Title: Leon Crazy Classic

Mrs Lai - October 21, 2005 01:50 PM (GMT)
Hi hi... umm, this is gonna be hard, I don't even know where and how to start and I don't know how I'm gonna arrange it...

Anyway, let's start with HK... crap weather... it was 25 degrees, felt like 45 degrees, couldn't breath half the time, felt like someone was constantly pouring hot water on my clothes... absolutely disgusting.

I actually flew to HK all by myself, first time to HK, no friends in HK except LL fans, and only stayed a week... basically went there just for the concerts... so, very high expectations!!! AND THE CONCERTS LIVED UP TO IT!!! My first thought after the first concert was MONEY WELL SPENT!!! Haha, for those who don't know, I haven't even been in my current position for a year, so I really had no annual leave, managed to dodge the system somehow... hehe.

... The coliseum is so small, like it always looks so big on screen, but it's really small, felt so close to Leon... hehe. U guys prob would've seen pictures, the stage had sorta 3 little circles, 2 at opposite corners and one in the middle, so u could get really close to him, unless u bought cheap tickets at the 2 other corners. He appeared almost always at the same corner tho, sometimes in the middle. And the stage was pretty small, but there were no fast songs, so he really didn't need a big stage. And then there was a bigger circle things which connected the 2 end circles.

