Title: Birdy the Mighty Decode
Description: SEXY ACTION

Paste - July 16, 2008 07:38 AM (GMT)
This is a currently airing anime where basically, an intergalactic officer named Birdy Cephon Altera accidentally kills a young boy named Tsutomu Senkawa in the middle of a mission on earth. Rather than leaving him dead, she merges her body with his, so the two live on as one until his body is fully healed. It's also a retelling of the 90's OVA

It's totally awesome so far. The action sequences are really nice, it reminds me of a Gainax anime. I would get screenshots but I'm lazy so I'll just post the main characters.

Here we have Birdy Cephon Altera, the sexy intergalactic officer, and also the main female protagonist of the series.

And here we have Tsutomu Senkawa the... heroic male protagonist.

WATCH IT. Seriously, the only other person I see watching here I think is Phil. More people need to watch it.

My friend loves it and demands that I watch it because it has Chiba Saeko. Maybe I will eventually. :P

Actually, it's an adaption of a current manga series that is a retelling of an 80s manga. B)

But yeah, it rocks. It's my Friday night fun.

And it does have Chiba Saeko, so there is no excuse to not be watching it.

I guess I'm watching it, I finished Kurenai and I needed something new to watch!

The ED is even by afromania, if that makes it even closer to another Gainax anime. :P

I was about to say that the art style reminded me a lot of Abenobashi, or maybe Gurren-Lagann with a bigger budget. :o

I really liked the first episode myself. I got a real 90's vibe from it, and the flashy animation made it even better.

I've kinda been slow to download the other episodes, though. Looks like BitTorrent will be a'workin' tomorrow.

Only raw of three sucks rooster.

Hey guys, tomorrow is the final episode. B)

It's been a sweet ride, and it hopefully hold up at the end.

Agreed. I had hoped Shyamalan would still be around in the last episode, but what are ya going to do.

I also hope the art quality takes a step up, but I won't complain if it doesn't.

Good show, but needed more Tute. :(

. . . And Arita Shion.

So I finally got around to finishing up the series. I really enjoyed it, and it was a lot of fun. As sad as they make me I really do enjoy bittersweet endings, and Tsutomu being back in Birdy's body makes me excited for the second season. (I would use a grinning smilie here, but I don't want to give off any sense of enjoyment in the spoiler >>)

All and all I'd say..... SECOND SEASON WHEN??

Was I the only person who had issues with those robots in the first episode?

Robots?

Let me think for a while....

...

Oh, yeah. Those guys. The cannon fodder.

Aside from Ondine, you really don't get robots again.

Well, what put me off was when they started clanking around like robots in a 1950's film for no reason, when they're the guy's bodyguards who are supposed to blend into society along with him.
