Title: SCoM chat
Description: For OOC discussion

LordChilipepa - September 29, 2003 05:01 PM (GMT)
As rules questions, debate courses of action, etc. - same as Adventure 1 chat. Anything SCoM-related while not in character goes here.

Khrangar - September 29, 2003 06:33 PM (GMT)
How much gold did we get each?

LordChilipepa - September 29, 2003 06:37 PM (GMT)
Each of you began with 500 gold to "build" your character. I used the character construction system to make the nearest thing I could to your descriptions, while staying withing the limits of the rules. Whatever you had left, you got as starting gold, plus your "pouch", 3D10+5 gold. You can see how much gold you have on the character post.

Does there exist a possibility of animosity and/or combat between party members?

A possibility you say?
Of course. Its all to do with the characters. There are no rules for it, but if a character wants to just attack another they can. But there are consecuences. Big Consequences

RasputinII - September 30, 2003 03:44 PM (GMT)
2 things

1) Chili, will the bits with each of us doing things be done by PM or one the boards?

2) Like i said in character, after we have conducted out interviews then we should all meet up in copper shiners.

Use it as a base sort of thing. TYhat way we can share info.

LordChilipepa - September 30, 2003 04:23 PM (GMT)
@Aesgareth: Yes, you control your character in full - if you feel animosity towards another character, you can do what you like about it (remaining in character, of course).

@Rasputin: When the band splits fully, all interviews will be done by PM.

RasputinII - September 30, 2003 07:17 PM (GMT)
Cheers.

Both me and Vriishnak are going to the same place so how will that work?

LordChilipepa - September 30, 2003 07:20 PM (GMT)
You'll see. I'm sending the PMs out now, Aesgareth can say what he wants to do later. Please no-one "gather at the Coppershiners" until I give the go-ahead.

LordChilipepa - October 4, 2003 09:16 AM (GMT)
Wow...

Vriishnak has just proved himself to be a killing machine...

I'm sure he'll tell you all about it once you get back to the Coppershiners.

Drauthnir - October 4, 2003 03:25 PM (GMT)
Well then, it looks like I went to the wrong place. I missed all the fighting!

LordChilipepa - October 5, 2003 09:16 PM (GMT)
For claymore150uk's information, there is no dwarf in the group.

Aesgareth - October 5, 2003 10:01 PM (GMT)
Uhhh, that was my mistake, actually. At some point, Rasputin 2 said that he was joining the quest "Because of Valaya's losses," and that he would go to "the temple" (along with Vriishnak). Since Valaya is a Dwarven Goddess, I assumed that the temple was run by dwarves, hence Vaclav's comment about the dwarves not appreciating us sending an elf to investigate...

RasputinII - October 6, 2003 08:43 AM (GMT)
sorry i meant Verena. Wrong god, well there all the same

claymore150uk - October 6, 2003 06:00 PM (GMT)
read small gods and you'll realise that not all gods are the same

ALL HAIL THE GREAT GOD CUT ME OWN ARM OFF DIBLAH GOD OF SNEAKY MANIPULITIVE SAILSMEN!!!

LordChilipepa - October 7, 2003 09:17 PM (GMT)
....So, what did you guys think of the fight :)?

To give you rough gauge of how powerful your characters are, those guys were pretty much normal monsters although slightly better equipped than normal. They had chainmail (armour value 6 on torso, groin and arms), steel skullcaps (armour value 4 on head) and greaves (armour value 4 on legs). They were armed with a selection of Sabres (2D6+2 damage), Hook-swords (2D6 damage) and Battle-axes (2D6+5 damage) and were all S60, adding one point of damage to their blows (you add a point of damage for each 10 points over 50 your strength is).

Aesgareth - October 7, 2003 09:51 PM (GMT)
Ugh. Any chance of Vaclav waking up before anythng else happens?

And great fight, btw. Too bad I didn't get to do anything fun :(

Vriishnak the Twisted - October 7, 2003 11:35 PM (GMT)
Beautiful. I'm loving this RPG a lot.

Drauthnir - October 8, 2003 12:28 AM (GMT)
Well, Vaclav didn't get it so bad, I'm sure he'll be up and kicking before long.

I'm surprised my character didn't pass out; he's like Boromir!
And I can see why some of those other characters are combat monsters too.
Our group is going to be feared before long.

claymore150uk - October 8, 2003 07:17 PM (GMT)
draughir your guy is a tank (or a space marine) i feel a bit feeble with my guy (who'd have a tough job beating an old halfling in a fight) compared to the rest of you

RasputinII - October 9, 2003 03:45 PM (GMT)
Thats great Clay

Vriishnak shall now be crisened "Killing machine!"