There was a big long TV screen on the corner Leon always came out from. For the first song he didn't even come up on stage, just had to watch Leon from the huge TV for half the song before he decided to make his way up the stairs. Then u see handsome Leon in a black suit thing :2thumbsup: . Haha, he is so good looking, altho I think he's lost weight... really skinny. A little depressed actually, I think he's been working too hard... Anyway, I was a little worried he'd change singing styles and all, cos he's singing classics, everyone loved them and when everyone loves something and u decide to change it there will always be some negative feedback. Anyway, he didn't really change anything, Mark changed the music of course, but the only change in the singing was Leon's voice was more powerful and less heavy. Sorta hard to explain, but it was just so good. Anyway, after the first song, 'na yau yut tin but seung nei' he sang 'mo meng fan dek lor man'. They changed this song so he sings the chorus part first... sorta like the crazy classic song... and it's so much better, cos his voice is so powerful... haha, can't stop saying that. But it just really kept the mood going, instead of slowing down and starting all over again. I think 'mo meng fan dek lor man' is one of the best songs to perform at a concert, I love the feel, and everyone knows it too, so they can follow it. He sang the first 2 songs perfect every nite, he must know them very well, it didn't look like it required any effort. Anyway, and then clothes change, to that 'waiter look' and fluffy sleeves. This set of clothes totally just shows how thin he is... or fit if u want... but so skinny... he looks like a 25" waist... haha. Anyway, he appeared in the middle and sang 'nam sek gai dung'. Haven't heard him sing this song since 97 concert actually... he got this song perfectly every nite as well. Towards the middle of the song the middle circle thing went up... so everyone can see him better. Everyone screamed. Must mention also, the atmosphere was great... fans screamed almost at everything and also at nothing. He starts walking, they scream... he stops, they scream... the stage goes up, they scream... the stage goes down, they scream... he stands, they scream... he sits, they scream... hai... Anyway, he finally talks after the 3rd song, but most nites he just says he's so happy he doesn't know what to say, so the fans scream anyway, and then he says he's singing 'cheung ching' and they scream again. Anyway, I thought he didn't sing this song too well on the 2nd nite, too busy smiling I tell u. But perfect all other nites and better than CD on the 3rd nite. On the 5th nite I was sitting on the 3rd row of the last stage, and when Leon sings this song he walks over there... OMG, he was so close to me... it was just unbelievable. Had a really good look at him... god, I'm so clever, he really is really good looking... how did I know that 13 years ago? Haha... Anyway, clothes change again, to that really hot looking orange leather jacket... so good looking. Anway, on the first nite he sang 'sum chau dek lai ming' with 'nei jum mor seh dak ngor nan gwor' chorus. It was so good, I just love it when Leon sings other ppl's songs... he does it so well, and because I totally adore his voice I just almost died. After he sang that cross-over he explained to us that he was in Beijing earlier and a friend asked him to go karaoke then he 'sam chau dek lai ming' to Leon... and as Leon was listening he realised the tune of the 2 songs were similar u could mix and match the lyrics and music and it would work. And then he said next time we should try it at k. And then (hehe) he asked us if we wanted him to show us... and as I said, the fans screamed, because they screamed at anything... and he sang one verse and the chorus of 'nei jum mor seh dak ngor nan gwor' with the 'sam chau dek lai ming' music. My absolute fav part of the concert. And then he sang 'leung gor yan dik yin for', nth special here... he always sings this song perfect. Clothes change again, this is also one of my favourites, very cute pants with white shirt, goldish see thru shirt unbuttoned and black suit jacket buttoned. Sings 'yu gor hor yi joi geen nei', I actually thought he shouldn't of sang this song unless it was the last song, he gets so emotional... only sang it perfectly on the 3rd nite. Actually, don't know what he ate that day, but sang everything perfect on the 3rd nite. And then performed 'gum yeh nei wiu but wiu loi' in mando. The intro music actually reminds me of Jay's 'long guen fong', but no other fan agrees with me. On the 2nd nite he almost started singing too early... lucky he realised... haha, but he was just too happy on the 2nd nite. Besides that he got it perfect everynite. But I think it's a must, he's performed it at least 100 times I'd think. After this Leon gets changed again, Janice comes out. Very good song. She is so calm. But a lot of rude fans actually went to the bathroom. There was always a huge queue in all sections. On 1 nite I actually needed to go, so I did wait for her part, but I felt really guilty, but I just wouldn't be able to go during a Leon part. Sorry all Janice fans. I went before the concert started, I don't know what happened, I must have bladder problems... haha. Anyway, then Leon comes out in his jeans red shirt and gold jacket. Honestly, I never would've imagined Leon would wear a gold jacket, he must be really confident with the concert. Anyway, sings my favourite song... haha... COG theme 'gam sung but joi'. Almost melted in my seat... haha. Then he sings 'bit tim seung hau', only on the first nite, I really don't know why he cut this part... it's my other favourite song. <_< Anyway, lucky he sang this at the 903 concert so I have something to watch... hehe. Actually, never realised I was so greedy until now. Then he sings 'yut yin wai deng'. I thought the music at the start was a little stuffed up. I dunno, maybe it was too loud, but all 6 nites I thought that part was weird. Anyway, he sings this perfect, how can he stuff up... he knows this song so well... And then he takes off jacket lah and does that medley thing with Mark and some of the orchestra ppl. Talked a little bit, mainly Mark & Leon saying how Sin Lap Man hasn't managed to release another song since 94 and Mark saying Leon is "gor fun" for composing half a song and treating it as a full song. Anyway, sings 'jo hau dek luen oi' and 'ngor dek leng yut buen'. The latter I really would not have imagined he'd sing. But he sings it much better than CD, all nites, and with ease. 