Yesterday, Leon was presented the Medal of Honour by the Hong Kong Special Administration Region Government. Very early, there were already half a hundred fans waiting outside the Government House, and police officers had to be present to maintain the order. Leon arrived punctually at 3pm. After the medal presentation, he was surrounded by people who wanted to take photographs with him. When he stepped out of the Government House, he accidentally dropped his medal to the floor. He quickly picked it up and his assistant helped him to put it on again.

About his feelings for being presented the Medal of Honour, he said that it was a very big encouragement and would treasure it. He said, "I've never thought that I would be presented the Medal of Honour at this time. As my father had contracted terminal cancer and in order to wish for his recovery, I had promised to do a lot of charity work. Now that my father is fine and since I have made my promise, I will continue to do it. Nevertheless, I have to thank the people around me for their support, including the help of fans. Therefore, I have to share this honour with them and will continue to be their role model."

Reporters asked Leon whether his father knew about him being awarded the Medal of Honour? Would they have a meal together to celebrate? Leon smiled and said, "Maybe he knows, but I've never said. Besides, my family seldom have meals together for special matters. Every year, we also do not have reunion dinner. My father and mother had divorced for more than 10 years, even before that, we also did not celebrate."

About him accidentally dropping the medal to the floor, would he feel embarrassed? Leon said, "Actually the medal should be pinned from the bottom, but you have to do it yourself to make it secure. For the sake of convenience, it was just pinned up loosely. It had already been dropped many times while I was signing autographs for people inside. But this proves that it is tough enough, there are no scratches." Leon will be keeping the medal in his house, together with his other souvenirs for doing charity work.

Asked whether the Chief Executive said any words of encouragement to him? Leon said, "He said that I have already done a lot for the society and told me to continue to work hard and do more things for the society and charity."
