a secret area in which the yellow key is hidden.

I am scrapping the original level. It stinks.

I am, albeit slowly, working on a replacement cinema level.