'jo hau dek luen oi' he sings without the 'woo's, I personally like it better with, the part in 99 Unicef concert is still the best performance of the song I reckon. Also, he takes off his jacket, fans went ballistic. And before he sings, on the first nite Mark said he's really happy cos it's the first time Leon listened to him. And Leon was a little lost... so Mark explained lah, it's because Leon is willing to sing old songs lah, and Mark said the reason the concert is called "Crazy Classic" is because Leon is only willing to sing classics cos he has gone crazy... haha. Anyway, he sings these 2 songs and then Mark says a little more. He said before he worked with Leon he really disliked him, but there was one song he really didn't mind repeating and that was 'song nei yut fan dek sut fa' and he didn't understand why Leon rarely sang it. So he sings it lah, and on the 3rd nite Leon almost slipped because of the snow effects they were doing. Then just as they finish singing and start walking back to the main stage Chapman appears. Basically everynite Chapman and Mark crack jokes at Leon's dancing skills, using Happy 2000 and Sayonarah Oh as examples. Leon just stood there and laughed... seriously, he couldn't stop giggling himself. But all nites he refused to dance regardless. On the first 5 nites Mark actually said "no, I don't suggest Leon dance, I don't want him to hurt himself", but on the last nite he said he thinks Leon should dance cos it's the last nite, but of course Leon said if he could dance he would've danced on the first nite... haha. And there was one part when he paused for abt 5 secs to think of a comeback and when he finally came up with one Chapman stopped him, he said if it took Leon that long to come up with he didn't want to listen to it... he couldn't stop laughing actually, prob expected Leon to have a huge quite or sth. Actually, their friendship really showed in this part, u know when u're willing to crack jokes like that u gotta be pretty close. Anyway, and then shake hand part as Chapman sang 'ngan jeng sueng lo hung' and 'ngor dek chan oi'. I got to shake his hand, official hand shake on 10th and 12th, and his left hand sorta grabbed my right hand on 14th. No chance on the other nites at all, just watched him walk past. Anyway, gets changed after this part, purple pants, D&G top and grey jacket and hat on 1st nite. On the other nites he put on his hat after he took of the jacket. Sings 'muet ming ji dek gor mo meng ji dek nei'. Sings it perfectly, with ease. Probably the least popular song he sang in the concert, the others were bigger plugs and commercial songs. But everyone still sang along. Then he sings 'yau ching long', the only new song in the concert. Actually a lil disappointed, because I thought 'dan ying' would've suited the mood better... but I guess it wasn't a plug. Anyway, does very well. He's always so happy when he sings this song... I wonder why. Then he sings 'dui but hei ngor oi nei'. On the first nite he went back down to shake more hands, I think he missed an area beforehand. I've never heard him sing this song so well actually. Then he introduces 'ha yut keng ching'. The crowd went wild. All HK fans kept reminding me this was the "fans song". Everyone sang along everynite. Most nites the fans in the $480 area stood up. I was surprised he didn't pass fans the mic during the concert. All 6 nites he sang the song all the way thru. I think he's voice has changed thruout the yrs and I haven't actually heard this song since. His voice is not as heavy so it sounds a lot better. Then clothes change, comes out in my absolute favourite black suit with white shirt and black tie minus black trousers plus dark blue overalls. So absolutely cute and handsome. Almost died... haha. Then he sings 'ngor jeh yeuing oi nei'. On the 3rd nite he mixes some mando verses in there. I never really liked the mando version until that nite. I wonder if he changed the lyrics a little tho, it sorta sounded diff... hehe. It could just be me. And then he makes a 5 min speech, every nite, to introduce Michael Kwong. Basically saying how some ppl can sing but can't compose and vice versa, but he met someone in Beijing who can compose very good tunes, write really touching lyrics and has a beautiful voice. Then Michael comes out on the middle stage with piano, Leon basically stayed on the main stage with no spot light until he sang that chorus part where he started walking to the middle stage. The crowd was really loud during this part. And u can tell a lot of fans went to listen to this song after the concert, cos the fans that sang along to this song gradually got louder and louder thruout the shows. But of course he didn't steal the show, when Leon started singing fans went crazy. Anyway, everynite after singing Michael would say "xie xie, dor jeh dai ka" and then walk down the end stage... haha. Then Leon sings 'yu gwor jeh si ching'. Same with this song, haven't heard him sing this song for a while. Really brings back memories, and all these songs really do show his improvements. So proud of him. And then, everynite he would say "last song for tonite ching sum suet wah mei chung gong'. We've heard him sing this perfectly before, but in a stadium it's different. Sounds more powerful than usual. And he did change the singing a little, on this part, can't really explain it. But it does sound better. Then Chapman comes on stage again in his orange suit and reads the thank-yous and gets the crew on stage for a group bow. On the last nite Chapman actually came out with teary eyes, and u could hear his voice change... haha. Anyway, as he comes out on the last nite he says "u don't have to explain why u love someone, at a time when the number of 'ming seng' is decreasing in HK, there is still a real 'ming seng' standing beside/behind me". Wah, so touching... Anway, most fans were standing up and the security guards sorta let u wander around for fotos for this part, and actually a lot of ppl leave before Leon even goes inside because they want front rows in the carpark to watch Leon leave... haha. This part of the nite was very depressing...

