Here's the video that Namco unveiled at E3:

And some info:

QUOTE
Namco subtly introduces Warhammer to the Namco family at E3 with a light-hearted teaser trailer...

During the hectic and high-speed atmosphere of E3 today the sight of a column mounted TV will have easily been missed. That column mounted TV was however the first unveiling of Warhammer, which is to be published on PC.

Although the minute long teaser was nothing more than a witty pre-rendered animation featuring an Orc and Namco mascot Pacman, it did set up the anticipation levels with the description from a Namco spokesperson that Warhammer is a “…next generation RTS title.”

When asked to clarify whether this meant Next Generation PC or Console, the spokesperson confirmed that it was in regards to the genre as opposed to a specific format - leaving us to think wildly what Namco have got in store.

How the game will actually push the boundaries of the RTS genre will remain to be seen, but as you can see from the video, Namco have no reservations about strongly associating themselves to their new franchise.

Grimgor Ironhide - May 29, 2005 10:32 PM (GMT)
hmmm it didn't really show anything. that could have just been an animation at the beginning of the game or something.

Somehting i want to know is was that big thing a bone giant cus it looked liek one for vampire style.Hopefulyl it wil lcome out for consoles so i can play it(if it coem otu for pc it wil lned tandl and i odnt blodoy have it and it annoys the hell otu of me).

The Albino Rat - June 5, 2005 12:52 AM (GMT)
o god i hope it isn't another hack n slash game....

mumba_jumba - June 5, 2005 12:58 AM (GMT)
I think it should be alot like Dawn of War, that was a great game. It should be like the WHFB, but not as "start-stop" as the turn based tabletop game.

The Albino Rat - June 5, 2005 07:40 PM (GMT)
I dont think dow was so great, it was pretty pointless. All that would happen online is there would be a two massive defense bases and a 3 hour game... The main mission was horrible, and their format for their online servers always crashed, reset, and boot me off for no reason. I prefer war craft III much more.

Im hoping its a better verison of dark omens cus that was a good game and kept what warhammer was(is) about but hopefully there will be several cmapigns.

I'd like a "baldurs gate" style game, the one where you design your own character.

Angry Priest - June 17, 2005 09:01 PM (GMT)
The link does not work for me, but I have heard rumours of this game.

I liked Dark Omen alot, a little easy but I liked the map and mercenery hiring system (you felt as if you were achieving something)

Ahh dark omens is awseome and if this simmlar it will be awsome as well.
One hting i must say is i would like it if u did get to make ure own character and they added a sort of rpg theme 2 it but i dont think they coudl do that seening as it would more or les copy warlords battlecry which is very smmilar. Im just hoping they have al lraces in it.
