not sure if there are a lot of people with 5th gen ludes
but i think a group buy for jdm fog lights would be great. :)

I can try to see about the JDM fogs. They're getting hard to find due to them being discontinued. I'll see what i can find if there are a few guys interested

I talked to a guy from a BC store named pole position products. They sell JDM fogs for $420... which is already a good price. Anyways, he said he'd be interested in a group buy but he wouldnt be able to drop the price that much.

yeah i was thinking of buying a set from them but decided to look
for a used set. 420 is crazy expensive for fog lights! but if it makes my car sexier i'll buy them ;)

my bad... i got them confused with someone from bc. I asked him for a group buy price for anywhere from 4-7 people. He hasnt replied yet.. I'll let you guys know when he does. But yea I agree, I wanted to find a set used too.. but they usually go for 350-400 anyways and they go FAST so i've had no luck.

I'm guessing we would get them shipped to one address... so it'd be roughly 10 bucks per person for shipping.

405+28.35+10= $443.35 give or take a few bucks for brand new JDM fogs. I'd say thats a pretty good deal. I'm not sure if we'd be able to get him to lower it a few more bucks or not.

Anyways.. I'd be interested but not for a month or two, i've got other priorities right now.

I dunno if any of you have heard of the forum www.preludepower.com or currently go on that forum, but there is a bunch of guys trying to set up a group buy for these foglights out of chicago. They're talking about 250-260 dollars american shipped. Right now i'm finding out exactly what it would cost extra to ship them to canada, but the guy doing it said he was gonna talk to them about that for me. Thats about 375-390 shipped.

Yeah i'm gonna work on that duties thing. One of the guys off of Winnipeg heights bought his H22 motor from down in california a few weeks ago and avoided paying all the taxes by shipping the motor to fargo or grand forks (can't remember which one) and then went down there and picked it up himself. He said he just talked to the customs agent ahead of time and arranged it all. So if this would work for the fog's maybe a couple of us could make a small road trip and head down into the good ole US of A and pick them up.

You still have to pay tax on stuff if you pick it up in the states. The only way to avoid tax is to not claim the item (ie. smuggling = illegal).

Be very careful with joining gb's that are organized far away by people you don't know. It's very easy to get scammed and when it seems too good to be true...it often is.

Pole position is a great vendor and I would endorse them 110%.

I saw that howard is now selling the 5th gen jdm fogs for 290us. it's a nice price seeing as the cdn dollar is getting stronger. You guys should organize somthing with him and maybe even get the price lower and also save on shipping.

only problem is.. he says it'll take ATLEAST 4-5 weeks to get them in. I dont know anymore.. Im gonna spend my cash on something else.