Anyway, Leon was in such a good mood... some HK fans mentioned that during the 2001 concert Leon treated it as a job, but during these concerts he was really doing it for the love of it. He was really doing it for us. He couldn't get himself to walk down the stairs the last nite, kept standing there and waving to use. And at one part of the last nite he actually says "I know u guys are gonna miss it, but I'm gonna miss u too"... and during some other part he says "I'm so happy to have u fans, that's why I've let u guys watch me walk each step of my life, I feel really satisfied to have u guys." Something like that, maybe when I rememebr I'll correct myself. Anyway, enough typing for tonite. Prob go see a physio tmw... haha. Prob upload pics later... Thanks to all that read all my bull... haha.

Nite nite.

Ah_M - October 21, 2005 09:31 PM (GMT)
Wow thank you Mrs Lai for such a great & touching report! I'm getting all teary-eyed for not going this time :( Hot banner btw (guess you know already) I read the run-down of the concert and it seemed a bit short, guess being there would've felt like time flew by. And I wasn't liking the black furry sleeves, if he didn't wear them then he'd be super-super HOT!

Just out of interest, would you have been prepared to leave your job if you couldn't get the week off? ;)

GaV - October 22, 2005 01:49 AM (GMT)
wow thx for the report...i feel so left out for not being able to go now -_-"
all i can hope for now is that the DVD comes out ASAP! :)

Mrs Lai - October 22, 2005 02:00 AM (GMT)
It did feel short actually... but then even if he sang 30 songs it would feel short... haha. Nah, there were a lot of classics which I thought he should've sang. Like 'ngor dek gam gok', I honestly thought fans wanted to hear him sing this live... The last time he performed this song was like... 93 concert?

Black flurry sleeves... I think if he didn't wear it it would make him look even skinnier... Nah, I was happy with everything except the hat... haha.

Leave my job? Prob not. Just because I'm at a stage where ppl who want experience will think I'm not experienced enough and the ppl who want unexperienced will think I'm too experienced. And plus, my boss just gave me a pay rise so I would stay, if I left now, even if someone would hire me I wouldn't get that pay. And, also, I used credit cards for more than half of the trip... if I quit, I wouldn't be able to pay it off... haha. If I couldn't get it off I was gonna go for 2 days or sth and just call in sick... haha. Next October I will prob go see the 1st 3 shows only, don't think I can afford another week trip.

Mrs Lai - October 22, 2005 02:03 AM (GMT)
Oh yeh, some fans watched 5 shows... haha, they kept saying they felt left out on that nite they missed... haha. I hope I can survive only watching 3 shows next year.

m... I know my banner is hot. Haha... It took like 10 mins, to choose pics, crop, re-size and arrange. Just shows how hot he was... hehe, I basically just chose 1 pic for each set of clothes. He's sooooooo good looking!!!

Maggie - October 22, 2005 08:10 AM (GMT)
Wow, Mrs Lai, your report is so down to the details. You must have kept a diary after each show :D Reading it gets me all high again.... Was his hand cold or warm during hand shake?

Ah_M - October 22, 2005 09:08 AM (GMT)
Oh yeah, the purple outfit and cap - didn't really do anything for him :P So he only sang 'Lick The Wound' on the first night? Perhaps he thought it's not classic yet...'My Feelings' will be next year's show definitely and 'yut yeah qing ching'...Did he sing 'yut yin wai ding' every night? Don't remember seeing it in the run-down. Oh, so you are really lucky, get time off work and watch all the shows - JEALOUS!!! haha...I asked just to see how crazy you are but, you're pretty sensible hehe...And did you manage to look deep into his eyes when you shook his hand?

Mrs Lai - October 22, 2005 11:27 AM (GMT)
I did make notes actually... haha. m was after a report.

His hand was actually really cool. It wasn't cold tho, but it was cool. And very soft, I wonder which hand cream he uses.

Oh, I liked the purple outfit before he took the jacket off. I really like the jacket. But not the hat. Pity actually, cos all the fotos that went on sale outside the coliseum were from the first nite, so I couldn't get any pic of the that outfit without the hat.

Yeh, 100% sure he sang 'yut yin wai ding' every single nite.

I didn't look deep into his eyes. But on the first nite cos I was basically the only person standing there he looked right into me, and I sorta looked down, cos I got scared... haha. Sorta silly actually, a lot of HK fans gave me crap for that, so I tried to look into his eyes the other nites, but still kept looking down. I could only look at him when he wasn't looking at me or shaking my hand... haha.

Mrs Lai - October 22, 2005 11:27 AM (GMT)
Maggie... were u unsuccessful on all nites?

Sheepcat - October 22, 2005 08:55 PM (GMT)
It's been a long time since the last time I was here.

