after i'm finished getting my BoC up to 3K i want to turn to another army. First thing that came to mind was of course skaven. I wanted to do a clan army but not Skyre because thats what everyone does. I finally decided on Eshin. My questions are what should i buy for a clan eshin army? has anyone tried this type of army? was is successful? How should i got about painting these rats?

all replies appreciated!

BTW i allready decided on a master assasin for my 2K army.
and NO JEZZAILS!!!

Are you planning on using the appendix or normal list?

I would start with 2-3 boxes of Night/Gutter Runners, and a Lord. Then add some clanrats and your contingen of Stormvermin. The rest is yours.

what units sizes would you recommend?

I would say 15-20(maybe) for your gutter runners. Remember, though, that you are still playing Skaven, so fill in the ranks with clanrats.

Actually, I think having a few small units of jezzaisl would be very Eshin-like. Maybe something like sharpshooters...

last night i thought of converting the jezzails and ratling guns to snipers and i'll probably make it somewhat comical.

I would drop the champion and musician from each Clanrat unit, and then spend the extra points on more Gutter Runners.

That Master Assassin is going to be a nightmare for the enemy. :ph43r:

I would maybe drop a few clanrats/Night runners to pay for more Gutter Runners and characters - these being the strengths of the Eshin army. An assassin is, after all, a very decent fighter, and will lend real power to your rank-and-file.

I think you should have 2 units of Gutter runners, as well.

Agreed chili, more characters more gutter runners, 2 units of clan rats, 2 units of night runners, 1 master assasin, 1 sorcerer, 2 assasin 2 units of 12 gutter runners. The gutter runners and characters are gonna be the game winners, so get some more!

i think the Eshin army will have to wait. THe Goblin wolf riders are calling and i love lotsa calvary. Thanx for everyones help any way.
