Uh, wow. Very early indeed. You could have made this thread a little later, since Holiday is 20 days away.

Well, most local department stores have been in christmas mood since the end of october so it almost seems appropiate.
Tyketsu - December 5, 2007 05:48 PM (GMT)
We guys here in Holland have another holiday before Christmas, today actually and yet people are already hanging up Christmas decorations in their houses, I mean I can understand you like the coseyness and all , but aren't you sick of looking at the decorations for an entire month? D:

I know I'd be.
At my house we generally don't start decorating until mid December.
One year recently the tree didn't go up until the 23rd-24th.

One year Christmas Eve rolled around and we suddenly realised we didn't even have a tree yet, so my mother and I had to go on a mad search around town for a last minute Christmas tree. Since then we've never left it that late again, but like above, it's usually around mid-month.
bakajin - December 5, 2007 06:07 PM (GMT)
We have our own trees in our yard, so we don't have to worry about that part.

Well, we used to.
Haven't gotten new ones for a while, so the remaining ones are really tall now. Last year was the first year in forever that we went out and got a tree.

A Christmas thread a month early? Man has Wonderland ever sold out or what? :(
will be back to spread cheer on the 25th, etc.

You left out the part where you and mom stole one! :P
If I had my way I'd have a tree up at the beginning of December. I love seeing Christmas decorations and I like to have lots of time to enjoy them.

If I had money, I would buy everyone on the forum an electric blanket for Christmas.

I'd be happier with a blanket that will guarantee a full night's sleep... :(
Also I am not tired of seeing decorations yet, myself. I mean, it was my idea to persuade my parents to put up the tree this weekend, as a way to promote them to stop putting everything off till the very last minute as usual . But even though I'm relatively apathetic about Christmas (not saying that I am not the least bit excited, I'm just less so than I was several years ago), I like the effect it has on people. Makes them a little more cheerful, courteous, kind-hearted, positive, etc., and that even rubs off on my usually crummy mood :P.
Ryuu - December 5, 2007 08:56 PM (GMT)
My mother has put up so many decorations that the room I usually sleep in is as lit up as it is during the day due to the sheer amount of lights. If only Christmas lights gave off enough heat to make a room warmer... :P

Yeah, me too. Even though everything is being done earlier, I love seeing people decorating for the holidays, even if it's so early. Driving around, I've come to know how houses decorate in their own certain way, and goes way too overboard when it comes to decorating. :P
The Christmas theme in general is my favorite kind of theme. Red and green are among my favorite colors, and I love holiday-themed everything. Drinks, TV specials, music, fanart, etc. I think the early snow is putting me in a real Christmas mood, too. :D

Christmas TV specials? Ewwwwwwwwww!
But I do enjoy Christmas themed fanart.
Them girl-style Santa outfits....

The only one I watch is the local Christmas Telethon. And only for the entertainers that perform on it. This year's was rather lackluster, though. Even a friend of mine who I'm eyeing as a vocalist for my band was kinda off that night :(
The other thing I like about Christmas is... well... it's WINTER. And winter is a really pretty-looking season .

More like Winter is a cold cold cold cold so cold season.
And it's cold. And getting colder.
I think I am going to become a bear for a few months.

motorola_otaku - December 5, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
We've hung Christmas lights on our house the weekend after Thanksgiving since Reagan was in the White House.
I can't figure on having a tree for the entire month of December, though, unless you get a fake one. And fake trees suck. :P

They were playing Christmas music in Rocky's and it was... despicable. Not like "Deck the Halls". This was new-ish, by one of them lady singers they have now. But they followed it up with BNL, which was odd but fine.

How? Veoh has superior quality, avatars on accounts, has a better layout, and allows over 30min uploads. I want to know how Youtube is better, it doesn't seem to be good at all.