Such a great write-up, Mrs. Lai!! I was smiling and laughing while reading your review. It brings good memory and some of the descriptions are funny to read~

I can understand that you kinda shied away when Leon looked at you. I was like that the first night. When Leon looked at me, I was a bit shocked. I guess at that time, I wasn't used to it since I haven't seen Leon in person for so many years.
But after the first night, I was able to look into his eyes 3rd, 4th, and 5th nights. sweet memory~

Maggie - October 22, 2005 09:50 PM (GMT)
I was able to get 2 official hand shakes. 1st show - his hand felt cool, big, very soft, but very hard hand shake though (almost crushed my hand....) He must have realized it, and he immediately loosen it. I was looking down at the hand shake and didn't even have eye contact.... I was a bit nervous & shy too. 4th show - I knew by now I need to make eye contact, so I wasn't even taking pics or doing anything else, but concentrate on getting a hand shake. Thank goodness it wasn't too crowed around me, so I just stood there with my hand out, waiting for him to shake it. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, hands were coming from behind me, and he shoke those and I was still standing there (didn't move much) still with my hand out (all disappointed :( ). Then I thought, it's over. He's not going to shake my hand, cause he was about to keep walking..... Suddenly, he noticed me standing there (it must have been the disappointed look on my face or something)and we made eye contact for a split second  and he smiled and reached out to shake my hand with such warm, gentle, soft, but firm hand shake. I instantly melted on the spot.... :P :D

Mrs Lai - October 23, 2005 02:30 AM (GMT)
Argh, u guys sound experienced. I couldn't look at him, kept looking at his hand... haha.

Oh, that was what happened on the 5th nite. He actually walked right past me, then he sorta stepped back and reached out to sort of grab my hand. That's why I say 2.5 times and not 3. Cos his left hand sort of grabbed my right hand. Very unofficial hand shake.

Actually, just incase ppl don't know I'm weird... hehe. I actually read what I typed and I smile myself. It's like my only official write up of the event... hehe.

U 2 should write sth up as well. It feels really satisfying.

weh - October 23, 2005 06:05 AM (GMT)
WOW!! Nice and detailed. Thanks :2thumbsup:

The rundown was pretty short ah. But the songs...ahhhh So good!! Yes!! My fave from Leon is wearing the overalls and the half top of a suit. wah....so leng jai and cutie!! Hahah half cute and half leng jai. He smiled so much from seeing the pictures.

Hey how come I don't see the bouncing part geh? So funny how you mentioned that Leon bounced and the fan's screamed. Then he bounced twice and they screamed more. hehehe

Seeing the news videos and reading all the concert reports made me miss out big time. Arggh...Next year!! I will be ready.

Haha...The first time seeing Leon's concert was in San Francisco. I sat like in the 3rd row, but I was wearing a hat. Kept on looking down whenever Leon stood near the side. Too shy....

Maggie - October 23, 2005 06:57 AM (GMT)
I don't have a good memory as you do Mrs Lai, so I've already forgotten alot of the details. Good thing we have your report to refer back to.... During certain parts of the concert, I used my binacular to see a close up of his face expression. It's so up close and personal. I feel like he's looking straight at me with those puppy eyes as he was singing. The feeling was just amazing.

My favorite outfit was the 1st one - the black thick wool jacket with a scraf around his neck..... um um um.... so handsome.

There was 1 night, Leon was so high he ran across the stage after the hand shake part. Was that the 2nd or 3rd show? Anyone know?

L1211L - October 23, 2005 07:23 AM (GMT)
wow...all the experiences were so funny!! thank u so much every1..

At first I thought i was the only silly 1 who dare not looked right into his eyes but so happy to see actually every1 is the same..maybe fans cant take such high voltage from his eyes!!! :P

If I'm not mistaken, i managed to touch him everyday except 13th but official ones will be 10th & 12th. After that, I've the same feeling like Mrs Lai, what cream he uses...he has such a big & SOFT hands...softer than many girls!! haha...
Oh surprisingly this concert, his hands weren't wet...last concert many fans complained about that!

Y every1 doesn't seems to like that furry sleeves...that's 1 of the costume that show how fit Leon's figure is!! But overall, all the costumes are good excluding that purple outfit without suit!! Thanks to mr Jonathan Chan!! :2thumbsup:

Every1 be prepared for next concert..there are always surprises waiting for us!!!!!! :good:

Mrs Lai - October 23, 2005 07:33 AM (GMT)
Oh, I knew I had bad memory. Yeh, he bounced on the 2nd nite. He was between the main and middle stage. Wearing the overalls. He looked over at a group of fans and they screamed, so he bounced twice and they screamed even louder. That part was so totally cute. If I was part of that crowd I prob would've fainted... hehe.

