As you can see, Peter Chan won a well-deserved Best Director Award for Three - Going Home from the Hong Kong Film Critics Society while the film was given a Film of Merit. Leon lost out to Anthony Wong (who had 3 nominations in total) for his part in Infernal Affairs but it was a close competition between the two.
