News 1:
"Infernal Affairs III" had been shown for 15 days and its current box-office was near to HK$2.6 million. Yesterday, the directors Andrew Lau and Alan Mak announced that from today onwards, all cinemas will begin to show the extended version of "Infernal Affairs III". Its running time will be 12 minutes more than the original version. With the addition of 8 scenes, it will untie some of the questions in the story and there will be more scenes of Chen Daoming, Leon Lai and Kelly Chen.
News 2:
At "Golden Chicken 2" discussion forum, a female fan who identified herself as Leon's fan asked whether Leon really did cried in the movie. The director said that the most important thing during acting was to project a real feeling. Sandra Ng added that whether the tears was real or not was not important. The audience did not need to see the actor's real tears, the most important was the feeling while watching the movie.
Peter Chan said the Leon's part had also been cut, because if you talked about him more deeply, he would become a role. He hoped that the end result was things happening around "Ah Kam".

hk was shown the the shorter version, this extended version should be the one shown in china and probably easier to understand.

it's a smart way to gets some more fans to see the movie again. The reason they said was to see more LEON, kelly and daoming, which prefer to fans of those three.