Oh, that reminds me Maggie. I think it was 4th or 5th nite. He finished the handshake part and went back on stage. But for some reason he walked over to the main stage and started shaking hands again. All the security guys were still at the bottom of the end stage, so they (at least 5 of them) jumped onto the stage and ran across to Leon... it was sort of funny actually.

I didn't end up using my binoculars, I couldn't focus it right or maybe it was too powerful, so it was always shakey.

Fans complained abt his wet hands? Haha... that's so cute.

Well, overall I thought he was more relaxed this time, cos no fast songs, didn't have to dance. SO he can't really have wet hands, I didn't see one drop of sweat actually. He really just stood there. The biggest 'movement' will have to be the bouncing... haha.

L1211L - October 23, 2005 07:46 AM (GMT)
Haha...I think I remember the bouncing too!! He was so cute. He has more cute expression in this concert if you see those pics. And another cute expression on the 1st day when Chapman To did the split, Leon was so shocked (maybe he never expected that)...his facial expression was so funny!!

Oh I think those securities running around the stage was on 4th nite if I'm not mistaken. They looked so worried, maybe the nite before Leon was injured & they were scolded by Stanley! Coz I remember on the 12th, Stanley, Joe & Leon were talking non-stop when Leon left the stadium..I think the nite was the longest he stayed outside the yellow zone.

Mrs Lai - October 23, 2005 09:34 AM (GMT)
Leon wasn't injured. I think one of Stanley's boys got punched by a guy fan. All I saw was Stanley and another security basically 'carrying' Leon away.

L1211L - October 23, 2005 09:55 AM (GMT)
I'm very sure he was injured...I saw his right hand bleeding, quite a big wound. I didn't see that punching part but I'm sure most nites Stanley's team were 'carrying' him all the way except 1st nite cuz most fans not prepared yet. Stanley was holding his waist so tight all nites, it must be very painful...feel so pitiful for Leon!

Mrs Lai - October 23, 2005 11:40 AM (GMT)
Oh, that was just a scratch. The nite I saw Leon being carried, they were sorta lifting him by the elbows. Leon was airborne for a few seconds... hehe.

Mrs Lai - October 23, 2005 01:20 PM (GMT)
Forgot to mention.

On the 3rd nite as Leon and Mark were walking to the end stage Mark said "gum yut sam ching ho ho wor" (today very good mood), and then Leon started singing a few lines of 'sum ching ho'.

And also on that nite when they were talking and introducing 'ngor dek leng yut buen' Mark asked the fans if Leon's own compostions were good, and of course everyone screamed 'yes' and Leon said of course some of his songs will have they're own 'mei do'. And some fans screamed 'ngor dek gum gok', so Mark said "ho yeh lei ga" (good stuff hey?) and then he said "but gor ng chueng ga" (but not singing).

weh - October 23, 2005 06:48 PM (GMT)
Why do you think Leon 'lut jui' on "If I Can See You Again" for 2 or 3 nights? hahah While hearing the shows, he just paused and picked right back up again. It's on the same spot too. hehehe

And how come Leon didn't sing "Don't Lick the Wound" after the 1st show? Love that song!

One more quetion, how many nights were the film crew there?

heheh I'll ask more when I can think of the questions.

Mrs Lai - October 23, 2005 09:38 PM (GMT)
Because he didn't mean to pause. U know when u see his expression. He sorta missed it, then thought may as well pick up later. And it's not just that part, the part before the chorus, he basically sang different lyrics every nite... hehe.

Didn't say why he didn't sing it... He just didn't sing it.

Hmmm, I saw some cameras on 3rd, 5th & 6th nite. Not sure abt the others. But I'm pretty sure there weren't any on the 1st & 2nd. But then again, I didn't even see the ppl record for all the ent news channels. So I'm sorta just blind... haha.

GaV - October 24, 2005 01:38 AM (GMT)
That beijing concert he's going to have, is it related to crazy classic in any way?
if things go well, il be going to HK and China end of this yr and might have a chance to catch it :D

L1211L - October 24, 2005 03:58 AM (GMT)
I think 15th will be recorded into dvd cuz there were like so many cameras everywhere that day...even during the shaking-hand part, the crew was so busy running in front to film the fans n then back to Leon again. But maybe they'll edit some parts with other nites like previous concerts.
The best combination will be 10th + 12th + 15th cuz 10th with extra 2 songs, 12th Leon talked the most & of cuz 15th with the best atmosphere! :2thumbsup: :P

Gav, I heard China fans said that the tickets are almost sold out, so if u really planned to u..I think u better find out fast. Good Luck!

