I'm at my firsts experiences with Warhammer, so i need some advices for my army. the list is:
4 units of hammerers, 15 models each;
1 unit of iron breakers, 12 models;
2 units of bolt throwers, 2 models each;
1 unit of thunderers, 12 models;
1 unit of crossbowers, 12 models;
as general i would like to use King Alrik Ranulfsson. he is a Lord, so I think he could be the general of a Royal Clan army. is it true?

Don't worry about your english, you're doing very well.
As to the list, the first thing I'd say is that you need to make your combat units at least 20 models big. This maximizes rank bonus, and allows you to survive a few casualties, plus giving you a better chance of avoiding being outnumbered. You'll probably end up dropping a regiment of hammerers and a bit of shooting to accomplish this; that's fine, you've got enough combat blocks anyway.
As to King Alrik, he could indeed lead the army, but you'd probably do better by taking a generic lord. He won't have Alrik's special abilities, but you can easily make him stronger and more resistant, and quite possibly cheaper, too. The special characters in the dwarf book really aren't that special...

You need bigger infantry units 20-25 is good.

Also I wouldn't recommend taking Alrik. He is expensive, not that hard too kill, and you will find yourself a little trapped if you decide to add any black powder machines to his army, cos i believe they cost double.

Take a runed-up dwarf lord instead, they are generally cheaper - see my post for my current effort!
