My friend plays bretonians and i can never beat their high armour...
Can someone share some of their anti bretonian stratagies
(my only stratagy is to use dark riders to march block, and use a noble to hold the grail knight unit for the whole game)
Well I play Bretonnia against Dark Elves all the time I have to tell you that you have a major problem in front of you. With the revamping of the Lady's Blessing you have 2+ armour save, 6+ ward save knights to take out.
You need to use the biggest power units you can, cold one knights and chariots.
Sit back and try your best to wittle down the bret's numbers with superior magic and shooting and when it looks like he is ready charge pray that he is slightly out of range, that is the key. If you get the charge with the knights and chariots then you should be able to smash through the armour and tie up the units in ridiculously long lasting combats because of the Lance Formation's new weakness.
Also, assassins are key, especially with the touch of death, I hate when those things pop out and mess up my charge. Always challenge with the assassin, it brings up his survivability, lets him get large overkill bonuses and a Bretonnian cannot decline; just watch out for the powerful anti-assassin hero (ie. immune to poison and killing blow, the Bret player can make one of them).
Support charges with executioners are nice too, killing blow is the most effective way to kill a knight, handsdown. Utilize that ability and you should be able to at least draw.
Good luck, you're going to need it, I haven't gotten less than a massacre against dark elves in four years.
you said a weakness in the lance formation....what is this
Only 4 attacks because it is 3 models wide. I agree with what luc said but you also can use exposed flanks to your advantage.
