Title: What have you LEARNED today?
Description: Shocking, I know.

Kasuga Ayumu - January 19, 2006 02:24 AM (GMT)
Okay, so I learned something today, something interesting (I'll get to it later.), and it inspired me to do this.

Everyday, we learn something. Maybe not something on the magnitude of the high school or College Level, or even an educational system level, but we learn something. Little, itsy bitsy, seemingly useless tidbits of information that would seem useless to others, but to us, are plethoras of knowledge and ultimate power. Share your NaUP here! :o

I'll start with mine, quoted from the 'What Are you listening to now' thread.

QUOTE (Me! :o)

Okay, so Criminal Minds came on FOX after me, mom and dad were watching the new American Idol. So we decide to watch the beginning of it. Turns out, this episode was about how somehow, LSD was getting into people in town, and it caused this one guy to go insane when he and his son got a flat tire out in the middle of nowhere at night and caused him to wail on his son with a crowbar.

So then I remember seeing LSD in an.... *ahem* different kind of Azumanga Daioh game I'd played on NewGrounds. >.>

So I asked Dad about it, and I got to learn a little history on LSD.

Yes, this is all coming together. tongue.gif

So anyway, we get to talking, and dad's all; "It was ALSO the basis for a song by The Beatles called Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. tongue.gif Though the Beatles did deny it."

So what do you know, I learned something new today. tongue.gif

I learned that Koge-Donbo is not only the creator of Pita-Ten, but also the creator of Di Gi Charat. I should've been able to spot that right away due to the cuteness factor of both series, but hey, I didn't. And there it is in the back of Pita-Ten volume 1.

Methinks I should check out Di Gi Charat now...

Try open D minor (add9) tuning (low pitch to high pitch: D A D F A E) some time. Opeth used it on their song "Reverie/Harlequin Forest". Now that's a confusing and fun tuning to write with :P.
