I'm much quieter and more reserved off line, as anyone who has met me can vouch for.

I'm just as random as I am online , and I do talk alot when I'm with friends :P

I think I'm pretty much the same either way. Probably not as talkative offline most of the time, though.

Yeah, the same is true for me, as well.

I tend to be really quiet when initially meeting people, but after I start talking, I think I'm pretty much like I am online.

My level of talkativeness really depends on who I'm around and what the circumstances are. Like, I can yap my head off around you guys, but I might not say 20 words during the course of a normal workday. The rest of my personality is pretty much spot-on identical between online and off-.

I'm about the same, I'd say. Well, sort of.

I wouldn't consider myself a very loud person in a lot of situations, but if I'm having a one on one conversation with someone, I can talk a lot. Even more if we share some interests.

I sometimes get branded as quiet at places like work and school because I'm quieter in a crowd and because the honest truth is that I don't really care about talking to casual aquaintances if we don't have anything to talk about.

I don't think you guys would ever have that problem though, because hey, I think we can agree that we all like anime in some capacity. ;)

Kinda. I'm less open about things that bother me, so I don't come off as being as much of a whiner as I think I do online sometimes. I'm a bit less talkative in person.

I also have the mouth of a sailor. But that's pretty normal around these parts.

It depends. Sometimes I'm a bit more uptight in real life, sometimes more laid back (depending on what goes on during the day), but I do tend to swear an awful lot. However in both cases I am a jokester and never afraid to make funny comments or speak my mind, and there's no denying that I'm a bit of an odd duck.

Verdict on whether I'm like my online persona: Eh.....maybe.

I think in real life I am pretty different than on the internet. I am more immature (or goofy whatever) and I use lots and lots of profane language. And also I came around to discover I am pretty racist IRL :unsure:

Man, it's almost like the internet brings out the GOOD things about us. It's had both positive and negative effects on me, for sure. I whine and cry about things a whole lot less offline. I think it comes down to the fact that we're all more willing to open up in writing. It's the sort of emotional disconnection of the internet that's actually caused me to be able to emotionally connect with people better here.

I'm nicer online, though. Has to do with the whole 'the written word is less expressive than the spoken,' so you gotta be more careful when talking online.

Except when I'm Anonymous. Then I don't give a thingy 'cause what I said previously can't be attributed to what I say next.

Also, I because internet and real life feel different, I still do the whole 'initially quiet, then start acting like a **** after a few months' thing that I probably should have gotten over online.

Seriously, the question I get asked the most at work is, "What happened? You used to be so nice and quiet and now you're just mean!"

I think I'm more talkative and annoying in real life, depending on the situation though. I try to keep more of a neutral state when I'm on the internet, avoiding conflict. :D

Let me try explaining deeper.

I am a jerk. I really am. However, I like people and I like being around people, so I don't want to push them away initially. So I tend to be quieter and politer when I meet someone so as to feel out just how far I can go. As time passes and I get better at properly judging what I can get away with, I fall into 'as much as a jerk as I can be without alienating myself,' routine.

I, too, am of the quiet tipe, especially in a groups of people that understand only one language. :P
I am also afraid that someday my inner jerk will come out again and I'll get into uncomfortable situations. This only adds to my nontalkativeness.

So since I don't talk that much I use a lot of hand gestures and facial expressions and often make no sense at all.

I've come to realize that I'm nice in person to just about everyone. Even people I don't really like.

Everyone who knows me can see that I can randomly get into a 15-minute conversation with a complete stranger. XD

I tend to be especially nice to people I don't like.

Except for the occasional lapse where my true feelings show and I really piss that person off.