Mrs Lai - October 24, 2005 08:43 AM (GMT)
I saw the most cameras on 12th. I think the other nites r just to patch up. Leon sang the best on 12th, so it'll be good to release the 12th. At least non-fans can watch it and say "wow". Hehe. But of course the atmosphere on the last nite was just crazy. 10th is good too, cos Leon was in the bestest mood. Yeh, L1211L, I agree, 10th, 12th, 15th... haha.

meh..I have questions thought about in class but I forgot about it now. hahah

So I assume Joey Tang and Pal were there too right? Did they do anything? Any backup singers?

How do they (janice, charles, mark, chapman, joey, pal....) look like in person?

Did something went wrong with one of the screens?

I'm trying to think how Leon get down to shake hands even with the $400 audience. Is there some sort of walkway?

 Hope I don't annoy you guys with so many questions? hahah

Hello,

No Joey Tang and Pal did not do anything during the concerts. But when Leon and Mark mentioned them, they just looked at Leon and smiled. No backup singers this time.

Janice is very cute although bad wig in the first 5 nights. At the last concert, she finally changed her own hair back. I heard some fans saying that Charles looked like a kid. But to me, he just looked like a normal 26 guy and is a bit shy. Chapman is chubby and short to me.......hahhaha.....I hope I don't sound to be a bad person.....^^ll All other people just look as they are in screen, nothing really special.

Only in the first night, there was something wrong with one of screens (big screen is composed with many small screens).

Actually, you can see the photo of how the stage was set up here. http://superleon.cjb.net/forum/read.asp?FId=4&Id=9361

Even though I had $400 tix in the 15th, I still got to shake Leon's hands and being spotted by Leon. So it's very good design to be close to the audience~

Haha, agree Sheepcat. Chapman is fat. And seems even fatter when Leon stands next to him. Mark's fat too. Pretty much the same size I think, just that Mark's taller. Janice is thin in real actually, and taller. But some fans say she got a small pot. Charles didn't say anything, maybe he was nervous. But when Leon introduced him, Leon sorta walked near the stairs and walked him to the middle. Like a little boy... hehe... and Leon was like a Dad... But Charles has a bad posture.

Oh, I forgot to mention the screens. As Sheepcat said one of the screens weren't working on the first nite. One of the middle ones, so when the intro was playing u'd see "Producer" and then blank, "Management" and then blank... hehe. It was quite funny actually cos u it was all a mystery until the 2nd nite. And Mark made a comment abt it. He got on stage and said "Leon, I know u're unhappy that the screen is not working, but just sing "yok gun di" (more emotions) for the fans."

The stage... well, u can see on the pic lah, that big circle thing, where Leon walks is behind the $480 and in front of the $400.

 hahah Thanks!!

That's so cute of Leon walking Charles to the middle. Yea, I notice Charles sorta does not stand up straight. He always hunch over like Edison. They'll have humpbacks when they get old.

ah I see how Leon gets around now. Wow...impressive built to get to shake hands at the $400 sections.

How do the performers get around inside those blew up balloons/balls? Looks so cool with the lights but kinda odd. hahah

^yikes that was me. haha

I was listening to the audio of the concert and it sounded like he held the last note of the chorus's first line for too long so missed the second line but yeah, kinda funny that he did it everytime :P Did he look embarassed?

And did he not sing the crossover of Autumn's Dawn/nay jum mor... every night?

Anyone else annoyed that Chapman still calls Leon 'lai lo ming'? Even his wife called him that on the radio -_-

Which glowsticks did you use? Can't be the small green ones if it was blinding the people behind you lol

I guess there'll be cameras all the time to film for the big screens at the top of the colisseum.

Ah_M - October 25, 2005 05:46 PM (GMT)
omg, that is so sweet of Leon to walk back and shake hands! I think I'd just crack my face coz I'll be smiling too much hehe... Have you noticed from the ent videos that Leon can see most of the audience's faces? Kinda makes me think that Leon really was waving back to me because I was the only 'sor por' waving their arms around in the area and guess what I did? Sit back in my chair and go all shy when he walked over and looked at me -_- ahh, dreaming...