Love the fight Chili. This is a great RPG. Perhaps even better then Scaly's stuff. Its certainly quicker and better written (no offence oh scaled one, its just that well i know chili, and he is a master!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RasputinII - October 25, 2003 01:14 PM (GMT)
2 things:

1) Me, Vriishnak and Luthor just had the best written fight ever!!!!! It was like 2 a4 pages long!

2) Chili, shall me and Vriishnak post on the boards now?

LordChilipepa - October 25, 2003 01:15 PM (GMT)
No, things are still going by PM.

claymore150uk - October 29, 2003 06:41 PM (GMT)
true the fight was very cool (little note to everyone don't fight wights)

LordChilipepa - October 30, 2003 10:00 PM (GMT)
I don't know - if it was everyone you could fight wights. I think the main problem was that it was just the three of you...all alone in the dark sewer, with no-one to hear you scream...

Although Luther screamed rather girlishly when he got hacked in the face, didn't he? Distinctively high-pitched and feminine, I thought.

Vriishnak the Twisted - October 31, 2003 01:11 AM (GMT)
Yeah, sounded pretty girly to me, too. :D
Wights aren't so bad, as long as you don't let them cut your head half off...

claymore150uk - October 31, 2003 09:33 AM (GMT)
hey! i'm not a combat fighter but i can fry people better than you guys (fire mages are useful if your in the wilderness as cooks)

RasputinII - October 31, 2003 09:46 AM (GMT)
So your back, and now in the warhammer equiallent of hospital

So how was the history trip? Did you have to go the mental hospital after Mr Keddies public exorbishionism?

claymore150uk - November 1, 2003 05:27 PM (GMT)
worst was Driver people this is a history Teacher who thinks that its a disgrace for British children to lay down their poppies at German graves (i might add that the Gemans had to squeae 40000 people into and area of maybe 200 square metres.)

Oh and when do i wake up could someone complain about these guys i mean next time i'm quitting NHS and going private

Drauthnir - November 7, 2003 05:30 PM (GMT)
My character's name is Gerard...

Does the time we spend in the Temple of Morr depend on our wounds at all?

Aesgareth - November 5, 2003 11:48 PM (GMT)
In the words of Neo; Woah!

That fight kicked some serious @$$! And the best part is, Vaclav actually did something useful for a change!

Drauthnir - November 5, 2003 11:56 PM (GMT)
Yes, Vaclav was quite insane. He fought like a Vampire...

Vriishnak the Twisted - November 6, 2003 01:12 AM (GMT)
Unlike me. A single wight before I got taken down!?

Aesgareth - November 6, 2003 02:38 AM (GMT)
A vampire!?? Shhhh! Vorblis the liche was strong enough! Do you really want LCP throwing Blood Dragons at us?? *shudders*

Vriishnak: KB?

Vriishnak the Twisted - November 6, 2003 02:42 AM (GMT)
Nah, just bad luck on a system shock(or whatever it's called) test, I think. only 11 damage, so...

Aesgareth - November 6, 2003 02:53 AM (GMT)
Oh. That must be what happened to Vaclav last time... Very comprehensive fighting system you've got here, LCP.

Hmmm... I don't suppose we could just leave the templar lying there to slowly expire from his seppuku-like wounds? He did ruin my perfectly good plan with his foolish, paladinesque heroics...

Vriishnak the Twisted - November 6, 2003 02:57 AM (GMT)
As long as somebody carries me out of there, I don't think I'll be complaining too hard...

Aesgareth - November 6, 2003 03:02 AM (GMT)
Hmmmm.... As the guy who earned the most experience from the fight, I hereby delegate any elf-carrying to... uhhh... someone else.

*dryly* You can tell that I'm bored, posting semi-spam like this. I've tickets for the late showing of "Revolutions" and every minute seems to take hours to tick by...

Drauthnir - November 6, 2003 04:14 AM (GMT)
My favourite part of the fight was how the priest had 62 wounds and was declared "very, very, dead", lol.

I guess I'll carry him out.

And are we done with PMs now?

Scaly - November 6, 2003 04:15 AM (GMT)
Well I got rather soundly beaten, but I played my templar well, oh well wake me up or something so I can take the sacrament back to Morr etc. I am a Templar Ill walk myself.
