I've been checking everyday since June... so bored I even reviewed some of his older albums... but yesterday I saw the link posted at leonfansworld.com before I checked at yesasia.

I won't die, but 23 long months... I want a really "ying" cover... spike the hair please!!!

Maybe we can start posting our expectations of the album now... hehe...

More ballads than fast tracks... a normal CD packaging, maybe just a cover to go around it... abt 10 pics... good quality printing and good colour selection (so fans don't complain abt the un-readable print :P )... some award winning type stuff... some non-karaoke songs (they're sometimes better)... top quality MV (we've seen pics of a cute MV, maybe some "ying" ones)... making of video please please please!!!

as a male fan i really really want to see "ying" MV's more than sad or cute mv's. i remember when i saw the "love the whole day" MV at age 12 and i was like "awesome!"

as for the CD itself:

i want something different. Not just the typical sitting-somewhere-looking-at-camera stuff...soemthing that really stands out. I hope the colors are darker and not yellow/red/orange...i prefer dark blue, gray, and black more. Any hair is fine as long as it's not long (no F4, pleaseeee). The font should be innovative and i hope the title is in Chinese because...well....the album is Chinese

booklet

Lesse...not asking for too much here. Don't expose much flesh...make it look professional...and make the booklet one of those smooth textures rather than the paper. Example...Jay's "8 dimensions" booklet was awesome. I want the lyrics to be readable too ^ ^

music

Actually i would prefer more fast songs than slow songs, given that the fast songs are innovative and fresh (no techno please...). Hope some of them would have lots of bass b/c those songs sound awesome in the car. Don't let the music cover the voice though. Don't sing in too high of a pitch, and if you do any rap do it in a calmer type of voice. The slow songs, hopefully, will sound different from the ballads that everyone does now. I don't really want karaoke songs really...i want quality music that comes from the heart. Do some songs that only Leon can sing...those are always, ALWAYS, the best.

Oh, I like "ying" as well, but a combination is always good.

Yeh, Jay's 8D booklet was cool, the design and all. But I want Leon to have somethng more simple... and I don't like that glossy paper... u can't get ur fingerprints off and u can't scan a good quality pic, u always see the dust and FINGERPRINTS. :angry:

Hmmm, with Leon songs they're always singable... but after Leon sings it, everyone else would sound weird cos he sings it with such a better tone and all.

i did notice them using "Leon"...i guess it's b/c then it can appeal to Korean fans, Japanese fans, vietnamese fans, etc. etc. all at once.

I agree on the fingerprints thing...so hopefully it's some type of new shiny texture that doesn't have those problems. haha

i was thinking about the cover, it should looks like the DVD cover, big pics inside and outside, maybe some lyrics on a booklet staples to the inside cover.

mvs- What's the english title for "Ying"...I want the mvs that make me say AWww, or nooooh. more of desperate love, and ends with happiness, and must have some jokes in it. DEFINITELY needs "The Making OF"

songs- some hip hop, something that you don't want to sing with, but want to listen. karaoke song is ok to put on the album, i prefer it have english lyrics.
many songs go together in one track with the guitar as the background music, we can hear leon's voice easily.

Free stickers of Leon, or a pen with Leon's signature in it.

"ying" is like...cool, awesome looking. example: the guy in the Matrix...doing cool poses and stuff haha

Maybe he should do a normal CD, like 5 pics, normal lyrics booklet... so when it makes top sales everyone can automatically work out why...

That's been the case for nearly all his albums. There were free stickers with Hey, but u won't know until u buy it... and they weren't stickers of Leon anyway, no one would have bought the album for the stickers... hehe. That's why when Leon sells albums it's obviously for the quality. If they're gonna include extras all of a sudden the media will start saying his popularity has dropped. So whaever he does, no extras please!

I don't want anything extra coz I believe Leon sells quality!! But of coz it could be slightly better even if is just a normal CD! A least with nice photos & MVs!! :)

Very good points Mrs Lai, and yet the media don't seem to pick on these things *sigh*...
I say he should make everything fancy and include extras but not advertise it (like huge sticker on the cover), fans are gonna buy it anyway so don't really have to.

yeah surprise extras are good...that way it's not being used to promote the album; rather it's a reward for buying it =)

oh and a screensaver like on beijing station would be nice, spent ages staring at my computer screen :lol:

I want extras on the disc more... I've always wanted the pics from the booklet to be available on the CD as well... so there's no need to scan and it's good quality... but I guess that'll make it too easy for the pirated companies (are the referred to as companies?).

And hopefully there won't be a 2nd version, cos I never buy 2nd versions, but I always feel I'm missing out. :(

I think it would've been better to 'comeback' with a slow song but oh well, this is pretty good :) sounds like one of his older songs speeded up on a few notes.

hey it sounds fresh which is good. Though it isn't one of his best fast songs. of course i'm glad it's a new style though

i hope the new album cover takes place in the recording room....while he sings.

If he's gonna push it back heaps then I'd rather he just release whatever he's done now. But if it's just a week, and it means more and better MVs and better song selection then 1 week isn't that bad... we'll be patient. We've waited 22 months anyway...

Anyone else think that the 18 tracks will actually consist of mando/canto version of the same song? Couldn't believe there'd be that many at first but Kelly's new album has 15.

He could release a 2nd version or a seperate VCD/DVD with all the MVs for each album track later on like S.H.E, Jolin and lots of others have done.

Yeh, I think it's gonna be 10 brand new mando songs, and 8 canto songs. When he perfomed in Beijing the fans said the songs were mando, but he's releasing canto now... And he did say the album is a mando album. So yeh, that's my guess. The extra 8 songs are canto versions, one of them is Together lor... do u think he'll do canto versions of the 2 songs from LMLY?

he said 18 new songs though =( not 10 new songs w/ different versions...