Ah_M - October 25, 2005 05:49 PM (GMT)
And er, what do you mean 'bouncing'? Jumping up and down on the spot?

Mrs Lai - October 25, 2005 09:30 PM (GMT)
There's a zip thing I think. This guy helps them open up the hole and they just squeeze in. Easier than it looks... hehe.

I think it's cos Charles used to be fat.

Crossover only on the 1st nite.

M, Leon never looks embarrassed. Usually when these things happen the crowd will scream, and then he'll smile... haha. He only really missed that part once, the last nite he just got emotional.

I used the big flashing red one. It's pretty good.

Yeh, the fans say he has really good memory, he always looks at his fans and try to recognise them. Maybe the reason he walked back to me was cos he remembered me from the 1st nite.

Bouncing as in jumping lor. But jumping doesn't sound smooth enough... haha.

Leon looks just as handsome in person as he does in pictures..... and he's got perfect complexion, in good shape, and such soft hands ^_^

I couldn't believe with a touch of lighting, he could actually see the fans. There was one night, he walked very close to my seating area and I immediately pulled out my binacular to have an even closer look. He must have saw me, cause he looked straight in my direction through the lenses.... It was so hard to stay calm.

Oh, maybe I was not specific enough. One night right after he completed the hand shake round, he immediately ran back on stage and sang the last couple lines of the handshake song (sayonara oh), then ran across the long stage to grab some gifts/presents from fans before he got off stage. Does anyone remember this? He was very high that night. I just couldn't remember was it 2nd or 3rd show.

L1211L - October 26, 2005 08:27 AM (GMT)
For me Leon looks really thin in person than on tv especially when he was in his casual wear outside the stadium..too thin for his height!

Mark is fat? I thought he looks slim down a lot. I saw him in white t-shirt on the 1st day outside the stadium & my friends can't recognise him cuz he is a lot 'smaller' than we imagined! haha

Chapman is really fat...exactly like on tv n his hands are rough...soooo rough! :P

Janice also looks thinner in person than on tv..she isnt that short anyway & er complexion is really good!!! :2thumbsup:

Charles on the other hand, he seems shorter than on tv..or maybe he wasn't standing straight that day!!

Pal & Joey look exactly like in pics or tv...

p/s: I wonder if u guys actually realised if Amusic is having a slim down campaign cuz Leon, Janice, Charles, Mark & even Zhi Chuen (Leon's assistant) all put down weight it seems! haha

L1211L - October 26, 2005 08:33 AM (GMT)
m, u won't be 'sor por' waving b/c every1 else is doing the same! hehe
Is like automatically u'll start to raise your hands & waved when Leon did it..so...is sorta like normal..

I think he really remember fans b/c there was this nite, I was sitting behind a group of Korea fans, Leon suddenly stood in front of them..smiled & bowed to them..if I were 1 of them..I'll faint on the spot! He remembered them maybe b/c they attended many nites..(at least I saw them a few nites)
with their blue t-shirt..

Haha... so funny. That reminds me, when I saw Chi Chuen in the hotel lobby (did I tell u guys this?). Anyway, another fan that was with me asked him right away "u've lost a lot of weight, have u been working hard?"... Haha... I couldn't stop laughing, and he just didn't really say anything. Haha...

Mrs Lai - October 26, 2005 08:59 AM (GMT)
Oh Maggie, I remember that part. Yeh, there was 1 nite when he sang a few lines of 'ngor dek chan oi'... But I can't remember which nite. Pretty sure it's not the 2nd nite. It was sorta later... Hmmm, I'll do some research and get back to u... hehe.

Haha, Maggie, did he see u get out the binoculars and all... he would've thought u were blind or sth... haha.

I thought Charles was tall. 1st time I saw him was in the carpark on 14th. He was tall... taller than Michael... if that means anything... hehe.

Oh, the Korean/Japanese fans go so prepared... They have big bags of "equipment". For different songs they use different colour sticks or they use those cheer leading things. And they wear stuff around thier wrists. Either glow in the dark stuff or just silver stuff. And they wave their "equipment" around in different patterns. And there r like 5 or 6 of them. And, not sure if it's them but there was a big banner at one stage as well. And they stand for most of the show.

Leon is so thin in person. I was surprised. But in the fotos he looks normal. Oh, must repeat and emphasise... he's so good looking!!!!!!!!!!!!!
